Exactly as advertised. Purchased this so we have additional cargo space. We have a 4Runner and when the 3rd row is up there’s very little trunk space. We already factory-installed cross beams, and this cargo bag was super easy to install. I read reviews about hearing the straps flap against the wind, so we knotted them down and had no noise issues. The bag itself is made of very sturdy material and held up fine when stuffed full. There was one day we drove around with it half empty & could definitely hear/feel the difference, but it still serves its purpose just fine. We were able to fit 3 large duffel bags and 2 full backpacks in this cargo bag, so it’s not the largest bag on the market, but it fit perfectly for what we needed. All in all, it’s a great bag. And we love that we can easily remove it when we don’t need it mounted above.

Great product

Reading negative reviews about product falling apart after minimal use definitely made me a bit hesitant to spend the money on this product, but I decided to trust the Thule name and spend the money and I'm glad I did. This is a great cargo bag! I recently purchased a new suv, Hyundai Tucson, which is quite a bit smaller than my previous suv. For a family beach trip, I knew there would not be enough cargo space for the family and all of our stuff, so figured a cargo bag would be necessary for the trip. I loved the built in straps that made it super easy to attach to my cross rails. I do not have side rails to attach any straps to but this bag easily attached to my cross rails and stayed in place for the duration of my ride (I debated using a ratchet strap across the bag and looping through rear windows but didn't and it definitely wasn't necessary). This bag was pretty aerodynamic as I didn't notice any difference in the ride when it was on the car. Not a huge bag, but perfect for a crossover or small suv. I had no problems with durability of the bag as I just got home and it's still in perfect condition (about 100 miles each way of the trip driving through a combination of neighborhood driving with stop and go traffic and highways, at times going 80 mph). There are definitely cheaper products on the market, but if you want a quality made product with built in straps that is extremely easy to attach to roof cross rails, I highly recommend this product.

Great Storage Bag

I've used this storage bag once, last summer. It worked great. Didn't experience any rainy weather, so am able to "rate" the water resistance, first hand; however, by the observing the quality of the construction of the storage bag, I would have no worries over it leaking, should I use it in rainy weather.

Took on a MN winter like a champ!

We were headed back home to IL from MN for the holiday. We knew we were going to need extra room with bring home gifts along with luggeage for a family of 5. All luggage fit beautifully for the trip down and ALL Christmas gifts fit perfectly for teh trip home. We drove home in a MASSIVE snow storm ( made the news) and wen we finally made it home to MN and unpacked everything was perefctly dry. This surpassed my expectations. What I also LOVE about this is that we let it dry out folded it up and stored it in our crawl space. No big plastic container to find a place to store. Looking forward to our next trip with it.
