The cheapest therapy I've found for chronic nerve pain
This is the pinnacle of modern technology. Seriously, this may be one of the best things I have ever purchased. I have MS. The symptoms of MS vary widely person to person, but one of my specific issues is that my legs hurt a lot when I get cold. It's a nasty, burning pain, and one that I wouldn't wish on anyone, and it's particularly bad at night. On a recommendation from a friend who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, I looked for a heated mattress pad. I liked the idea of the mattress pad rather than an electric blanket, because I was concerned about getting tangled in cords while tossing and turning in bed. This mattress pad is fantastic. It keeps me warm at night, which makes me more comfortable. It also lets us save on heating costs by making our bed a nice little nest. There are several heat settings, allowing me to get the temperature just right. Best of all, there are dual controls, so I can get toasty without overheating my husband. So yes, get this! It's worth every penny (I know, I thought it was crazy to spend this much on a mattress pad until I tried it). Whether for health or just warmth, this will be your new BFF.

Best sleep ever! Amazingly comfortable! You don't feel the coils, works well, multiple easy heat settings!
This is one of the best purchases I have made for my sleep! We turn it on to make the bed toasty warm to climb into, and then lower it for steady heat throughout the night. Very helpful for aching joints, and you don't have the problem of rolling over into a "cold spot". We each get to adjust our own sides, which is important (plus for some it helps draw the line down the bed for "my side" vs "your side"), and it fits either a full or queen bed. The heating cords aren't noticeable at all, evenly distributed heat (except the top 4 inches under where the pillow goes). You can put it under a waterproof mattress pad to keep from having to wash it often (for those of you who eat/drink in bed). It doesn't have the problem of bunching like electric blankets do. Easy to see, easy to set, 10 hour auto-off timer is great. We have the controls attached to the bed posts, and it's easy to adjust it without having to wake up to think about it. The only down side is the twist function to adjust level of heat is a bit stiff and could use more of a rubbery grip.

Keeps me warm all night.
Thus far, this has kept me warm each and every night. I keep it at a level 3 when I'm sleeping. Before I go to bed, I crank it up to an 8 or 9, just to get my bed nice and cozy. Because I have this heated mattress pad, I do not have to run the furnace at night and I live in a very cold part of the country. I sleep straight through the night - I never wake up cold/uncomfortable. Only drawback ... my dogs also love it and they will burrow in to get warm. Just buy this thing - it'll keep you and your pets happy and warm.

My husband absolutely LOVES this heated mattress pad!
My husband and I live in Alaska, and the cold has started to get to him the last couple of years. Nine months ago I was checking out electric blankets on Amazon, looking for one to purchase with dual controls because I wasn't especially wanting an electric blanket on my side of the bed. I had no idea there was such a thing as a heated mattress pad and was thrilled when I came across this twin size one. We have a split king bed so this has worked out perfect! My husband absolutely LOVES it! Due to the location of the electrical outlets, in our bedroom, I positioned the pad with the cord at the head of the bed. I was worried that having it up there would bother him but he's told me he doesn't feel it at all. So even though it says to position the cord at the foot of the bed, either way works just fine.

These are great!
We love, love, love these mattress pads. We now have one on each of four beds in our home, and we have given them as gifts. There are certainly ones that are double the price, but I don't think you need to go that route. These work great. Perhaps it's a bit overboard, but I turn ours on High about an hour before bedtime. Even when the room is a comfortable temperature, there is nothing better than crawling into a toasty bed. We do however, turn our controls off or at least to the Low setting as soon as we get in bed. These do not feel like an electric blanket, which gives warmth on top of you. A heated mattress pad just feels different. For those who have had massages on a heated blanket, it's much the same. You get into bed and can't help but say, "Ahhh." Every night! We live in Maine and last winter, we did not turn our heat on in our bedroom the entire season. With a heated mattress pad and a down comforter, we have found we just didn't need it.

I Dont Use My Electric Blanket Anymore!
When I get in bed on a cold night the mattress and fitted sheet are cold and stay that way for up to half an hour. If I change positions it gets cold again. The heated mattress pad helps this problem oby warming up the mattress, the sheets and the blankets above it. Your body acts as one source of active heat and the heated mattress pad as a second source of active heat. Fabric can act as an insulator and retain heat. Air tends to take heat away from a warm surface. To eliminate air touching your skin, and provide a layer of insulation, you can wear thermal underwear (or gym sweats), knit ski caps, gloves and socks. Flannel sheets are far warmer than regular cotton sheets and eliminate that “jumping into an icy river” feeling when you first get into bed or change positions. The side of the fabric touching your body tends toward body temperature. The side of the fabric exposed to air tends toward ambient (room) temperature. Several blankets allow your skin to stay warmer, each layer providing more insulation. The benefit of a thermal mattress pad over an electric blanket it that hot air rises and any waste heat tends to heat up your sheets and blankets. The downside is that electric blankets tend to break wires and fail open circuit, that annoying blinking light and no heat. Since your weight is on the wires in a thermal mattress pad it will probably fails sooner than an electric blanket. Because hot air rises, the heated mattress pad works better than an electric blanket. I still have my electric blanket on my bed, but I never use it anymore.

Practical and amazing purchase!
I bought this mainly for my wife as she has been undergoing leukemia treatment and has times where she is really cold and has been colder than normal for quite sometime. Instead of me melting from the furnace this is an awesome way to keep her warm at night without affecting my side. We have had this mattress pad for about 4 months now and has held up great. We have a mastiff that likes to sleep with us and has held up wonderfully. I like the ability to turn my side on if I get cold or am in need of a heating pad.

Beats sending your partner to bed first to warm it up :)
Don't know how I used to live without it! Always thought it was weird to sleep on an electrical appliance... So, it was first my Mom who said she'd like to try one so I ordered it for her, and she loved it, and I still was in denial. A few weeks later Mom finally got desperate to convince me with words and just dragged me to her (preheated) bed for a test run (or lay in this case :) - and it was heavenly. 10 minutes later t I got one for myself as well. The heat is very pleasant, it's definitely not anything extreme even at the Hi setting. I end up turning it on Hi to warm the bed up for at least half an hour, and then when I climb in I normally lower it to a 4 (which is about the same kind of warmth as when in bed I would roll to a spot my husband was just lying in - a human-body warm, not an electrical-appliance warm :) It's winter time here in Seattle now (ok, no snow, but rainy and in the low to mid-forties), and we have cut off the heat to our bedroom and are sleeping with the window half-open... Have I said 'Heavenly!' yet?

It not only feels good and warm but it allowed me to sleep all night without back pain.
I was unsure how this would work. I've only had the electric blankets. I have so much faith in the sunbeam company I thought I'd try it. Its incredible. I have sever injuries to my back and neck and it helps ease those ache and pains. It didn't even cross my mind that it would help that. I can only say thank you to the company for making it easier to sleep all night without those pains.

Don't go cheap, spend a little more and get this one.
I needed a heated mattress pad because I have foot pain and blankets put too much weight on them. I used it for the first time and I am very pleased with the comfort of the pad given that there are wires running through it. It heated up very quickly and I had even heat on both sides. There is plenty of adjustment across the range of heat settings. I woke up after having slept well and noticed less stiffness and pain in my back. This is a medium priced heating pad that provides good value and function. I chose this over the cheaper model because of need for comfort. I use wood heat so this heating pad fills in the gap for cold mornings when the fire has gone cold. I am very pleased with my purchase.
