Peace of mind for caregivers of the young and old!

Purchased this item to provide peace of mind for family and 24 hour caregivers staying with my dad. He was so slick and could get out of bed and creep around the bed to the bathroom without anyone hearing him even with a baby monitor. He was fiercely independent and resented someone sitting in view of his room. We knew he wouldn't tolerate a bed alarm, and the motion sensor was the perfect solution. We were able to place it in a corner of his room which he didn't notice. When he would sit up on the bed and drape his legs down over, the chime would ring in the room where the caregiver was sitting. He only once told me he thought someone was at the door, but I assured him it was the television. He never questioned how someone always magically appeared when he would sit up on the edge of the bed. This was most helpful and gave all of us peace of mind. A tip to the caregiver, when the "doorbell" rings, the caregiver must turn it off before going into the room or it will ring when the sensor detects the caregivers presence. I now have the monitor and motion sensor stored away at my house and pull it out when our three year old grandson visits. I use it at his bedroom door at night to prevent him from wandering, and I place it across the path of the front door to make sure he doesn't slip outside unnoticed during the day. This has been money well spent!

Helpful taking care of my grandma who has frequent falls

I have been a caregiver for my granny for two years now and as she slowly declines there have become new obstacles to overcome and the last one involved her falling in the bathroom in the middle of the night. It was a pretty bad fall but no broken bones thank God as she's 81 now. I've been learning as I go since being given this fairly new responsibility and I knew I had to figure out a way to know when she gets up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I've had this a month now and find it very helpful. I position it on her dresser (you have to try out a couple positions to see what works best for you) and it wakes me up when she gets up out of bed with the options of a high, medium, or low chime. So far the only problem I'm having is trying not to scare the bejesus out of her when I pop up unexpected half asleep in the dark, but it is necessary as she is high fall risk. I definitely recommend this when taking care of an elderly family member who is unsteady on their feet and has frequent falls.

BEST solution!! I am SO happy I bought this.

My daughter sleepwalks. This has SAVED my sanity. I have the motion sensor outside her door. It always works perfectly and sounds the doorbell sound on the monitor for me. The best part is, the alert continues until you turn it off. If it were one ding, I may not wake up. This ensures I wake up. If you have someone elderly, or a sleepwalker, or anyone you need to ensure don't leave an area, this is the BEST product. It has helped us so much and I can finally sleep with peace of mind!

Very easy to set up and use

I just brought my husband home from the hospital and he is a very high fall risk. The motion sensor works well to alert me if he is trying to get up. I then use a baby monitor camera to see what he is doing and respond accordingly. This sensor/monitor is s huge help to me. Very easy to set up and use. Thanks for making my caregiver life easier!

This is an excellent product

Just purchased this monitor and alarm. It was was already preset so all I had to do was insert the batteries. The monitor and alarm work perfectly. I do not need to reset the motion sensor once triggered. All one has to do is shut off the chimes on the monitor. Placed it on the floor so it would sense if a person was getting out of bed at night. Easy to place without undue triggering. Turn it off during the day.

This simple system works very well for me. My dad has Alzheimer disease, and I needed something that would wake me up at night when and if he got out of bed. I located it in the hallway outside of the bedrooms, mounted to the wall high enough so the cat would not trip it. A doorbell type chime goes off and continues until you turn it off. 3 volume levels on the chime. Since both are battery operated, I make sure to turn both the sensor and chime off after I am awake for the day.

Accurately senses movement and adjustable volume.

Super easy to use. Came ready to go after inserting the batteries. The volume has a selection of low, medium and high and a door chime tone. Not a loud, high pitched tone like others I’ve research. This monitor is a life saver to warn when my elderly father attempts to get out of bed by himself. Wish I had found this product months ago. Highly recommend for caregivers. Will be ordering the adapter soon.

Hopefully a better solution

have been using the smart caregiver wireless monitor for a couple years - the smaller version - it gets dropped occasionally and used constantly to monitor for fall prevention. They last about 6 months - hopefully this as a mid-range will last longer. I also have the high end one - I do not like it because there is no "off" to prevent the noise - the motion detector attaches to the wall which is good but when working near the area there is constant beeping-AUGHHHHH!

I love this product. It alerts me when my daughter is out of bed and going downstairs.

Can't keep a good man in

This combination has worked beautifully to alert others to dad's wondering at night. We now know when he walks out of home. However, he learned the monitor lets us know he was going out. So the stinker gets the monitor and takes it with him. He may not know who he is but he knows how to get outside when he wants.
