Before I purchased this two wheeler, I ordered a Dayton convertible two wheeler from a competing website (after this incident, I will probably never order from them again). The Dayton was about $60, and I became suspicious when I saw the same unit elsewhere for $452! I called the vendor and was assured that there was no mistake. What I actually got was a single replacement wheel! I eventually sorted out the error and got my money back. I mention this because some folk who purchased this Harper have complained about quality. If you intend to traverse multiple city blocks of uneven sidewalk with a couple hundred pounds loaded on one of these, you will be disappointed. I recommend the $452 Dayton for such use, knowing that just one wheel on the Dayton is more money than this entire Harper! That is, if you intend a commercial duty cycle, step up to a commercial hand truck. For household use, this thing is great! Quick, easy assembly, a very solid steel plate to lift heavy objects, a handle that is easily adjustable for three different heights as a two wheeler, and then upright as a four wheeler. I have stood on this thing in four wheel cart configuration (I weigh 240 lb), and no hint of sag. As a home user, I am confident it will serve my needs for a very long time. And, at only $37, I paid just a little more that an eight piece family meal (with drinks) at KFC. The value proposition is undeniable, If your expectations are realistic, you will not be disappointed. I absolutely am convinced that you will never find a better value hand truck! And, it is made in the USA!

I use this more than I thought I would. Mostly in the cart mode. The handle rattles a little bit because it is only held in place by two clips, but it is still pretty sturdy. UPS and FedEx drivers both have complemented on it and asked where they could get one. I'd buy it again. It's holds a lot of weight. My only complaint would be the bottom lip is too small to use it as a dolly for any large boxes. But works great as a cart.

We recently downsized into an apartment, and now must carry groceries through a parking garage, up an elevator, and to the end of the hall. This is a great, compact solution to reducing trips - we put it in the dolly configuration with a couple plastic tubs, and one trip typically gets everything from the car to the apartment. We store it in a hall closet, in the hand truck configuration, which takes very little space. Changing the configuration takes 30 seconds: remove two pins, reposition the handle, put the two pins in. The pins have fallen out a couple times, so we check and retrace our steps if needed; so far we haven't lost them.

Great dolly - very easy to assemble. Works great, sturdy, and easily adjustible. I thought I'd provide some pics of the product, as arrived, and the assembly process. In total, from opening the original packing, to being able to use it, took approximately 15 minutes. You'll need two wrenches (they really should have included two of those cheapo, "throw away" wrenches for the four bolts) and maybe needle-nose pliers for the two cotter pins, as well, for the two wheels, but that's it. I just moved a 250 lb. filing cabinet after assembling it, and it works great.

I had wanted a cart for a while and didn't want a heavy duty unit. Plus I wanted one my kids could handle/lift easily. This one seems to fit the bill. Decent capacity as a two wheel unit (for what I need it for). Put it together with a few basic hand tools. I did have to add a washer to the axle to create some space as a wheel was rubbing against one of the bolts that holds the lifting platform on. Also, reading a few of the other reviews some complained about what to do with the pins that hold the wheels (8 inch back wheels). They are cotter pins. Just take a pair of pliers and bend one end of the pin over.

I bought this dolly a few years ago and it has come in very handy several times. What pushed my over the edge to actually write a review about it is the fact that today I used this plastic dolly to move a 340 lb gun safe by myself. Granted, it was already in my house and it was all flat terrain, but still, super impressed with it. I will say, the rating for the 2 wheel configuration is only 300 lbs, so I can't recommend you do the same, but I will say that it did work for me.

Recently, I've started a business that required heavy lifting, and didn't want to use the manual labor. So, I bought this dolly to help out with my everyday uses and it has been a big help. I really like it's ability to switch from a cart to a dolly, very versatile and sturdy. Would definitely recommend to anyone that has a heavy workload and would like to have a little help with their job.

This "Dolly" "Hand Truck" whatever you prefer to call it, works great !! Switching it from a dolly to a lay-down style cart is absolutely easy as pie. I do recommend that if you plan on using this for anything besides hard surfaces like concrete or pavement that you purchase upgraded wheels/tires to the type that are inflatable. You can purchase them on Amazon for just a few bucks (approx. $10-$15).

I bought this product to move around book boxes room to room. I am happy with that. However, I recommend to revise the assembly instruction: 1. Put axle 2. attach base plate (bolt out to inside) 3. assemble tires. 4. tighten bolts and nuts. However, the current instruction is in the order of 2,1,3,4. The problem is that if you attach the base plate first, the axle is likely to be stuck. I had to disassemble base plate and put axle first. also...if there was no instruction, if you put the bolts in to out, there is a chance that nuts touch the tire.

Held 4 bags of 80lb concrete without any problem. Moved a stove from 2nd floor to a garage without any problem. As long as care is taken to not abuse it, this hand truck is incredible. I'm really happy with it. +The little steel bar near the big wheels works as a fantastic support handle when 2 people are needed to move something to lift or descend/ascend. So 2 people have good grip, which I'm happy about. Be safe though, you only have one good back!
