Finally got a decent little BBQ. Well built, easy to assemble, worked great first time out. I turned it on and it heated up to 500 degrees within 15 minutes. I also found a great thermometer to poke in from the side and it's great too. I have been looking for this type of BBQ I could use at home and on the road and this is it. I definitely recommend this unit.

Perfect for the given size and prize- and you get a Weber-quality product! Grilling had never been that easy! (And I was a big charcoal-grilling fan!!) Some minor cons: - only one zone- so not perfect for spare-ribs. - I would invest some money for the thermostat, if you want temperature control. - Cleaning of the lower part is a little bit a pain, I use a plastic spatula, which works, but the engraving is not that easy. - The gas-connector is a little closer to the handle, so you have to push it a little sideways when fixing it- It's even a little bit in the way when carrying the griller. - When the grate its removed and the lid is open (for cleaning) it is a little bit out of balance and can fall over.

We downsized to an apartment that has a small porch, and still wanted to be able to grill. This has worked out great. Big enough to grill a lot for two or a single meal for 4. Small enough that it fits on a small end table, and easily stores underneath it or in the kitchen pantry. We use the little camping propane canisters to keep things really small. We don't travel with it, but it would be fantastic as a tailgating grill. It is very light, most of the weight is well spent in the grill racks. I really like the porcelain coated cast iron. On our old charcoal grill (which we miss but do not have room to safely use) we loved the cast iron racks, and I was unsure about what the porcelain coating would be like. Definitely lower maintenance. I like it. This is my first gas grill in a long time, I am more used to charcoal. It does not get super hot, but hot enough. I don't think it would work for some of the open-lid high temp searing that I could do with the charcoal grill, but if I keep the lid closed it works for everything I have asked of it. It can take about 10 minutes to get up to temp. Q1000 vs Q1200 We were looking at the Q1000 and Q1200 models, and decided the Q1000 was a better bet for us. The three main differences that I could see were the fold out shelves, slight extra lid height, and thermometer on the Q1200 for $30 extra. I saw the Q1200 in a store and thought the shelves were so flimsy as to just be in the way. I would probably just take them off. The extra height seemed unnecessary, and if anything I thought would waste heat. And the thermometer..... well I really don't know what to think of thermometers that come on cheap grills. So we saved the $30 getting the Q1000, and then for $16 I bought the "Bayou Classic Grill Thermometer" https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VEG5SS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Bigger, much easier to read, and well reviewed. Plus, I was able to mount it down low closer to the grill surface. With a cordless drill it took 10 minutes to install. Drill a hole bolt it on... that simple. Testing it in boiling water is was within 2 degrees of accurate.

Great little grill - my second (the first lasted about 8 years before giving up the ghost). Easy to unpack and assemble (about 5 minutes). Hooked up the propane via hose/adapter, and the grill fired up without issues. Hope for many years service. Totally satisfied for a one-person household. The grill surface will accommodate either a large steak, two nice-sized pork chops or a couple chicken breasts. Easy to keep clean. Highly recommend. The Weber cart is a must; the grill "locks" onto it nicely without fear of it slipping off.

I love this grill, it's perfect if you are cooking for up to four people. Weber is great quality and this grill is no exception. This grill will use either type of the disposable gas canisters (a nice thing if you want to take it to the beach), but I bought an optional hose to hook it up to a standard refillable tank too. You can also buy a folding cart, but I already had a suitable cart. The best part is the super high quality Porcelain enamelled cast iron cooking grates, and it's in two pieces so it fits in your sink, awesome! With only one stainless steel burner at 8500 BTU, I was concerned whether or not I would be able to properly burn my steak, no problem, but you do want to follow directions and preheat for 10-15 min. it's perfect. I was on the fence, whether I was going to pop for an infrared grille or this one, but the clean up and the reported malfunctions on the infrared grille reviews scared me off. I am very happy with my purchase, and as time passes I know any needed replacement parts will be available.

I mainly use this at home but occasionally bring it on the road with me. You can easily cook a ton of burgers or pounds of chicken on this. I do not see the need for those giant grills anymore unless you are frequently cooking for 10 or more people. Everyone that uses this little thing is blown away, but I was not surprised as I know the quality of Weber products. At the campground it is great, heats up quickly and cooks to perfection. And being small in size, it is really a saver on propane. Small tanks last a long time, I have been using the same big standard size tank with an adapter for about 2 years now. I have no complaints about this little guy. Next up is building my own stand for it.

I've had my Weber Q for five years now; it's the first grill I've ever had....with it I've learned how to grill burgers, steaks, chicken, corn-on-the-cob, and shish-ka-bobs! I've looked at bigger, more expensive Weber grills since then, but I just can't beat the versatility and simplicity of my Weber Q! It heats up quickly, cooks evenly, and is a snap to clean up. The best part, to me, is the portability..I can easily put it in my mini-van and set it up at my kids' sporting events or office parties...throw some brats and hot dogs on, and I'm the star of the party. I recommend getting a stand and a cover for it, and some sort of scraper. I bought a big propane tank and adapter for it, but found that it was a heck of a lot simpler just to keep using the little green camping-style mini-propane-tanks it's designed for.

great! has actual heat control. all the other ones I had for my RV use had terrible heat control. basically they were full power on and off. This one uses the cast grill for the main heat source which is a very good thing. I had no flame ups or burning of meat. You must pre-heat the grill to warm up the cast iron plates (about 5-10 minutes) for best results but from then on its very good . easy to clean the plates as they are enameled. fits very well in storage are in my RV in the depressed well area. Of importance is that the gas valve is not protruding out in danger of being damages. The cheaper units are really sticking out 6 inches or more. I was always afraid of putting anything close to grills in the stage area for fear of damaging the gas hookup.

Best grill ever! Cooks evenly, heats up quickly, and is super portable. Love it! We use it on our patio for everyday grilling and it's perfect for picnics and camping.

This is a great time saver! We always hated how long it took to get the coals ready when we are camping. When we get back from hiking or boating we don't typically want to wait an hour to get everything ready and cooked. With this BBQ we were able to start it up, get the food cooked and get on to partying! It got fairly dirty so I would suggest spraying some non-stick spray on the grill before using but for a few times a year it was perfect! The little grease catching pan on the bottom actually worked too!
