I bought this for my Granddaughter's second birthday. She LOVED it!!! it is well made. and strong! Being a drummer/ Bassist myself,I would highly recommend this drum set to ANYONE starting out. I expect this to last her for for years!! Her older brother plays it as well!

Easy to assemble, great for a kid, and terrific avenging tool for grandparents ;-)

My husband and I bought this as a Christmas gift for our 3-year-old grandson. (Any difficulties my daughter presented as a teenager have now been more than avenged.*) We live in different states, so we had the drum kit shipped directly. Thus this review is based on reports from our daughter & SIL and video they provided. My SIL said that it took about an hour to assemble, presented no challenges, and it wasn't even a particularly focused hour. The kit is not something Buddy Rich would get excited about (of course, in his current state, there's not a lot that's wowing him), but it's sturdy, attractive, appropriately sized, and a great start for a young drummer. *We actually had the full support of said daughter & SIL--in fact, upon our request they picked it out & sent us the link. They seem quite happy with their choice.

Awesome set..real pro type set..worth the $$!!

Not just for kids!

I bought this as a 30th birthday present for my fiance, who plays sax primarily but clutters up our tiny apartment with every instrument under the sun. He loved it! We didn't have room for a full-size drum kit, so I got this for him instead. He has a fondness for weird instruments - he also has a plastic trombone and a ukelele bass - and a child's drum kit was right up his alley. Luckily he isn't insecure in his manhood, and likes the sparkly purple color. He sits on the tiny stool and looks like a giant, but gets the quality and types of sounds he wants; they are good enough for his recordings. He did have to make some adjustments - like putting a towel inside the big drum, and WD-40ing the pedal, and he bought a separate hi hat to go with it - but he's very pleased with the sound now. It was his favorite birthday present!

Fantastic!

This was a Christmas gift for my 3 year old daughter from Santa. She absolutely loves it. The quality is great and it was easy to put together. I was surprised it came in such a little box, but it was all there. Best part is that it came with sticks and a seat. Many other sets for more don't come with either. Also, the seat will grow with her.

Fat beats for this man child

Well this was probably the best 100 bucks i ever spent on amazon. I am a 30 year old man and this tiny drum set really brings it home. It even comes with a drum throne and some tiny drum sticks. I like to put on some 90's hip hop and play along on my tiny drum set. Wu-Tang is probably the best to play along with. This is a real drum set, not some plastic toy. The snare sounds pretty dang good. Kick drum is small and takes some time to get it tuned but overall it's a nice little package. Only thing that could make this kit better woulda been a hi-hat and a bigger/nicer crash/ride. I will probably upgrade those soon but for now I just tap the edge of the snare and pretend it's a hi hat.

I spent far more time than is warranted doing research on $70-$100ish kids drum sets and arrived on this purchase. I am happy and want to note a few things. Reading reviews of this drum kit there were a few issues / red flags that gave me pause. I made the purchase anyway and was pleasently surprised to see that Cecilio has evidently addressed some of the recurring issues. Don't know if every set but my assuaged concerns include: -Pedal Squeaking - There were several comments about a loud squeaking chain driven bass drum pedal. They appear to have corrected this by using a spring / tether system. No sqeaks now - No Instructions Included - I saw several comments that said the unit arrived with no instructions and you had to download a PDF from their site. There were instruction in my package and they were actually pretty good. Also the assembly is not that complicated. You build the base drum (shell, membrane, rims) the rest is pretty much done - Cheap / Breaking Hardware - This was not what I experience. Not exactly NASCAR quality alloy or anything but the hardware seemed pretty standard grade and I didn't have any issues tightning things down Thats it. Promise I'm not getting paid by Cecilio but I thought if you were shopping and came across the same concerns it would be helpful to know, that in the case of the unit I received at least, that these issues have been addressed.

Great looking first drum set

Super cute drum set for a young child. My son is too young to even sit on the stool yet, but he still plays it all the time. I'm a musician and my son was always trying play my full sized kit, so this is our decoy. For this price, you're getting a very fun toy that also creates a decent sound, if you tune it properly and perhaps make some tweaks. I found the cymbal made a fairly unpleasant racket (kind of like bashing on a sauce pan), so I replaced it with an 8" higher quality splash cymbal for $25. Obviously this is not a professional instrument so you must have realistic expectations, but it exceeded mine. The tom and snare sometimes don't stay securely in position, so you have to tighten their mounts from time to time. I found the kick drum sounded better with a small towel placed inside as a dampener.

It's a home run!

Got this for my 5 year old nephew. He'd talked about a drum set for a while so me and my mom decided to gift this to him for Christmas. Item arrived in a few days (not a very large box). Took maybe 15 minutes to assemble (one page sheet). Seems well-made. Not fancy but he loved it! Wasn't long before he and his sister were both fighting to play the drums. I'm glad me and grandma got them something different for the holidays.
