• By diffusing the flash, the softbox creates an even lighting that allows you to capture picture-perfect shots
  • Converts the harsh light from flash to a softer, diffused light, while reducing shadows and softening hot spots
  • Simply unfold the diffuser and attach the fastening tapes front, and you're ready to go
  • Stretch opening allows you to connect the diffuser to most shoe mount flashes
  • Note: Camera and speedlight are NOT included

This slides on the head of the flash and works as expected ... It does soften the light better then bare flash. The shadows are lighter and not so harsh, as when bare flash would be used... By having this on your flash you may lose about 1/2 - 2/3 a stop of light. For the money it was worth it. It did NOT come with a case But I can use the plastic bag to keep it in if not using it, just to keep the white fabric clean. The inside of this modifier has a white fabric liner for bouncing light. It also has top and bottom flaps to open for direct light to come out if used as bouncing off the ceiling, almost works same as a white card for reflecting light forward. I rated this five stars. Very prompt in shipping service.

This modifier works pretty good. My only complaint is that I cannot use it on my Vivitar 285 flashes. So I spent $15 and got a similarly powered Sunpak. I have used this on Vivitar 2800s, 283s, and the Sunpak flash I have. It drops the flash about two stops and isn't great for distance use, as is the case with most flash modifiers. I use this with an L bracket to get the flash off the camera and to the side. I will often hand hold up up and left if I need more off camera effect.

Fits the flash just fine and adds such a nice soft light to portraits. Very useful for outdoor photo shoots when you don't want to drag around a light set up. Collected a little dirty on the front even though it's always put away in my camera bag but still works fine.

Exactly what I expected . . . And, yes, it did not come with instructions, so check the other review for information on how that extra Velcro/rubber strap works. Hint . . . Wrap the strap around your speedlight with the rubber side to the flash, then insert it into the softbox and the softbox Velcro and the Velcro around the flash will stick together and the softbox will stay attached to the strap and your flash. I gave it 5 stars even though there are no instructions and it's a bit of a pain to attach. It works well, diffuses the flash, folds so is easy to slip into my camera bags, is very portable, and was inexpensive. It's small, so you may want a larger softbox for some flash work, but I am very happy with it.

This mini softbox extends the usability of my strobes. The collar that fits onto your flash is of surprisingly good quality - and easily, snugly, securely fits over the flash head. The interior has a nice silver reflective surface to make the most of the light. Comes with handy, zippered pouch which will help protect this accessory really well. Great value for the money - especially compared to competitive, well known flash accessories.

These come in an envelope, and are flat. When you look at the package, (envelope) you can't imagine what it could be, and then you open it. You think, "wow this is really chintzy and cheap", and then you put it together (in 10 seconds) and think, "its not bad". Then you use it and you are hooked. Once you try one of these, you wont be without. For a few $ these solve every flash problem---harsh lighting, harsh shadows, red eye, small flash coverage, and many more. Its so ingenious and the fact that it folds flat is an even bigger benefit for storing and carrying in a bag/backpack/etc. The TRICK to get the most benefit from these is you MUST leave as much space between the flash (lens) and the front of this thing. The idea being to allow the light to fill the space between (flash/front) and then it "spills" out. If you put the front of this flush against the front of the flash, you will not get any benefit or will get limited benefit.

When I first received it, I wasn't overly pleased. They sit in their travel cases folded up in a way that means when you unfold it, the edges are crumpled in and it looks like the light from the flash won't actually reach the whole white area. However, with a little careful stretching and unfolding you can get the edges pretty straight, and when I took a photo of the flash going off behind this diffuser, it did indeed fill the whole white area with light as it's supposed to. The velcro strap also didn't feel tight enough, I was worried they would fall off. But after a number of uses in the field it actually has worked just fine and I'm very pleased. I'm sure there are higher quality products out there but this works great for me and for the price I think it deserves 5 stars. It makes macro shots way better! I would say get as big of one as you can. If you need diffused light then the bigger the better. I'm using 2 on a pair of off-camera flashes for a macro setup I have, and I bought the middle size (6x5 inches), and it's either just right or a little too small. If I only had one flash I'd definitely want the bigger one.

I love that this is lightweight and folds up -- I don't carry a large camera bag so I didn't want a lot of extra equipment that would necessitate me getting a larger bag or carrying a second one. I have a Canon 70D and this works great with my external flash when I want a softer effect. Such a simple device -- you don't need to get anything more expensive. This was recommended to me my a professional photographer and I'm so glad that I got one. It's especially nice when doing portraits because it softens the effects of the flash. Because it has velcro, it's adjustable will attach to many different flashes. It didn't loosen or fall off while I was using it, and I was using my camera freehand do I was moving around quite a bit. For the size and price, you really can't go wrong.

It fit very easily over my light. Had honestly felt need to use once (practicing). Much better than a bare on camera flash for SURE. Could do well for more review if I had more need for testing it. I had bought it when 1st purchasing camera gear and felt I needed EVERYTHING I could see that would fit what I owned. My fault/anxiety, but, does NOT take away from this product. Get one just in case you have indoor holiday pics and may want one. Sometimes I think I may have need for softer light and have no white wall to bounce flash off of. This little gadget might just be perfect for that.

Outstanding tool to prevent hot spots that are formed by the regular flash configuration! I highly recommend the softbox to any photographer. Check out the attached photo for an example of what a photo I shot looks like. The flash is aimed directly at the model from close range without creating any blown out areas.
