Very nice starter clock to teach the little one the mechanics of time/duration/numbers/clock-wise/counter-clock-wise. Comes with cards that we have not even used yet as he will just destroy them but will come in handy later. So far the clock has been working well & very durable.. .

This thing is so great for teaching time! It is like the updated version of those Judy clocks you learned from in elementary school. I love that there is a window you can open and close that will show you the time that is displayed. It is also great to color code the minute hands/times and the hour hands/times too. I personally wish that like a Judy clock, the hour hands can turn in conjunction with the minute hands so you can learn where the hour hand is positioned towards the end of an hour versus the beginning but you can't have it all right? Still, this is a 5 star teaching clock in my opinion.

I bought this because the app with games I had originally purchased wasn't effectively teaching my daughter how to tell time no matter how much she played it, and I had learned on a toy much like this one. She likes it a lot and figured out analog time telling just playing with it over a couple of days, and now she is teaching her stuffed animals how to tell time. The key component is that the digital clock and the analog hands are connected so that the digital clock can always tell you what time you've set the hands to. I also like the color coding. It helped my daughter a lot to know that the red numbers and hand all meant hours while the blue numbers and hand all meant minutes.

Fun to teach my children about the time ! Cute little clock and makes learning more fun and exciting !! Good quality and I love how it’s made out of wood .. got this for Christmas and it’s still holding up very well !! :)

A wonderful set that is easy to use for toddlers. I may beambitious to start my son telling time at 2 and a half but that's what is so great about this product. Any age can function the dials. I ordered a few different clocks. All were sent back but this one. Thank you Melissa and Doug for always carrying the best products!

Within minutes, my son was figuring out time. Red hands match to the hour, blue hands match to the minutes and the cards are written in digital format to test the analog skills. My 5 year old loves it and especially the window on the digital clock that can open and close to check you match the card and the time right. He loves it! We even use it as our new "timer" and I move the hands to the time we need to leave and he can see it matches the real analog clock and understands its time to go.

this is a great teach tool in the guise of a fun toy... in no time my grand daughter was telling time and playing school... she learned both regular time and 24 hour time... in less that a few days... she was ready to learn... 6 years old and they don't teach this in school, I do not understand this... but she will always be able to tell time and is now teaching her younger sister....

I was very impressed with this clock! It teaches analog, but you have the option of it showing you the digital reading by opening or closing a sliding door. It comes with some flashcards to use for practice. It also seems to be of high quality because my grandson plays with it all the time. It is a great tool for any child learning to tell time.

This clock was perfect in every way. My 4 year old is learning very well with it. It's big, colorful, and takes a licking (remember Timex' old motto? Takes a licking and keeps on ticking) I've bought more time cards from walmart in the toy department (children card games) so he can work on all sorts of time. But it's really great. The "digital" window is manual and really just an extra learning tool. Keep it closed and if the child has trouble with the time they can peek in the window.
