I bought this as a replacement for an almost identical Toro that was 15-20 years old. After I bought the original some ratings service rated this blower as one of the best on the market especially considering the price. I could have just bought the blower for about $20 less but I misplaced the vacuum bag and this packed contained the vacuum attachment as well. I believe the current price was about $20 less than I paid for my original purchase and the new one is almost identical. The only change that I noticed is that Toro has added an additional grip on the handle and replaced the male plug in the base for a corded plug in. My original went bad because of an internal short at the plug-in and perhaps this design change was aimed at preventing that from happening. There are lots of leaf blowers out there but this one has been on the market for a long time and still gets great reviews. Toro has a great reputation for producing high quality products at reasonable prices and this leaf blower is an outstanding example.

I waited to post a review after using it for one fall season. I do not suck the leaves,so I cannot comment on that functionality. I blow all leaves to a wild area in my backyard. PROs: - 2 speeds - Easy to maneuver - Works on wet leaves -- including large oak leaves that like to get stuck in the ground - Works on acorns and gumball seeds - I prefer plug-style vs battery or gas because the only thing needed is an extension cord and it will work. No maintenance. Negatives: - Extension cord storage - however I wrap it around the handle, and that works okay for a 50' cord.

This leaf blower/mulcher is awesome! I have used it several times since I purchased this. It works great and being it only cost around $50 I feel like I got a great deal. The blower works really well, and the mulching does good as well. One thing I find awkward about it is is how you have to hold it when it is in the mulching setting. You kind of have to hold it straight out in front of you and being I am not very tall, it is a little cumbersome, but gives you a good ab workout...(: I am glad I purchased it and hope to have it a long time!

I got the Toro 51618 Super Leaf Blower Vac to clean out leaves that blow into my garage when the door is open on a windy fall day. The unit works better than I expected. The wind stream is very high and it little blows out leaves and debris from all corners of the garage. Much easier and better than using a broom or leaf rake. The power cord attachment is clever and keeps the cord from pulling off. I use it with a 50 foot extension cord and it works great. It is light and easy to maneuver. I use it with ear muffs and safety glasses as it really kicks up debris and you want to keep this out of your eyes. It actually creates less dust than a broom as it works so quickly and I can blow everything out of the garage. it also comes with a vacuum attachment which I haven't tried yet. Another small attachment concentrates the air flow for a strong flow but I haven't had a need for this.

We just used this yesterday to clean up some leaves and clippings to clean up our lawn and am very pleased with our purchase! It has so much power. Much more than any blower/sucker I have ever had in the past. The one nozzle is a good size and can bring a lot of what I'm working on to go through the nozzle without any problems. The smaller nozzle I plan to use in tighter spaces. The bag does an awesome job collecting and chopping what is being brought through the machine to hold a lot more of what is being picked up than I ever thought it could. it empties easily and has a handle to hold the toro steady and straight into the area that one is working in. This is one of the best working, best designed and works like a charm! This is definitely one of my favorite lawn tools that I will use this year and just love it! I highly recommend this item if you want a brand that is true to the name! Best tool around!!

we got snow last fall before we got the leaves up. the weather has finally warmed up and the grass turned green. my husband said "just mow it that will get rid of the leaves" didn't work. anyway I looked at the leaf blowers, checked the reviews, and we discussed the matter and ordered. the thing got here a couple of days ago. I was on my way to get a cut and color so I chucked the box in middle of the living room and told bill it was here. when I came home it was put together. it must not be difficult to assemble because my husband is totally blind. only thing he missed was putting both big pieces of tubing on he just got one on I put the second piece on.. I took it out today. it works. adjust the bag strap so it hangs down at your hip but doesn't drag on the ground, it munched up the leaves and the little paper pinecones, it does not pick up small bits of tree tips that have snapped off in the wind which is good. I couldn't figure out how to get part that hooks on to the bag off when it needed emptying but i'm not real good with that sort of thing. a paper dust mask and earplugs would be in order. well worth the money. it really turned the leaves into tiny bits.

I've been using this for a long time. Essential for any yard upkeep. My old one wore out and this is the replacement. Versus the old one, the two speed switch has been moved from the body of the unit to the handle so it's very easy to switch speeds as I work which is nice. I find the two speed adequate to handle anything I do, so I wouldn't recommend spending significantly more for a totally variable speed drive. For first time buyers, remember to use full safety gear and keep people and objects (like parked car) away. The velocity on the blower is high enough to move even large rocks. Small ones can get sent flying at incredible speed. Even a chip off a cut branch can be plenty dangerous at that velocity. The mulching action on the vacuum reduces dried leaves to the consistency of flour. Be sure to wear a dust mask when emptying the bag into a trash bag. Also, the mulch has a density and weight that can tear apart flimsy 1 mil trash bags if you try to fill them to the top.

I regret not buying this earlier. I had a piddly little thing before that didn't have the vacuum and that destroyed my back as I bent over to optimize its ability to blow my detritus. No longer. With this, a previously half hour job is reduced to five minutes or less! Further, I'm not just blowing stuff around, I'm cleaning it up and dumping it post mulching, which conserves yard waste space. There's nothing I don't like about this blower.

I had a Toro blower that lasted about 20 years so when the plastic blower nozzle clip stopped holding the plastic blower nozzle, I knew I wanted another Toro... So glad I bought this one which includes a vacuum. Works Great! Was so much easier vacuuming leaves out of my flower beds than blowing then all into a large pile and picking them up by hand and dumping into the garden recycle container. The 2 motor settings is also really helpful than just 1 full blast blower-Great product!

The leaf blower is as expect, it works great. It's the vac that I love though. It made cleaning my gutters a breeze. But where I really felt awesome was cleaning the pine needles and small pine cones out of river rock. Kind of feels like you're an alien spaceship abducting everything in sight. It also worked wonders for getting the grass clippings and other trash that finds their way into your edging, if your edging is over an inch like mine is
