Solid and easy!!! I'm pregnant and this really wasn't hard to construct as the unit just fit together and the directions were clear. May people complained it's shorter than expected, but it seems perfect to me ( I'm 5'8"). In fact the bedskirt barely touches the floor! I am completely satisfied.

Solid As a Rock

Previous to purchasing this, I tried a couple local bedding stores. When they see a 6'5" guy come in asking for a frame, it's like a free-for-all feeding frenzy. I got the same treatment in both places - oh, with your height you're ABSOLUTELY going to need the "super-extra strength-deluxe-buttressed-whatever-blah-blah frame" which started at about three hundred dollars, which is absolutely ridiculous. This is a great value. It arrived in a very manageable box via UPS, packed with care and function. The directions were easy to follow - no tools required. I don't have a headboard, but they even included the screws and wing-nuts for those who do. As I stated, I am a larger -than-average guy and I wondered about that. However,It could not be any sturdier, especially with the middle brace. I love the way the posts are inset - no more stubbed toes! Less sailor-mouth. This is a well-made frame and a great value.

Style and Strength

This is the second Zinus bed frame that I have purchased. I've been satisfied with both of them. This bed frame in particular is labeled full-queen-king-cal. king, but I used it for a queen bed. A box spring must be used with this bed frame as it has only three cross-supports. Assembly was quick. I put it together alone, and it took me about a half hour. The directions are simple, and there are only 3 large pieces. The legs flip down from the large pieces and bolts are used to hold everything in place. There's no guesswork, and there's no balancing while screwing. I have hardwood floors and I feel that the legs stay in place and provide a strong foundation. As for looks, the frame is mostly hidden. I don't have a bed skirt on the bed right now, but that would hide it even more if you choose. If you want an understated bed frame, this is it. It's not the star of the show, but it still has style and strength. I would totally buy this again, and from the two bed frames (different styles and sizes) that I've gotten from Zinus, I do recommend this company. I loved their prices and I love their products.

Moral of the story, buy a good bed frame...

So we spent months researching for the perfect mattress, waited patiently for the best price on the mattresses we wanted to try, spent hours at multiple stores laying on different mattresses praying we didn't pick up some disease along the way until finally... We pulled the trigger and bought a mattress! The next day it is delivered and we are ecstatic, ready to get a good night's sleep in our newly punched bed. We hop in and are sorely disappointed to find that we are still sloping in on top of one another in the middle of the bed. What gives? We got a new box spring to go with our new mattress. We should be sleeping like babies on a cloud ☁. Wrong. Our frame was warped from being passed down through multiple family members so the cross bars are kinda bowed in the middle. So begins the hunt for a frame to take our new mattress from disappointing to heavenly. After a little research I settled on the frame I am reviewing here. I liked the price and for the most part it got great reviews. It is important to note I wanted a quiet frame for... Adult activities 😉. This frame exceeded my expectations. It only took 30 min start to finish to set up. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. I am a visual learner so the pictures were quite helpful. Initially I was a little leary due to how light the pieces were but I'm pleased with how strong it is. It comes compactly folded which will be great for our next move. There are 3 main parts plus easy to use screws washers and an Alan wrench. The best part is how supportive the frame is. The bed was totally level (yes I checked with a level), after it was assembled and the box spring and mattress were put on. No more sloping or hole in the middle! My husband and I can sleep comfortably apart or together without feeling like we're sleeping on a cliff. Last note, it is definitely quiet ;). Even with the headboard attached.

Fat couples--this is your frame!

My husband and I are not dainty people. When we got our king size bed I forgot a screw in the center and we found ourselves rolling to the middle of the bed within the first week when the frame bent. We went back to where we got the bed and got a new frame which I more carefully put together. We still ended up in the middle of the bed within a week or two. At that point it was too embarrassing to go back to the store and ask for another frame so we ended up with the box spring and mattress on the floor which I told myself I liked just fine. In the year or more that we were on the floor I bought two more bed frames, neither of which worked out (one because I lost pieces before I got it put together and another because it made the bed so uncomfortable that I took my bed off it after one night). This frame IS sturdy. We've been on it for at least a month and there is no sign of failure. It also doesn't slide around on my wood floor like I thought it would. Additionally, I have yet to stub my toe and have not had that complaint from anybody else in my house--this was my main concern after reading the reviews. Yes, I agree that the legs are right at the corners, but I'm not sure what those other people are doing walking with their feet under the bed.

Extremely sturdy!

For the price, this is an amazing bed frame! Pros: This bedframe is extremely sturdy. I wouldn't have thought this due to the price and the fact that the frame came in such a small package. I had my doubts about a frame that had that many joints as I would assume that adding smaller connecting pieces instead of single formed/cast longer rails would be stronger. However, if it is weaker, I can't notice. I was also a little scared because the legs (which don't have wheels) looked a little silly, they designed this so that the outside legs are tilted a little, I'm guess to lock it in place with gravity since they aren't welded at a right angle like expensive sets. Despite this, after a few months of use, this frame doesn't move at all! Jumping on the bed, making it, sleeping, nothing, it is solid. For the price, what more can you ask for then a solid bed frame that fits perfectly to our boxspring. Cons: This is minor due to price, but it doesn't have wheels. Put it where you want it, because with a king bed, you won't be moving it often.

Adjustable Steel Bed Frame

Super easy to put together and very sturdy support for my king size box spring and mattress. Also, the price can't be beat. One recommendation to any future purchasers: if you think you ever might want to move the bed after you've assembled it, place some furniture sliders under all of the legs before you put the box spring and mattress in place. It is impossible to move otherwise without taking the mattress off.

I must admit I didn't see all the complaints before I ordered this so I was nervous until it came. Due to prime membership it came in 2 days and was in perfect no scratches or malfunctions so far so good and super easy to put together. I felt like this would either be a hit or miss. Luckily hit! I suppose the good ratings out weighed the bad so odds are favorable! Im glad I took the gamble however I wish it didn't feel like a gamble...I guess often life feels that way regardless lol!

Extremely easy - tools included

These Were great, when the box arrived I was kinds questionable, but they are sturdy and setting them up was extremely easy, the tools are included all together it took about 5 minutes to put together. I purchased two of these to use for the foundation/framing of a king size bed.

Best bedframe I have seen for the money.

Best bedframe I have seen for the money. Comes in a smal easy to handle carton. Well packed. Well designed, easy to assemble. Instead of the standard cheapie steel frame I was familiar with, which uses full length side rails and folding cross supports with 4 legs, this one uses one cross bar at each end and a center bar with folding side rails Each bar has 3 legs, and the legs fold and bolt rigidly to the frame. All the pieces are permanently attached so all you have to do is unfold it and assemble according to the well thought out instructions. If you can, I would suggest laying the box spring on the floor upside down and laying the assmbled fram on top to adjust the width and tighten the adjusters down. You may also wish to put carpet sliders under the legs before you set the matress and spring on top as it is tough to move on carpet when fulled set up! The 9 legs offer ample support for heavy folk or liesure activities.
