This thing charges so good. You can mix and match battery types and charge them together. It is sturdy and lights up green for each battery when charging is complete so you can remove the ones that are charged and leave the ones that aren't quite fully charged. So much better than the other brands that only would hold 2 batteries and then seemed to only last a few times.

Jan 19th EDIT: So I've seen a few comments/reviews complaining that it takes a very long time to charge batteries. *14 hours??* Well, that's not been my experience at all. I have 3 different brands of batteries And the average recharge time falls somewhere around 5-8 hours tops. Depending on how drained they are. I'm more than pleased with this charger that's only $10. Sure there are more expensive options available, but imo, this charger can't be beat for the price. (the trickle charge indicator is a nice feature also) High quality at a great price. Works flawlessly so far. --------------------------------------------- Update - Feb 12, 2015 I primarily use my eneloops and EBL's for my xbox one controller. Prior to last week, I was getting 10-12 hours of use out of them using a pair of Afterglow headset's. I just exchanged those for the Turtle Beach X40's. With these headset's, I'm only averaging 8-10 hours before the batteries die. If not less. I usually don't charge more than 2 pair's of batteries at a time, and try not to leave them in the charger after they're charged. (but several times I've left them in for about 2-3 hours) So, since I can't afford the La Crosse or Opus charger right now, I just ordered this one: Ambient Weather BC-2000 Intelligent Battery Charger for AA/AAA Rechargeable Batteries My eneloop's are about 2 year's old, but my EBL's are less than 6 months old. My fear is the EBL charger is killing my batteries, or the Turtle Beach's are using far more juice than the Afterglow's. I'll have the new charger by Monday, and will update my results after about 2 weeks of use. If I'm still getting the same results, than I'm taking back the TB's and trying the Razzr Karga headset's. (and then of course buying another 8 pack of EBL 2800's) I'll find out here in the next week or so and will update at that time.

It does what it says. It operates at low temperature though I filled it up with 8 fully drained batteries. Light indicators are red, orange and green (full charge). Narrow cutout strip in the back allows the charger to be hung from a wall, through it is not designed for that, it is designed with the strip to keep the unit cool.

This is the perfect companion to newer generation rechargeable batteries. It brought some of the batteries I had given up on back to life and I have since purchased some of the EBL batteries after only using Eneloop for a while. It has charged everything I've thrown at it so far, no spinning batteries around and hoping for the best involved and it doesn't require any effort on your part to charge any combination of AA and AAA batteries unlike some other chargers. Nothing to flip or switch, both size batteries are accommodated by the multiple contacts. It does feel flimsy and I wondered how well it would work at first but it really does work. I replaced two older chargers with this unit and so far everything has been great. I finally feel like I never have to buy non-rechargeable batteries of these types ever again.

I have purchased two of these chargers, one of them over one year ago and it's still going strong. The charger purchased recently failed within one month but EBL replaced it - no shipping fees, no hassle. Excellent customer service! I have also purchased rechargeable batteries from them and will continue to do so. I'm a happy customer :)

I bought this along with a 16 pack of 2800mAh EBL batteries. I bought it for XBox One controllers and perhaps some remote controls. XBox one charging stands and batteries are not as ideal as they were in the 360 controllers. I could only find a couple of charges on the market that would not interfere with the headset adapter that almost anyone who does online gaming would want on their controllers. The one I did find I liked for the most part; however, it didn't come with extra battery packs (and you couldn't buy extras either), it was not really designed to charge a battery pack outside of the controller, and the pack was very difficult to remove from the controller once installed. Long story short... once a battery pack died, that controller was out of commission until charged. With this charger and the 2800mAh batteries, I get continuous play on multiple controllers and longer battery life between swaps. Once the current batteries in my remote controls die, I will include these batteries in them as well, and I suspect I will very rarely have to change those batteries out.

Works great. Can recharge almost all my batteries at once. Not sure how long it takes, but it also depends on which batteries and how much charge they hold. I have various charging times, but the fastes ones are my newest duracell AAAs. They take one hour to fully charge. Others can take up to 2-3 hours. But I like the LED signaling when charging is complete. :) I bought this to replace an original energizer charger, since it broke somehow. I tried to repair it, but it just didn’t work. I like the fact that I can charge so many batteries at once, without having to worry about charging them all the day and changing two sets of batteries every 2 hours. I can leave them all at once and forget about them until I need them, since the charge station shuts off the charge feed when the blue led is on. This is also really good, to know which vatteries have been charged fully.

I have had this charger just about a month now. Replacement works good.

Ordered this after a very needed charger upgrade. I was surprised how quick the charge was 1-2hrs. My old Energizer took 12hrs. And also love the fact that it charges in 2s so you'll won't overcharge the batteries that already have enough power.

There are mixed reviews all over the place on this item. For me, I bought it along with two (2) sets of AmazonBasics AA High-Capacity Rechargeable Batteries (8-Pack) Pre-charged to run two (2) SimpleHuman Auto-Sensor Soap Dispensers (full set of batteries for both when running, and a backup set charged for when they need to be swapped out). Upon receeiving the EBL 8-Bay Batteryt Charger it's pretty much what I expected. Plastic, but seems well-made (you're not going to find iPhone or Sony quality build here as it is just a battery recharger. But it's solid, simple, clear labels and allows for easy loading/unloading of batteries. When it's plugged in with no batteries in, all the status lights are Green, when you plug in batteries status lights go to red (one light per every two batteries) making it clear the batteries are being charged. Since the batteries I bought from Amazon Basic were brand new/right out of the box and they are advertised as coming pre-charged all eight when connected to the EBL recharger turned the status lights red and stayed that way for a good hour after plugging in. They did eventually turn Green, so I removed them and plugged them into my SimpleHuman soap dispensers and they work just fine. All In all it does exactly what I need it to do: recharge rechargeable batteries. It's only day one with it so we'll see if like other customers who've bought this it stops working/dies on me.
