The customer service was great! And the scale

When my scale came I noticed that the corner of the bowl was cracked. Probably that happened during the shipment. I called Etekcity customer service to report the issue. They asked me to send the proof of purchase via Amazon and a picture of the bowl and immediately I got a confirmation of the shipment of the new bowl. The customer service was great! And the scale: I love it!.. It measures even the liquids and very precise!!!! I recommend this scale to anyone who wants easy to use, clean and for accurate measuring.

Monitoring my Meals...helps me stay on track of my weight loss train!

I purchased this scale because I have been on a 1200 low glycemic index calorie diet. I am required to eat 90 grams of protein a day. I wanted to make sure that I am eating my required amount of protein. In addition, knowing the amount of ounces of fruit and veggies that I am consuming is a great for my calorie counting and nutritional needs. "Eyeballing" it, doesn't always work. The bowl that come with it, helps with weighing. In addition, being able to zero out the scale is also nice. The scale is very accurate. Best purchase that I have made for assisting me in my weight loss journey. I lost 15 pounds in one month. I also purchased the scale that was recommended. The scale comes with a measuring tape, which is a plus. Sometimes in the weight loss process, we lose inches and people discount that because they haven't lost pounds. Losing inches is healthy also. ADDITION: When I received the scale, if I remember correctly, there is an option to use kg or ounces.

5 years using this and it is still working which is good for how inexpensive it was

It's been 2.5 years using this and it is still working which is good for how inexpensive it was. Had to replace the batteries once. It is good enough. I would prefer having an option that displays fractions of pounds rather than pounds and ounces but I can live with that. I have used it to check weight of things I buy and have caught a couple of things off by 20%. I mainly use it to weigh pasta that probably helps with my weight. Also use it to make bread by weighing the ingredients.

A great buy and wonderful to use

I wish I had bought this a year ago when I started weighing my food (and over 5 months lost 25 pounds, cooking my usual made-from-scratch mostly Mediterranean and asian dishes with few alterations, mainly in the quantity of oil). When I decided I liked eating this way--making more conscious decisions--I eventually realized I could probably find a scale that was less cumbersome and more accurate than the one I had. This one is great. It has saved me a lot of time with my multi-ingredient recipes--no fiddling to readjust the scale back to zero with a knob that sticks or a needle that tells lies, and the bowl is a good size and very stable. It doesn't take up a lot of counter space and is very lightweight and I can use either grams or ounces (I prefer grams). When you turn it on with any bowl sitting on it, it reads zero right away. If you don't want to use their bowl, put the food or the empty bowl or plate you want right on the scale. If you want to change to a different bowl, put it there, push the button to get back to zero, and add the thing you want to weigh. All so easy! Read the weight limitations, though. It won't do to weigh your Thanksgiving turkey.

Don't know how I ever baked with it! Fantastic item

I bought this because I bake my own bread and I wanted to start doing my own sourdough bread which is a little tricky. I needed precision in my measurements of ingredients. This scale did the job for me I was able to start my own sourdough starter last week one I received it and I baked my first to loaves of sourdough French bread today. Then we're great. Anyone that bakes knows when your feeding a starter 3 times a day you want to measure it correctly and this worked beautifully. I was able to a.We out my weight after each addition so I didn't have to keep any running totals in my head. I could switch from oz to grams with a push of a button. Great product best investment I made in the kitchen this year. Love it!

Amazing little device for a really really good deal.

This is one of the best purchases I've ever made on Amazon. It is remarkably accurate, and the fact that it has multiple functions for water, milk, and solid food measurement is really cool. The removable bowl is really useful. I love that it's battery-powered because you can easily keep it/move it anywhere in the kitchen, which is useful when you're cooking and need multiple surfaces free. The size is wonderful, too. Doesn't take up a whole lot of space when you're using it, and it's really easy to store if you don't have counter space to dedicate to it. Definitely helps with portion sizes and accurate measurements while cooking! I measure things directly into their containers with the liquid function, if I can fit it inside the attached bowl, and that saves on dishes to clean AND on time! Lovely contraption.

Perfect little scale!

I purchased this scale after needing a way to monitor my cockatiel’s weight. I’d recommend it anyone else with pet birds as keeping track of their weight is vital. It performs perfectly and stores away neatly. This is an awesome multi purpose scale. If your a cook or need to weight smaller animals don’t pass this item up!

Love it!

I have always wanted a kitchen scale. I do some baking and often I will come across recipes that list quantities by weight, which I would have to try and figure out how to convert. This is always a tricky situation since baking is often about chemistry and I find accurate measurements to be important to ensure your product turns out. I bought this scale on either a lightning deal or deal of the day (I can't recall) but I have loved it! You can switch between preferred units, the little plastic "bowl" serves as a protective cover for the scale when turned over, and if you need to measure something that will not fit in the bowl it comes with, it is very simple of zero out the scale using another bowl. We will even use it when we buy bulk hamburger that we split up into one and 2 pound packages at home that we vacuum seal in our food-saver. My S.O. has a great time with it! Recommended!

Love, love, love this little kitchen scale! I just started ketogenic diet and need to make sure I am measuring appropriate portion sizes/weights. I looked through several reviews of many scales on Amazon before selecting this one. I had purchased two other scales in the past, but this one has a much larger bowl, and it measures both weight and volume (in conventional and metric systems). I am very pleased with this scale. Would definitely recommend!!

Not Just For Food!

I am using this scale to weigh our newborn puppies---how fun is that??? It's accurate and durable. But I think after a week we may grow it!!
