Great tuna, and the flavors make it even better

When you're eating low-carb/high-fat, there aren't always a lot of choices that are affordable. The Bumble Bee Albacore Tuna with Jalapenos & Olive Oil is definitely a good option. It has enough jalapeno taste without being overpowering, and it's packed in olive oil, not water, so you get some additional good fats. We also like the Bumble Bee Prime Fillet Tuna in Olive Oil, Chipotle flavor. Both are excellent.

I just received this a few minutes ago. I was glad to see all the cans in a flat box and wrapped with plastic. Not one can was dented. I talked to someone yesterday about receiving bent cans and these were packed exactly how I suggested. She did a great job. I do hope you have the kind I normally order with salt before I run out again. Thank you so much. I wish I could remember her name but I just remember it started with a D.

Truly low sodium (unlike other products), and so convenient to have on hand. Just wish it were cheaper.

Actually is low sodium, unlike other 'low sodium' products. My husband is supposed to have lots of fish, but also has to stay super-low-sodium to keep him off of blood pressure meds. It's working, but very challenging to find food he can eat, especially fish, which tends to be high in sodium. This has been a lifesaver, as he can make his own sandwiches and salads easily and get protein and the benefits of fish without going over his very, very low sodium quota. It's more expensive than regular tuna, which is a bit disappointing, but since I have no alternatives, I'm glad I can get this. I'll buy a lot more if the price ever goes down.

First let me say...I love Prime.....if you don't have it, get it,...you will not be disappointed by the Royal Service you will get. I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon and Prime is worth every penny to me... The Bumble Bee White Albacore tasted like it was just packed and sent from the fishing dock...........so good. Finally -- Tuna that Tastes Like Tuna!

A reviewer said his mother explained that the reason tuna doesn't taste the way it used to is because it's not packed in oil. He's right! I used to love a good tuna-salad sandwich, and lately, they just didn't taste right. I'd buy the best albacore, thinking that would work (I long ago abandoned buying regular tuna ... it was nothing but mush), but even that didn't turn out well ... there was an odd "non-tuna" taste to it. Then my shipment of "Bumble Bee Toono in Olive Oil" arrived. It's wonderful! This tuna tastes the way tuna used to! Thanks, Amazon, for giving us some options in our food choices.

Great tasting, with no extra additives.

This is a very good tasting tuna. The meat is solid, yet flakes apart easily. And I especially like that it does not contain soy, or other additives which many tuna brands contain. Plus, it is low sodium.

Excellent high-quality tuna fish

This is very high-quality tuna fish. It tastes excellent. Since it is packed in water, it is easy to rinse and then break into whatever size pieces that you want. It's excellent alone or in a sandwich. (If you want, all you need to add is a small amount of mayonnaise and lemon juice (or whatever you like to use.) It's a wonderful product, absolutely no fishy taste. An excellent purchase for my family. It's difficult to find in stores. It cost a little more, but is worth the price. My niece likes to add a small amount of pickle juice and small pieces of tomato. It truly is tasty.

since i'm on a salt restricted diet (God Hates Me) i've had to find stuff to eat. I like a good tuna melt and regular canned tuna will kill me so i buy this stuff and i like it. The price point is great! stuff is $3. plus a can at my local supermarket. can't beat it and it is healthier. I might live long enough to post this review.......

Very pleased! Second order!

Very pleased! Could hardly tell the difference from regular BB in water. I add a pinch of powdered mustard and lemon juice (onions when no guests lol) to add a bit of punch, but I used to do this with the regular as well. I just wish all foods were as easily available low salt and as good as this one!

Albacore -- and chipotle! Made for each other.

You're paying way too much for tuna if you eat the watery mush that's what has become of the standard chunk light style. A can used to hold a lunch's worth of meat, but now the after-draining content is practically nil. Albacore tuna, on the other hand, still fills the can -- and the meat is still whole, with very little liquid to throw away. I like putting just a bit of chipotle powder in my tuna for the smokiness and the bite. With this Bumble Bee albacore with chipotle, the pepper is almost perfect right out of the can. I usually don't add any more chipotle and enjoy the tuna just fine. Unlike regular BB albacore this variety comes packed in olive oil (versus water), so it's a bit messier to drain. However, the flavor is well worth it.
