I had to install 3 of these in the living room. I hate installing this kind of stuff, I was not looking forward to it. I used a card board that offsets from the window corner so the bracket position is consistent. It turned out easier than I thought. I assembled the curtain and everything on the ground and then hang it onto brackets that was already installed on both sides. There is enough "flexibility" to do so. Some of the rods spins on a bit crooked, but use that to my advantage to correct the geometry. It's light weight and the curtain slides smoothly. I stand back and it look level, even if my bracket was not really plumb it seems to look ok! I opted not to use the middle bracket and it did not sag with just the outside brackets. I can imagine it adds a little more work to make sure all 3 is in the same plane. But installing with 2 side brackets is very easy. The black out shape on the side is quite nice, it does block out the light on the side and when I leave the curtain at the side, it stays nicely on the side of the window without needing a tie.

Very easy to install - first timer installing a curtain rod and first time using stud finder/power drill and I was able to do it quite easily. If you’re on the fence of maximizing it to 40” +, I suggest you go with the longer size that comes with an additional bracket for the center.

Very nice looking, good quality, and easy to install. I read a lot of reviews before deciding on this curtain rod. I love how sleek it is and there's not bulky rod end sticking out. It looks lovely with the new curtain I bought for my bathroom. I had trouble finding a good curtain, but this one was easy! The smallest setting fits my bathroom window well. It was super easy to install. I just attached one of the slides on one side, then used the rod with the other end attached (you can screw off both ends) and drew a line right at the bottom of the right slide. Then just screw the slide into the wall, put the curtain on the rod and slide the bracket onto the slide! It took me about 10 minutes to install. I'm very happy with the quality and the appearance. :)

These look great! Very minimalist and look like they just grow out of the wall just for your curtains. The mounting system is fantastic as well, so you don't have to hold up the whole mounting bracket to screw anything into the wall, just those tiny little metal plates. Can't recommend this enough if it's your style. I've had them about 6 months with some black out curtains and they are just perfect for my partner who sleeps during the day (night shift). You can slide the curtains all the way to the wall so the most amount of light is blocked out. Perfection and helps my bedroom stay extremely dark, even during the brightest of days.

This rod is fantastic. It's sturdy, and doesn't bend under heavy room darkening curtains. I had heavy, velvet, absolute zero blackout curtains, and it stayed put. However, you do need a drill to install it, which is problematic if A. you don't have a drill and B. you live in an apartment where you can't drill into the wall. Also, I feel I should mention something-- the way the rod is shaped, it creates about a 2 to 3 inch gap between the rod and the wall, so unless you have something to drape on top or stuff the gap, light leaks out the top of the curtains onto the ceiling. Please take this into consideration before you buy.

I got this to hang some blackout curtains in my bedroom. I choose this curtain rod because of other reviews saying it didn't bend/bow under the weight of heavy curtains. I can confirm this! It's thinner than I expected, but sturdy. Doesn't bend or move at all, so I'm pleased! The rod looks nice as well. It's subtle, and it's hardly visible once mounted with curtains on it. The way it wraps around to the wall is excellent for blocking light from the all sides.. I would recommend purchasing different anchors. The rod comes with plastic wall anchors. These DO NOT work well. I found EZ-anchors at Home Depot and those worked very well. To mount, I measured spots a few inches up and to the sides of the window, marked spots for the anchors, and then screwed everything in. The rod comes with a middle support piece, but I didn't use it or need it.

I bought the 48-88" rod and the 28-48" rod for a 68" and 38" window. Both sizes were perfect for the windows they were intended for. I also bought silver grommet style curtains and I'm very happy how they look together. My husband and I love the way they are attached to the wall. A metal plate is attached to the wall and the rod slides onto that. I'm from the day of pinch pleated shears, drapes and valances and I love the simplicity of these new rods/curtains. Something to be aware of... to place drapes you unscrew the rod from the side pieces. Not hard just different than curtain rods that rest on a bracket. And no light shows from the sides if you tuck the curtain around the back like suggested in instructions. Rods arrived on time and in excellent condition.

I thought this was a beautiful Drapery Rod but unfortunately it was not the color of metal that I was expecting. It looks charcoal or almost black in the picture and when it arrived, it was a shiny silver color and that would not go in the room I wanted it for. I was very impressed with the style of the design of the rod and am disappointed that it did not go with the room. I recommend this lovely rod to everyone that needs something in this style and color. Thanks Umbra and Amazon. REVIEW #2 I had to return the first Rod we ordered because the color was not what I needed and so I RE ORDERED it in Auburn Bronze and it arrived in a swift manner and today put it up and it looks so lovely with my paint colors and my new draperies !! I am so very happy that I was able to find it in the extra wide with for my patio door and also that I got the beautiful color I needed. Thanks so much to Amazon and all the wonderful places to shop. I recommend this beautiful rod to everyone. It is fashionable, easy to hand and looks wonderful !!!!!

I use this curtain rod with my white blackout curtains with large nickel eyelets. I love it. The ends of the curtain wrap nicely to the wall to keep out extra light. Installation was a breeze. The attachment studs bolt to the wall with the included screws and anchors. The ends of the rod then slip over those. It's very stylish.

I bought two of these (Nickel) to go with two Navy Blue blackout curtains ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IHYZE2O ). Easy to install, though most of the plastic wall sinks appeared to be defects and one literally was a solid piece of plastic. A good 60% of the time there's going to be something in any screw kit that's defective, so I just took a piece of plywood and cut it to the size of the wall bracket, and mounted both of those with 2.5" drywall screws -- solved that problem and they're not going anywhere. So far no bending or sagging due to the weight of the curtain; I do wish there was a middle resting bracket that these could just sit on for further support but I've not noticed anything so far.
