As a school counselor, I am always looking for toys to keep in my office with some therapeutic value. I have found that the younger students really do gravitate towards the building blocks. I find that allowing them to use the blocks while we talk really helps the process. I also use the building blocks for a listening/communicating activity with my older student and they love it! Definitely a great buy!

These blocks are great! The quality is very nice and they have a very strong finish on them which is helpful since I bought them for my destructive son. I love that they come in a drawstring bag inside of a tub, this makes it easy to keep them all together. They also are just a beautiful toy you can leave out in the open and not distract too much from the decor of your home (unlike the ugly bright orange plastic toys he has). Also, I bought this for my one year old son who puts everything in his mouth. I know other reviews warned of a choking hazard but only a few pieces could he actually fit in his mouth, and its easy enough to pull those out and save them for when he gets older. The majority of the blocks are too large to place entirely in a child's mouth. The great thing about the blocks being a tad smaller is that a one year old can hold them in his tiny chubby hands, The rectangular block is about the size of our Apple TV remote.

I don't have any kids. I spray painted some of the pieces stone-gray so they look like giant blocks or walls for dungeons and dragons miniatures. Works great!

I feel compelled to write a review given the negative remarks about the pieces being too small. I have a 4 year old and a 6 year old, and the pieces are sized just right. i have always found that over-sized blocks tend to "dumb down" the learning process, since the granularity of what you can build and manipulate with them are severely limited. If your child has reached an age of understanding what's edible and what isn't, and is at the point of developing dexterity and fine-motor skills (mine did at the age of 3), then these are perfect. My girls mix these up with Lego Friends figurines to occupy the couches and beds under construction :) See photo.

I like these because of the size, perfect for little toddlers. We don't have too much room for toys, so that was another reason I got these. I think one of them was cracked and we just threw it out, but no big deal...the set comes with 100 blocks, right? My little one loves them and plays with them all of the time. The container they come in is pretty sturdy and inside that, the blocks come in a fabric bag (I just threw out the little bag and saved the container for something else).

My kids love these! There are lots of block choices and they can built whatever they want. There are many very small blocks so you probably would want to take them out if your small children like to put toys in their mouth, but if your kids are older there shouldn't be a problem. Comes in a sturdy tube container and also includes a fabric bag.

I currently teach third grade and try to keep a lot of educational games in my classroom for indoor recess during the winter months when it is too cold to go outside. When I first brought this set into my classroom, the kids started fighting over who got to play with it first. Now, I have to keep a sign out sheet so everyone gets a fair chance to play with it. They love showing me what they created, and I am amazed by their imaginations. I highly recommend for any parent or classroom teacher.

Grandchildren loved them, 1, 4, 5, and 6 years old. Had hours of fun at Thanksgiving. My husband, a retired teacher, purchased three buckets full so there were plenty to go around. The kids didn't ask to watch TV or play video games. They were satisfied with the blocks, Lincoln Logs and bucket of army men my husband purchased. Oh, and bouncing on grandmas bed.

Awesome regular old school wooden blocks with new shapes. Comes with a fold out paper teaching kids how to build different things like a back-hoe and cho cho train and a few more. I have the colored version of these blocks I bout 8 years ago for my daughter and we still have those that have held up and the colors all 8 years. So happy to add the natural wood ones to our color collection. I know we will have them for many years to come!

These are great building blocks! Many reviews stated how small they are, I don't find that to be true. They are a perfect size for kids of most ages. These were purchased as a gift for a three year old little girl who absolutely loved them! We caught her five year old sister and even my 11 year old daughter playing with them. They are a good quality and come with the original container that you can store them in or they also come with a lime green canvas tote which we found works well to keep pieces from getting lost.
