PROs: Don't let the price fool you. This backpack is a workhorse! I use it every day, from work to weekend trips. For work, it carries my gym clothes, laptop, lunch bag, and coffee/water without leaving strap indents in my shoulders. On the weekend, my wife an I convert it to a diaper bag, so it carries diapers, extra clothes/food, toys, changing pad, water bottles, blankets, etc. CONs: I might have missed it, but I didn't see an option for different colors. Also, one of the mesh side-pockets ripped. Since I don't know how to repair it and I don't want the rip to expand (making the pocket totally useless), I don't use it. That's a slight inconvenience. Overall, I want another one. It's perfect for everyday use or special occasions (family field trips - museums, carnivals, petting zoos, etc.).

I must admit that I was first skeptical about a backpack for under 30 bucks that would meet the rigorous demands of an IT technologist such as myself. Well, this is the best "IT crash bag" I have ever owned. It was recently field-tested under rugged conditions, much of it in the rain, holding up quite well, and unexpectedly pulled through for me under some trying circumstances. It held all my tools I needed: multi-tool, screwdriver, crimps, diag-cutters, adapters, notepads, pens, markers, cables, 17" laptop and charger, iPad Air, work gloves, flashlight, spare parts, etc. I hope the picture speaks for itself. I highly recommend it for field and office. EDIT: I would like to add this is one durable backpack! Lately I have been traveling with this bag on commercial flights as checked luggage, maybe twic, since I carry so many tools for my work. Without exception, I find a TSA card inside. One time, one of the zippers had popped off track. I was bummed that I might have to purchase another bag. I went online, found a relatively easy way to repair it. SAVED MONEY and TIME. In my experience, manufacturers skimp on the zipper quality, causing it to easily crack or completely break if you try to pry at it with needle-nosed pliers or screwdriver. Not in my case! Happy customer.

After one week of use and a trip across the state, I'm a solid fan. I have a a few more trips scheduled and hear that the bag doesn't always hold up. I'll post an update if there are any issues. I have a 17" MBP and have had no issues with the size. I would have preferred more places to store pens, but oh well. I'm not sure why there are complaints about the padding and protection for the laptop inside of the bag. Don't use this bag to hit people and you will be fine. This has been a nice change from carrying an attache case. Solid construction and nice functions make this a solid win! Update after Four Months: I have been using this bag daily to transport laptop and ipad between work and home. I have also gone on three trips, one by train and two by car. This bag is still like new and holding up strong. After some use, I really like that there are 3 "storage" compartments in the front not including the space for pens and stuff (five total compartments). The storage options lets me keep personal and business paperwork from mixing. I typically carry a laptop, ipad, a couple of textbooks, and all the other junk that just sits there in the bag.

Update- Jan 21, 2018 Update as promised. This backpack still holding up very well. No rips, no tears, zippers still intact. Every day I think to myself "Should I buy another one of these bad ass backpack's?” This just confirms one of the best packs I have purchased. Past post: Good quality so far as I just received it. Here are some issues right off the bat: 1. Top pocket just before the laptop compartment good however don't put in anything too heavy as it will weight it down and make the part of the backpack sag. 2. Pockets are a bit thin and cheap "looking", keep in mind I will update the review later down the line to report if that changes or they rip/tear. 3. Laptop compartment; looks good however the bottom needs a bit more padding. I was able to find some heavy foam and cut to fit it in the bottom, just to protect from setting down the bag while the laptop is in there. 4. Zippers are a little tough to zip as they catch on the material withing however overall good so far.

