after looking in different sites for the best Juicer a brand that personally I didn't know caught my eyes. I ordered the Hamilton Beach 67601A, and i was a little afraid of not having a good quality product. as soon as i received the juicer, I gave it a try the next morning by making a Carrot/Veet juice. this juicer blew my mind! the juice extraction process was as easy as 1.turn on the juicer 2.place the fruit/vegetable on the top 3. Gently push the fruit/Vegetable onto the grinder. I only used 4 carrots and 1 veet to make a 16oz glass of juice. it blew my mind that after I used MAJOR BRAND juice extractors this one is the most powerful. (this is an 800watt juiced compared with the 400watt juicer "SEEN ON TV" and the best of all there are no spills or juice loss when making juices. I would recommend this to everyone looking to get a healthier life without the hassle of having to clean up a mess. i mean you would have to clean the grinder manually, but everything else can be just put on the dishwasher and it will get cleaned up.

Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor Pros: Inexpensive - under $50 Efficient - extracted pulp is not watery Easy assemble/disassemble - for cleaning Cons: A bit loud - 90 to 100 dB Overall I’m quite pleased with this juicer’s performance. I read reviews and watched videos before deciding to purchase the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor. Juiced: Carrots, cucumbers, beets, celery, tomatoes, apples, pears, broccoli (not recommended - too over powering taste), peaches, plums, and grapes. Looking forward to trying ginger root and other fruits and veggies. Have not tried squishy fruit (bananas) or leafy items (kale). The juicing process literally takes seconds once your fruit/veg selection is washed. Be sure to stir the juice before removing the “head” (foamy top). Most of that mixes quite well and doesn’t taste any different. For best results use a veggie bag for the waste bin for easy clean-up. If you refrigerate the bag of pulp, you can reuse it 3-4 times before throwing it away or adding it to your compost pile. Likewise, for best results clean all removable parts as soon as you’re done juicing. The plunger, top lid and strainer outer sleeve clean easily with running water. The strainer is just a tad more intense. Use the included brush to FIRST gently scrub the strainer’s outer mesh under running water, then rinse the inside, then gently scrub the inside and rinse again. The entire cleaning process takes less than 5 minutes. Some folks recommend soaking items in water if you cannot clean them until later - I agree. As for the sound - it’s pretty darn loud. 90 decibels just to start the machine and up to 100 dB depending on what hard fruit/veg you are juicing. However, like I mentioned earlier - juicing takes under a minute. What? What did you say??? Refrigerator Humming - 40 dB Vacuum Cleaner - 70 dB Garbage Disposal - 80 dB HB Juicer - 90 dB Chain Saw - 110 dB Jet Engine - 140 dB Godzilla screaming after stubbing toe - 260 dB

I just got this today and started juicing right away. I juiced kale, celery, spinach, blood oranges, navel oranges, strawberries, celery, cucumber, grapefruit and apples. I'm trying to mostly do green juices to get more veggies into my diet and I'm hoping to have a juice for breakfast or lunch every day. However, I am lazy so it needs to be quick and easy. I juiced while cooking dinner in the instant pot and then ate and then juiced some more. I started juicing at about 7 , took a dinner break of about 45 min and finished at 10pm including clean up and the interruptions of a toddler, pre teen and teen. Just being a mom and basically having everything take twice as long lol. Anyways, I got the recommended glass bottles from Amazon and I filled all 6 of them and used a tons of my ingredients up. There was a large amount of pulp left. I used a grocery bag as others had recommended for easier clean up. The only reason I knocked off a star is because it does not come with its own fill cup. I had to use a Tupperware that was short enough to fit under the spout but that allowed dripping and then I had to transfer that to the only thing I had with a spout , which is a teapot, so I could pour it in my glass bottles. So that was a little annoying and added to the clean up. I hope to make 6 bottles in one session every week. At mast its fun watching the veggies and fruit be obliterated! Oh and my fav green juice so far is kale, cucumber and apple. Not a fan of the celery or spinach in large quantities. I'm excited to try other combos. Oh and strawberries don't seem to juice well but it sure makes the juice a pretty color! Edit 2/03/19: My husband and I made 6 bottles today and having his help to chop everything up made it go much faster. I increased it to 5 stars because I used my brain this time and got out one of my measuring cups with a spout and it fit under the spout perfectly and I was able to pour into the glass bottles with no mess. He wants to start drinking juice with me too so we should be getting more use our of this machine. This is probably the 3rd time I've used it since I bought it though. Green juices are so easy to make and throwing a couple apples or an orange in make them sweet. I usually do 1-1/2 cucumbers, a couple handfuls of spinach, a handful of kale, and then either 3 apples and an orange or just 4 apples. I know that's probably sweeter than most do but it makes drinking them an enjoyable experience. I've also done similar ratios and added things like ginger and lemon which gives it a nice zing if I'm in the mood.

