I bought this basket when my husband accidentally dropped my old basket off the top shelf of our closet and it shattered everywhere. I think he did it to get the masher. (joking). Anyway, my old basket was quite large and, in searching, this was the basket that was the closest in size to my old one. When I received it in the mail, I was not disappointed. It is such a beautiful sewing basket! I love all of the colors and detail on the outside and the handle is just gorgeous. Inside, it is ample size for all of my sewing supplies. There is a little plastic tray at the top for storing smaller items, which is just great for my smaller scissors and bobbins. I love this basket! This one is on my sewing table because it doesn't take up a lot of room and it's just so pretty to look at. I would definitely recommend this basket.

Great basket! It is large enough to carry my extra sewing feet, plenty of thread, buttons and several other sewing necessities. It also has a great pouch where I keep my small scissors, seam ripper, and pencil. There is a stacking organizer that sits at the top of the basket perfectly sized for bobbins and lots of other little items. I love the maniquin print and tape measure edging. Super cute. Love IT!

I think this is a great sewing basket! It is large enough for basic sewing items plus some extra items. It looks very nice and the handle adds character. I am very happy I purchased this one- I've looked at several and found this to be exactly what I wanted. I would definitely suggest this item for anyone looking for an adorable sewing basket.

Great basket: looks as pictured and is a much nicer alternative to the zip-top bags I was previously keeping my supplies in! I do wonder why the manufacturer couldn't make the plastic tray fractionally wider -- it has a sort of outer flange or lip that allows it to rest in the top part of the space, but it's a narrow lip and therefore is easily upset. One shouldn't have to be so careful lifting and replacing that tray: a bit of a design flaw, in my opinion. But apart from the relative insecurity of the tray, it's a great basket and I certainly would recommend it.

I was looking for an attractive sewing basket with a lid to corral my embroidery, cross-stitch, and applique projects. I'm happy to say this one is perfect! When it arrived, I was surprised at its size; happily so. It is quite a bit larger than I imagined it would be, even though the product measurements are given. I must be scale-impaired! Contained in this basket, my sewing is much lovelier to look at than a jumble of materials stacked wherever I am working, which is usually by the sofa, in front of a good film. It's safer too, keeping needles and pins away from Boone, my little dog, who must always be curled up next to me and for some unknown reason has to sniff everything, I guess to make sure he isn't missing out on something edible. I'd panic if he got poked or heaven forbid, tried to eat a pin or needle! I also wanted something in which I could take my projects on car trips. Voila! Not a problem! There is a divided hard plastic tray that sits elevated above a spacious bottom compartment. The tray holds all the accoutrements needed for my hand sewing projects; various flosses, needles, embroidery scissors, and a small oval hoop. I'm currently working on embroidering tea towels and a single towel fits perfectly in the bottom of the basket. (In case you like to embroider, this is the pattern I'm embroidering now: Crabapple Hill Cottage Flowerpot Tea Towels Ptrn. Isn't it charming with a vintage appeal? I love all things Crabapple Hill!) The basket is constructed of what seems to be cardboard; approximately 1/4-inch thick. I love the fabric in which it's covered! (I'd really like to find some yardage to use on other things in my sewing room; curtains perhaps.) The colors are much sharper in person than is pictured. The green and pink dress-forms on a soft pink background are charming; lending a fun French flair. I suggest spraying it with a fabric-safe, water-proofing spray to aid in keeping it clean. This will enable wiping it down with a damp cloth to remove dust and the like, without marring the fabric. This has always worked for me in the past on other cloth items. It has all the details that the product description states; around the rim is a handy tape measure, a hinged lid is rayon-lined with a pin cushion, a button embellished snap closure, and a metal handle that folds down for easier storage. On the base, the black accent is made of plastic; resembling wrought iron. The bottom has four rubber or plastic (I'm not sure which) feet to keep it elevated from the floor. I have no qualms whatsoever in recommending this sweet sewing basket to anyone looking for something to suit needs similar to mine. If you love what you see on your screen, I think you'll love this basket in person!

I bought this for my mother to replace her old sewing box her parents had given her over 40 years ago. She said it was bittersweet but when she received this she just gushed and raved about it. She said it was larger then the one she had and she loved that. She said even after putting all of her items in she had room to spare. She also loved the pattern and metal handle. She said the sewing kit that came with was a joke but she didn't care since she had no need for it. I am super proud of this purchase. It definitely made my 63 year old mother smile!

I didn't get this for sewing. I got it to organize my gel nail supplies. And it's exactly what I needed! It is very similar to one my mother in law got me for sewing supplies, so I had hopes it would be similar enough that I could use it for this purpose. I wasn't disappointed. It's lightweight, Nicely made and it's functional!

I've never had my sewing items so organized. There's so much room in this basket. I even fit a smaller case that holds misc. buttons for art projects, and there's still room for more. The print and design is pretty; I display my basket...making for a great conversation piece. A few of my friends either purchased one after seeing mine, or are planning to. It is big, so refer to the dimensions before ordering it if space is a concern. I recommend it.

I'm so happy with this sewing basket! It's very well made and just so cute :) Plenty of room for all of my sewing accessories and the lift out tray is the perfect convenient touch. I also like the pin cushion that's attached to the lid along with the elasticized pockets. An excellent value! I highly recommend this adorable way to stash your sewing related goodies :)

This is a beautiful and well crafted sewing basket. I loved the vintage look of the fabric and the measuring tape trim. The handle is beautiful and easy to handle with the wood center. The interior is roomy and the top compartment holds a lot of sewing supplies. Beneath the top compartment is plenty of room for additional items. It is the perfect size for a sewing kit, it won't hold all of your sewing equipment, but it is nice for everyday needs. I would highly recommend this product.