I like this backpack. I looked at a lot of them online and in a few stores before deciding on this one. It is well-made, the materials are plenty sturdy, and yet it is still light and comfortable to carry. I had a hard time settling on which backpack to buy. This will accommodate a large laptop, so it ended up being a bit large for me. I wasn't sure how many pockets would be useful in a backpack I use for my laptop + business stuff. This has too many for my purposes. I get lost in the zippers. I frequently open the wrong one. There are 5 zippered compartments, with 4 zippers across the top pretty close to each other. 1) I use the very front zippered compartment for biz cards, pens, etc. There are lots of handy pockets in there for these things. 2) The next compartment back contains my laptop power cord, wireless mouse, adaptors, any other cords/cables, etc. There is plenty of room to spare. 3) The next compartment towards the back is the one I could do without. I'm not sure what to put in there. Sometimes I put my purse in there because I don't want to carry that separately along with the backpack and a projector. 3 separate bags to carry is too much. 4) The next compartment back is a small zippered pouch that hangs from the top between the 2 largest zippered compartments. I never use it, and it gets in the way. I'm thinking about cutting it off because it's irritating. I'd much rather have 1 fewer zippers to clutter up the top of the pack. 5) The rear zippered compartment is very spacious. I could carry several textbooks and/or binders if I used it for college. I often have presentation handout folders and sometimes a light jacket in there. 6) Laptop pouch/sleeve inside rear large zippered compartment. A thick, large laptop would fit in this. My thin, 15" laptop floats around, so I usually slide a padfolio in with it. There's still room for something thin if needed. It's nicely padded and there's some foam at the bottom. This should be plenty of padding unless you plan on throwing your pack down with force with your gear in it. 7) I haven't used the mesh pockets on the sides. I think I'd like to trade at least one in for a zippered pocket. My gym backpack has 1 water bottle pocket and 1 zippered pocket, which I like. There's a lot I like about this backpack. It's well made and designed, so I give it 5 stars for that. If I had to pick again, I'd probably pick a smaller backpack with fewer pockets as noted above, only based on personal preference for how I use it. I'm not going to trade this in, but if it wears out then I'll have a better idea what to pick next time. I'm generally pretty satisfied with it. :-)

Love this backpack. I was able to accommodate 2 laptops (both in cases) as well as all of the accessories (plugs, mice, headsets) for them. I also carried a tablet and all of our "carry on" needs (hats, sunglasses, sweatshirts) with room to spare. And while our bag was not light with all of our "stuff" - the shoulder straps were padded well and provided good cushion so it was not painful to carry. The bag has was easily adjusted, so both my husband at 6'3", my daughter at 5'4" and me at 5'3" could all carry comfortably. Would highly recommend!

Sweet Bag. Well thought out pocket/section design. Well worth the modest amount of cheese Amazon is asking for it. I'm picky/finicky about things and I really like this bag. Will revisit my review in time should there be any issues but I don't foresee any. Quality Cordura nylon type material, quality zippers, there's a lot of bang for the buck here. Here are pics of the front storage compartment as well as a few of the bag with my Acer Chromebook 15 CB5-571-C1DZ (15.6-Inch Full HD IPS, 4GB RAM, 16GB SSD) stowed to give you an idea of the padded laptop compartment size. You can also see the retro-reflective material used on the exterior of the bag. Get one, enjoy it and thanks Amazon for offering a great product at a reasonable price.

Okay, this has to be one of the best products I've bought on Amazon. Seriously, I buy a lot here, and the last laptop bag I bought was for my Macbook Pro, and I got it from an Apple store for $80. Don't get me wrong, the backpack is STILL being used after 6 years of serious wear and tear and it holds up great, but THIS back...freaking WOW--it has room, extra thick padding, compartments for my laptop, my flatbed scanner, all my books, keys, art supplies and just about anything else I can think of to bring along...all without unzipping the expansion zipper! This thing is TOUGH, very comfortable to wear and I love the quick pull adjustment straps. Just put the thing on and tug once to get the perfect shape for you body frame. This is a great buy if you want high-quality and durability. Perfect for the kids and back to school. I'll be buying many more! THANKS AMAZON!!!

Not only is this thing bigger than it looks in the pictures, but it's one of those backpacks that has a million pockets and compartments you'll never use but appreciate they're there; or like I do, and find things you'll never use. But in the off chance the cute girl in your chemistry class needs a copy of the periodic table, youll be able to not only not impress her, but come up with chemistry puns that make her uncomfortable to be in the same room with you. Nothing on the backpack is thin. The flaps, stitching, pockets, all THICK. Very durable and well made. The first thing I noticed were the thickness of the zipper thingys (the part you hold and move) you'll walk around with the confidence of a pineapple-less pizza with this swag bag. In short: GET THIS BACKPACK NOOOOWWWW!!!!

AWESOME! Holds itself - no back pain, ROOMY, DURABLE, fits 15.6 in laptop and so much more! This backpack is awesome! It has a million pockets - including room for pens, water bottle mesh holders on the side (that have a tight band on top and can easily secure my snack!, and lots of other spots. Most of all, it has some kind of hard padding in the back that protects my 15.6 inch laptop that fits PERFECTLY, with plenty of room. I can easily fit my laptop, Powerade, water bottle, lunch, notebooks, and SO MUCH more in this backpack. Of course, comfort is a huge deal when I'm walking around campus and standing on crowded buses all day to get from class to class. This backpack IS IT! it practically holds itself. It is made out of durable material, padded well, and feels heavy until you put it on your back and guess what - no back pain! No strain, no ache. This backpack was MADE with college students, or really any student, in mind. Totally worthwhile buy!
