I just got mine so this is a new item review. I bought it as a back up for my catit flower fountain even tho my pump still works perfectly. My cat loves his fountain so I wanted to have 1 on hand in case anything ever happened to original pump so I wouldn't have to wait for 1 to b shipped. He won't drink out of bowls anymore so having to wait for a new 1 would b a nightmare. Any1 looking to use this pump for the same purpose, b aware, the plug doesn't disconnect like the stock 1 does & u won't b able to run cord thru the contraption made to stow cord. I just kept that cord cover part off of fountain when doing my test run of new pump. That part is against wall anyway & cord is not any extra trouble vs the orig way. U can take a pc of good tape & tape cord in the indent if u want. Body/base of fountain still sturdy without cord cover on but some ppl may prefer finding a pump with a cord that unplugs & fits thru hole at bottom of cord cover. Again, I just wanted to try this 1 to see if it works as a future replacement for original pump if needed. I figured I'd switch back to original pump at my wkly cleaning . This new pump is actually quieter than the pump that came with fountain. Perhaps that's enuf of a plus to make up for cord not being removable from adapter portion. It's actually just a regular 2 prong plug at the end like a lamp or many other small electronics have vs the rounded, more bulky plug that original features. It is just right as far as flow height in fountain. It isn't less or more than original. There's a knob to adjust flow but mine doesn't seem to turn when I try. Perhaps there's a trick to it but I didn't fuss with it since it's fine right out of the box at default setting. My main concern was just making sure it worked for this fountain so I can't say the knob doesn't work, I didn't spend really any time on that feature. Most importantly ppl, I see an overwhelming amt. of negative feedback on pumps & items that use pumps & I find its imperative to offer this p.s.a. to help reduce bad reviews & unnecessary negative feedback. Pumps do require cleaning as well as whatever they r in (fountains, fish tanks etc). For example, I clean my fountain wkly as well as basic outer pump & reachable area cleaning & rinse filter very well. Also maintaining water level so pump never runs dry is essential. At least once Monthly or as needed for your particular use, pump should b disassembled (there r quick, helpful youtube vids showing u how to do) & cleaned thoroughly inside & out. It's actually very easy. My 2 pc bottle/straw brush set I got from Walmart ($2-$3) & a paper towel will get the job done easily. I use dawn dish soap just like when cleaning fountain which I use same exact tools for & rinse well once clean. This may differ for fish tanks. I believe a fish safe & specific cleaner is what's recommended in that case. Even if u r good about cleaning fountain & using clean filters & cleaning outside of pump & accessible ports, slime will build up inside where u can't access it without taking pump apart. It's only a few pcs & is not complicated at all & it is the difference between ppl who say their pump died within mos. or 1st yr & ppl who have pumps that run for yrs without problems. It is also how u continue providing safe, clean drinking water for pets in water fountains or fish alive & healthy in their aquatic homes (along with other important fish life tips obviously that can b found online). Do not use harsh chemicals to clean pumps or fountains that pets drink from or live in. This is common sense to many but u'd b surprised at the stuff ppl use without thinking & wonder why things malfunction or pets get sick or worse. I read 1 comment trashing a fountain & pump after he neglected proper upkeep & then used harsh solvent & melted the pump. Luckily it did melt b4 his poor pet tried to drink from it as they would've pd the price for this guy's stupidity. I hope this helps. This is a nice quiet pump. It's only been in my fountain a few days & I will b going back to using original which came with my fountain cuz again, it still works great, but I'm happy to know that If it dies someday, I will have this 1 ready at home for instant replacement so my cat doesn't have to go without his beloved fountain for longer than the 10 min or less it takes to clean & rinse everything thoroughly every wk.

VicTsing® 80 GPH Submersible Pump Aquarium Fish Tank Powerhead Fountain Water Hydroponic

We have been looking for a nice small submersible pump for a small water garden feature that my wife wanted to create. I found this pump on Amazon and it seems to fit the bill nicely. I included two pictures of what my wife is trying to create (it's not yet complete). She has the flow rate of the pump turned down very low (she said it could go lower). Hopefully from the pictures you can get a sense of how low the flow rate can go for such a small water feature. We are pleased with this pump so far, but have had it running for only a few hours now.

Love this pump. I use it to circulate water through my Pico 3 gal tank and its sufficient especially because it is adjustable! Pump is very small and doesn't take up much space in my tank. In addition this pump is very quiet as well! My corals and fish have been thriving since I have added it.

It pumps. Very slow.. And very steady.. It's exactly what I needed ! Using it to move the water for an Essential Oil Extractor.

So, I decided to build a water fountain for indoor humidity in winter plus the soothing sound of water and nice visual. Only the water pump in our cat waterer finally gasped its last gasp the day that this arrived. Due to miscommunication, neither I nor my wife ordered a replacement pump even though we knew it was about to die on us. When I opened the box I immediately noticed that this pump *might* work to fix the cat waterer. So I gave it a try. It could use an o-ring to tighten up the fit a little but the riser tube dropped right in, actually easier than the Petsafe pump. Within 2 minutes of removing the old pump this was running in its place, and moves probably 30% more water, too. So I still don't have a fountain but the cats are happy with their water supply. Win.

I was skeptical when the pump arrived, as it was so tiny (fits in my palm). However, it w has worked just fine to power my garden fountain.

Pump is as advertised and timely delivered. I use this in a fountain that my nearly blind dog uses for water (the noise helps her find it), so when the old one went out I needed a new one ASAP. VicTsing delivered.

I bought this submersible water pump for a fountain I keep on my porch. It waters my cats. The fountain will hold about a gallon of water, maybe a gallon and a half at most. I was surprised when I opened the package and seen that this product was as small as it was. I was afraid it wasn't going to do the job I needed it too. I was WRONG. It has a tremendous output of power. It's lightweight and fits in your hand. Which I needed it to do because the space where it needs to fit is small, yet deep. It's also pretty quiet, no loud humming or buzzing. You only hear the sound of the water flowing. I usually can get about two years of use from my other pumps, if I dry them and wrap them up in the winter months. We'll see if this one will last long. I live in Texas so my fountain stays on from Spring to the end of November.

It's an update to the review. I changed it from 1 star to 5 stars. I used the pump for my cat-it drinking fountain. A lot of reviews said it fits the system. Actually, It was NOT fitted well. I made some adjustment to make it worked. The noise level was much louder than the original pump. A while later, the first pump dead in 3 months. Before I knew there is a warranty, I trashed it. I bought another new cat drinking system. After I left a one-star review, customer service contacted me. Asking me if I'm willing to give them to fix the issue. They sent me another pump for free. I got it 2 days ago, and it worked well. Good customer service and warranty.