I bought the Hamilton Beach juicer because the reviews were more good than bad. My boyfriend and I have been using this juicer every day for almost 2 weeks (twice in one day for 2-3 of those days).... Let me tell you, I cannot be more happier. So far (LOL) It's worked perfectly. I recommend peeling fruits such as lemons because throwing it into the juicer may cause it to get spit back out. We put a plastic bag into the back end where the skin and remains come out through to speed up the cleaning process. The process between the start of juicing the items to turning off the sink from cleaning the machine parts takes--MAYBE five minutes.... Yes, I said 5 minutes. IF that. It's quite an easy clean up, with just rinsing and scrubbing one of the parts with the brush it comes with. For the price, and for the fact this is my very first juicer i've purchased, i'm quite happy. For the price of 3 bottled juices i've been paying from juice bars, I have been able to make at least 6 days worth of juices of the same amount (for TWO people). If you're skeptical, I'd go with this particular model juicer. It won't break your bank, and as i've said, I'M happy with it and am glad I made the decision to start juicing at home. I, in fact, look forward to it every morning. (: UPDATE: Jan 14.... this juicer is still standing!!!!

This juicer is exactly what I wanted and needed. I use it every day to make some fresh vegetable and fruit juice, and I'm having a lot of fun trying different combinations. The product provides a cleaning brush with very stiff bristles, and it is very helpful in removing the pulp from the strainer. The parts and easy to put together and pull apart for quick and easy cleaning. The juicer is a bit loud, but that is to be expected with the power this machine has. I have had no problems with any of the parts, and I've juiced apples, broccoli, beets (be careful of the juice as it stains very quickly), carrots, cucumbers, chard, oranges (with the peel), limes, strawberries, and pineapple. The only draw back that I've seen is that because the machine is so powerful, when I drop some food in the chute while the blades are going, some pieces fly back out. They aren't big pieces, and I honestly don't mind. My only concern is when I'm juicing beets because the juice that comes flying out can stain very easily. This isn't really a drawback for me. I just wear t-shirt or an apron. I do use a small trash bag for the pulp collector to keep that clean. It's one less thing to hand wash/put in the dishwasher, and it makes taking out the trash easy.

i read a number of reviews that were less than glowing - - - frankly - - - some of the complaints are (at least for me just not true). some complain about the 'jumping around" - whereas the unit is light and I lightly place a hand on the top for caution the unit does NOT jump all around. some complain of the 'loud noise ' - it is no noisier than most any juicer. some complain of poor blades and poor separation of juice and pulp - I have not seen this so far (I have been using daily for only 14 days), but thus far the pulp is very dry which tells me a maximum amount of juice is being extracted. I am FULLY SATISFIED with the unit. A plus that I had not considered when purchasing is the wide mouth. this wide mouth is certainly a selling feature related to ease of use. easy clean up. 100% pleased with the purchase at 14 days and using daily. + + + + +

So I made the mistake of purchasing a black and decker first and used it for 10 minutes and thought juicing may not be for me. If only I purchased this juicer first, little to no prep time, super easy to clean and disassemble. I only had it for a couple days it hasn't malfunctioned yet as the other did, so I'm happy. I was able to make a gallon of juice relatively quick, hoping this last.

I first used it to juice carrots, and boy am I pleased! It did such a good job! The pulp was dryish, which means it got the juice out, it ground them so well I hardly had to use the stopper and the juice was cold. With other juicers they heat up thus heating up the juice, not this one. Fresh cool carrot juice in minutes. I am very pleased.

I think for the price you can’t beat this ! I would put a plastic bag for the exit part you not using for easy clean up . I would also buy a Steel scrub brush to clean the blade part the brush that comes with it does not clean as well Recipe ; Two carrots Two apples Two cucumbers Use very large container and this will make three median size glasses - 8 oz each glass Drink one every day and put the rest in the fridge and store - stir before serving Delicious !!!

This is my first juicer. Having heard of others that were more expensive I wasn't sure how well it would all work out. However this juicer is plenty powerful. I halved fruits like lemons and limes, peels on, and it handled it great. Most larger apples needed to be divided as well, but no problem. I didn't want a large whole apple every day anyway. Large handfuls of greens juiced within seconds as well. A regular glass of 12 oz. fit comfortably under the strainer spout. ( got the book to get the part names correct). One needs to be fast with the food pusher. Directions say to turn it on THEN, insert the ingredients. Well if you don't cover the feed chute fast enough you will have a mess. Assembly is easy, just follow the directions in the book. Same goes for clean up. Book says to turn the center piece with blade/basket in it upside down to dislodge, and that's the way to go. Included is a sturdy brush that works great on the mesh basket. Parts are sturdy and the base is solid. There is only on / off. No speeds. So, I like it and recommend this juicer. So, I would recommend this juicer Not sure about sound versus others, but its a little loud. But usually the job is done quick so again no problem. I really like it and would recommend it to the average juicer.
