I feel bad for those that received a less than quality set. I bought my first set locally, and was impressed enough to order a second set from Amazon 2 years ago. They came in pristine condition. I do the handy work for several family members and friends. I keep 1 set in my front closet and the set in my car (I moved my old set from my car to my truck) so that I'm ready to make minor repairs wherever I am. I have numerous socket sets for working on cars, but rarely need them because the set does most things.

My dad got me this set about 12 years ago and it's been great! Over the years I have lost and/or misplaced a few of the peices and was looking for a new set when I found the exact same set still available. Got it again and now have a few extra sockets in most sizes and that is perfect. The socket construction is solid as it was 12 years ago when I got my first set. Thick walls and very clean accurate star patterns. The ratchets themselves are fantastic. Very little movement is required to hit the ratchet break and that helps when you do not have much room. The tools are well make and will last a few years. If your looking to find a set that will be a good starting point for your garage this is a great set. The wrenches are constructed fine but the size limits will leave you needing to grab a few more wrenches to give you a better set. The additional tools are made well and the organization case is a great way to keep everything in the right spot.

For the money, you'll have a hard time finding anything of this quality. These are not professional grade tools, but if you're a homeowner and just need a versatile collection of tools for household tasks, this is just what you're looking for. The only thing this kit is missing is a hammer, which is not a deal breaker. I purchased a kit like this 15 years ago, and it lasted me up until a few days ago, after the kids scattered most of the ratchet bits to the four winds. It's very handy having such a good collection of tools at my disposal.

While these tools aren't professional grade, they are above average and suitable for most day to day repairs. The case is acceptable and adequately secures the individual tools. My only drawback is that I wish the combination wrenches went up to 3/4" to match with the sockets. Often times you need a combination wrench to hold the head while you use the ratchet and socket to remove the nut. Including a 1/2" ratchet and sockets may be overkill for the socket sizes. It's still a handy set to have along and keep in your vehicle.

this is the third set Ive bought. I keep one with every vehicle. Im no professional mechanic, so I cant just look at a bolt and know what size it is exactly, so I just drag my little tool suitcase under the truck with me. It has all your basic tools needed to get the job done. its thin enough to fit under the back seat of my truck. I bought 3 as they are so handy and portable. all 3 sets still have every tool they came with in perfect working order. I cant tell you how many times Ive saved someones bacon out in the woods or on the lake, because they didnt have the simplest of tools and were hours away from any known mechanic. a true fun crasher

Honestly, this is an awesome set of tools. If you enjoy doing minor/major fixes for your car, bike, and a million other things around the house, this really is fantastic. I've had this tool set since 2016 and it's still going strong. I've fixed everything from kitchen sinks to camera tripods and even the occasional ikea whatever. None of the screw drivers have been stripped and all the wrench hardware still functions like new. The only down side is that it's a bit heavy but hell, it's a 170-piece set. If it's not a bit chunky, something is CLEARLY not right. Can't recommend this enough.

Outstanding tool set. It has a excellent variety of sockets, tools and wrenches. Seriously...for the amount it sells it gives the maximum and beyond bang bang for your dollars. The tool box looks smaller in the picture, but in reality is large and full of excellence. A++

This is about the best all around tool kit of its type I've ever used. I've bought two for use on small work boats, the first a few years ago. The tools are good quality and the case, while a bit flimsy feeling is very good at keeping the tools in their places. This version of the case is a little better than the other I bought, the handle of which broke off. This handle will not break off. Most everything needed for minor to moderate mechanic's jobs is included. Thin enough to fit under a car or truck seat easily. Highly recommended by this mechanic!

This is the second Crescent tool set like this I've purchased. The first one I bought at SAMs club about 10 years ago and it is still working well. This one is almost exactly the same and is of the same cost effective high quality. Over the years this set has been very helpful fixing many home and automotive problems. None of the tools have broken and it's saved a lot of time by having all the tool organized In their case ready to grab when you need them. They have also improved the case and it latches so that's good too. But it not perfect. After use you can still expect tools to fall out of their place. Also some tools like a hammer, knife tape measure and saw are still missing. But it's still the best deal I've seen.

This is the first toolset I've purchased since beginning to do carwork on my own. Very good starting point, has most of the essentials to get you started. Have used it while flushing power steering fluid, brake fluid, doing standard oil changes and brake + rotor replacements. The drive extensions have been lifesavers for those tough to get spots. No complaints about the quality of the tools themselves, and I have had this for almost a year. Do wish there were some adapters/converters for the 3/8" and 1/2" drives. No 14mm socket wih a 1'2" drive which happens to be the one I use the most for my car. Only real complaint is about the toolbox, the bottom two latches have broken off, but I guess that isnt a gripe about the tools themselves. . . Like I said, overall very nice. Good to get one started
