***Update- The home button that had me concerned is beginning to have issues. Never felt right and now it’s not popping back up like it should. If you take your nail and press it works but it does not if you press it like normal. Other than the home button all else is fine. So my 1st one had a chipped digitizer and my 2nd one is now having home button issues. The screen is flawless and smooth however.*** This glass digitizer is everything advertised maybe even a little more. Everything you need to replace the glass is included. The kit actually comes with several tools and items I’ve never used or ever will in a screen replacement. This is a extremely hard repair! There is no harder repair than replacing a glass digitizer. I would not recommend unless you know what your doing. It will end up costing more if you don’t know what your doing. The adhesive is adequate and holds as expected. The glass is a little less quality than OEM but with all aftermarket budget parts that is also expected. Once everything is cleaned up sealed and adhesive is activated you cant tell any difference in the screen. Touch is responsive and it looks and feels great. The only issue I’ve noticed is the home button. For some reason it just don’t feel right. Nothing bad enough to prevent another purchase. But bad enough to give me concerns about longevity. Only time will tell. Since the home button does work well no star can be removed at this time. As a computer systems engineer who has changed man LCD,s on computers, phones, and tablets I feel comfortable this is a good product and a great one for the price.

Great Part - Skill Labor Required

Exact Fit and Works Great! But it's not the easiest repair job to tackle. I have many years of experience and can easily replace drives/screens/boards on any Dell/Lenovo/HP/Apple desktop/laptop. But this was my first iPad job. I made it through OK but I would imagine it's not a job for just anyone. I should mention that it cracked just a few minutes after I got it back together but I don't believe that it's any reflection on the quality of the part. The part seems fantastic but the original tumble that broke the original screen left a little dent in lower corner of the edge of the housing. I tried to straighten it as much as I could but I was also trying not the break the actual LCD screen at the same time. So as I applied pressure to set the adhesive in the new screen cracked in exactly the same manner as the old screen. Long story short I was basically squeezing a new straight screen into a slightly bent housing and didn't realize it. But it is still fully functional even with the crack so we should still get a good year or 2 of use out of it before the crack takes over again. We lived with the crack on the original screen for 3 years or so before it was bad enough to bother replacing.

So many super tiny screwes

Worked well. The process to replace is medium to hard, took me a little over an hour and I'm an engineer! So many super tiny screwes, some one said use a white bowl, excellent tip. There are several videos online on how to do it. Make sure you test it before you screwes any thing back. My iPad didn't work initially but was beeping once I plug in the charger. I rebooted it by holding the power and home buttons together for 10 seconds and it worked right after. The screen is very responsive and clean with no scratches. The home button is a little stiff but not a big deal. Hope it lasts. The tools that came with it are really good and will have future user for me, added value.

BEST mini screen outside OEM!!!

This screen DOES come with the chip, the Home button installed and the adhesive already attached. It is advised to ensure you buy a screen with these items already on the screen, as some of them aren't and it isn't the easiest thing to transfer - it needs to be lined up just so. I have installed a lot of these screens and the most important thing to know is to TAKE YOUR TIME! Watch videos, watch videos, and watch another video. The removal is a slow and tedious process, use the heat from a heat gun or a hair dryer to get the screen to where it is just too hot to touch for more than a second or two. Be very gentle prying the cracked screen up as you can break the LCD easily. Once the screen is completely removed, gently pry up the LCD as there is a little adhesive holding it down. The most important part of the repair is to make sure you DISCONNECT the battery before you disconnect LCD and digitizer. If you do not, you can "pop" a fuse on the motherboard / logic board. If this is your first attempt, just make sure you have a full belly, a good workspace and great lighting... you will be there a while; but, it will be worth it when you're done.

It didn't come with instructions but you can easily use the web to find them. But once you find the instructions they are super simple to follow and the the makers provide you with almost all the tools you need.

This kit saved my iPad mini, model md528ll/a. After viewing several you tube video including the one suggested with this kit, i attempted the repair after grabbing a few additional i teams. 1' dental floss, three cotton balls one splashed with goo off, and the other 2 with rubbing alcohol, medical gloves and a hair dryer. I would also recommend safety glasses. Also i did not like the suction cups so i went around the house and found a different type. Shower Suction hooks worked great. It was not a success the first time the LCD screen would not light up. After a few more attempts, it was ALIVE!! Now i know why people, charge what they do.

Was able to fix the screen on my ipad mini with zero issues and now it's like new again. The pre-installed adhesive is a must have and the tools included are a great collection to have. I have replaced a lot of screen on phones and such for co-workers, family and friends and wish each kit had these tools.

No phantom issues

I have bought at least 4-5 replacement screens from various sellers over the years because my kids keep dropping their iPads. This only the 2nd not to have an issue with phantom screen. Black iPad Mini Touch Screen Digitizer Complete Assembly with IC Chip worked great. It's been about a month since installation. But beware who you buy it from; their stock may not be the same. I purchased it from I-Mall Outlet, but I can't guarantee that their stock hasn't changed. Hope this helps!

Great kit came fast didn’t even need all these tool but at least they were available for ur use if needed watched a YouTube vid on a i pad mini and took me about an hour to install new screen if I have to do it again it would take me 15 min that’s how easy it is don’t be afraid to take the job it’s all strait forward make sure u use a hair blow dryer or heat gun for the edges to remove screen and after new screen is applied to heat up the edges so that the double sided tape adheres to the body of the I pad mini well make sure to test screen by turning pad on before securing everything again working smooth no ghostly images or ghost taping hope this helps

Ordered to replace my daughters busted iPad mini 2 screen. Arrived on time and was packaged pretty good. Took me about 45 minutes to replace screen. New screen works perfectly and looks great. Will definitely order another screen from here if she breaks this one. ---EDIT!--- After about 2-3 weeks after replacing my daughters ipad screen the left side of the screen does NOT work anymore. Gonna try a different brand next time.
