Box looks great, replaced old singles, had to cut floor out bigger, but it was will worth it.

I have other make floor receptacles in my home now but experience has proven them deficient in 2 ways, the item that is plugged in extends above the floor level and can be bumped and broken by furniture movement (this has happened.) Also, when entertaining we sometimes move furniture and leave the floor receptacles in the open. Though fairly well-made of machined brass, the cover plates have to be covered with their supplied silver-dollar-sized threaded inserts when not in use. These inserts are a real hassle to install/remove and we are perpetually misplacing them. Also, dirt and crumbs seem to gravitate to the plug. Comes now the Hubbell floor receptacle. First it's a duplex, accommodating 2 plugs. Next the receptacle itself is sunk deep and protects the plug below floor level. The heavy-duty steel electrical box is screw-adjustable over a range of 3/4" to accommodate flooring height or height changes for remodel work down the road. Attached rubber inserts cover an unused cord paths to keep "Cheetos" from falling in. And lastly, the cover is attached with a hinge and a sprung bearing catch that means the cover is never lost and it closes reassuringly to protect the plug with only the cord rising from the provided opening. This floor receptacle is not the plastic junk that seems to be so abundant nowadays, it is built for commercial duty and will last for decades. I would thing nothing of a chair leg resting directly on top of the Hubbell. Looks great too.

Easy to install with easy to understand instructions. The product fit well and looks nice. I purchase two and both fit well. One is being used for my network port and the other is used for power. However, I did swap out the original outlet for an outlet twitch two USB ports. There is a slight fit issue. The outlet is slightly off center but both plugs work just fine.

Bought two of these and am pleased with the quality. They were a little smaller in diameter than the existing plastic ones the builder put in so I had to add a little underneath the lip so they were supported properly if someone step on them. They are solid and attractive. The fact that the plug is recessed is a huge advantage so you don't have the actual plug sticking up. We have dark wood floors with wide planks so the black really looks good, not very noticeable at all. The nickel color blends nicely with the grayish carpet, again the builder put in a cheap gold plastic one. Fast shipping with Amazon Prime, can't beat it! Good product.

I needed a cover plate for an inspection point in the floor so I only used the plate itself. When shopping for my my cover plate, I was immediately struck by how much they cost. I selected this one on price point first, and I liked the color as well. When it arrived, I was expecting a piece of junk based on how much cheaper it was than the others... this is NOT a piece of junk. It is solid and well made, the cover door hinges seem very sturdy and the hatch closes quite securely. I needed remove part of the attached electrical box setup so it would fit my needs, and I was unable to just snap it off - I needed a grinder to take the heads off the rivets. If you need a floor box, I cannot imagine you being disappointed by this unit, especially given its price point.

As described, does the job. I had it installed by a professional, no problems. You will have to use a screwdriver or something to open the cover, but what's plugged in I dont intend to move very often and with a toddler around it is best that he can't get into it anyway.

When complete this provides a professional looking in-floor outlet. Overall it took a bit longer to install and cut through the flooring along with some adjusting for the pieces that seems to stick out just a little bit more than the provided template. I do wish the holes for screwing it the floor were wider into the wood, but it seems like they will hold solidly without issue. The ability to put the plug down into the box where it is less prone to be kicked out is a HUGE plus on this design. Overall, it took a bit longer to install than expected. Having the proper jigsaw blades is essential depending on your installation case.

No complaints - recessed outlers so you can plug in a lamp etc and run cord flat under a rug. Added benefit is that the plug type is now a "decora" type so the plug can readily be changed to one that has built in USB socket to always have a phone or tablet charge cord plugged in without the transformer needed. The lid stays attached with little rubber grommets that can be cut to allow the cord to come out with a nice seal so no crumbs or debri can get in if under a table. Others don't have this feature. Solid heavy duty brass plate top is good quality. The hole needed is easy to cut because it is standard rectangle . Others require large round hole that may be harder to cut without special hole saw.

I bought 2 of these for my living room floor. Good design! Good instructions. I made a 0.5" thick routering template to use with Porter cable guide and a 0.25" spiral bit. Screwed the template to the underside of my floor and routered away. [I have a tidy 4' crawl space under the house.] Afterwards I saw I could have done it differently. The 4 corners of the required hole have ~1" radius. So my template (or just carefully marked centers) could have been for four 2" dia forstner bits or hole saw. But I have carpet above, so having to use some kind of saw to connect the dots isn't attractive in my case. After routering the holes, I laid a weighted board on the carpet above and used a sharp knive (Exacto) to cut the carpet from below. Good template, good outcome.
