In December we somewhat randomly purchased one of these as a birthday gift for one of our kids who loves slushies. Five months later, it has become such a hot item at our house (2 parents and 3 kids) that we ordered 2 more. All three Zoku slush makers are used on a daily basis. While it does take some time for the drink that you pour inside to freeze thoroughly to make a nice slushy, I have never heard complaints about the time that it takes. It works really well and they love the result.

I especially love it for a nice relaxing adult beverage ( If you are a woman over 50, one serving of alcohol per day can benefit your body according to the American Dietetic Association)! My Fave: Add some premium tequila to a home made serving of a lime sour mix or a premix and pour in into your pre-frozen mug and stir!! No blender to clean, no watery slushy as you arent adding ice! You will need a bit of patience as you wait for the icey dream to thicken! Warm weather is approaching so this makes a perfect gift!! Your best bet is to order one for every member of your home, otherwise when you are craving your refreshment, your cup wont be available for use!!! I left it in the freezer for a few days (upright), took it out and added some cherry juice, and a few minutes later I had an awesome slushy. I'm not sure what the negative reviews are about. If you follow the directions and have a little patience, this works great.

Easy corn syrup free ice cream!

I recently discovered I have hypoglycemic-like reaction to corn syrup(especially the high fructose) It's been very difficult, I never knew how rampant corn syrup was in american food until I had this issue! I love ice cream, but the ones without corn syrup tend to be expensive, so I decided it was time to make my own! This little thing has been a dream. It's so easy to pop in a few ingredients and then stir occasionally while watching a youtube vid or something. It holds exactly 1 cup of everything, so the portions are small, sometimes I go for a refill! My only complaint is that it's very cold to clean, but if you work fast it's not so bad! And it's not difficult to clean, just a rinse with soap and then quickly wipe off the water before it freezes on! There's also a slight plastic taste to everything it makes, but that happens with nearly all plastic things, I have a sensitive tongue so others might not notice. I was too excited to look up recipes, so I've made my own, which I'll list here: 2 1/2 Tb sugar 2-3 drops vanilla extract Optional: 2 tsp cocoa powder if you want chocolate(it'll mix in as it freezes) Or half a banana(it'll mash as you stir the frozen milk) Then fill with milk to the lip of the cup!

This works just like it says it does. You have to stir a lot at the beginning but in no time juice, soda, anything you put in it freezes into a slushy. I put leftover coffee in it. Just be sure to freeze for the suggested amount of time.

Dude, slushee freaking everything! My only "complaint" I guess, per say, is that I wish it was larger. I personally would love to see one that does... like a liters worth of slushification all at once. steps to use: 1.) freeze the damn thing.. duh 2.) pour in beverage 3.) wait 8 mins ish and stir and scrape the sides of container with included slushee thing... 4.) enjoy! 5.) reuse until no longer viable for slushification. 6.) Handwash and dry 7.) REPEAT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a liter of cola version haha

Works great!

I was skeptical after reading mixed reviews of this but decided to take the plunge anyway. I bought it for my son for his birthday. It actually does work! Just like it says it will. Now, it will not look quite like the Mr. Slushy machine slushes but close and tasty! My son absolutely loves it and I'm pleased that it works. Just make sure you follow the easy directions for washing and storing and you will have no trouble!

I bought this for my 7 year old as a reward for doing so well in school. He wanted a "slushy maker", but the one he picked had bad reviews so I found this one instead. Well, he loves it! The best part is it's so simple he's able to do the entire process himself, which he loves to do. He turns everything into slushies now, lol. Great product, at a great price.

I have made ice cream with chocolate milk, slushies with kool-aide, frozen yogurt, etc. I find it best to store upside down in freezer so any drips of water from washing will empty while freezing. takes refrigerator cold ingredients about 5 minutes to start freezing, 10 or more for room temp ingredients.
