I bought these because we were looking for lightweight duffle bags for simple travel. We tend to use use suit cases but we have become tired of the weight and storage of them. We take a lot of weekend trips that involve us bringing bedding/linens. They are large enough for us to pack a persons clothes, bedding, towels and etc. I can see how some reviews mentioned the zipper but with careful use I don't see us having any problems. I like that after use it packs and zips into its self for easy storage and that sold me more than anything. One dislike is that the bottom of the bag does not have a hard bottom so you have to keep this in mind during packing to make sure you put certain items in first. The material seems to be tough enough for how we plan on using them. I am not sure about airplane travel and handling. Bags bags seems to fit the stop for our use. We bought 2 ruffles and a backpack

Top Quality, Perfect Pockets & Zips Up to Nothing at All to Carry!

My title kind of says it all - I actually bought this duffle bag to carry my small Hoover vacuum and it's parts - I had measured the longest pipe piece that the widest part of the vacuum "box" and the dimensions of the Bago duffle bag were exactly what I needed. Little did I know that I would get this high-quality bag that I'd just assume use for traveling or most any other thing for which a bag comes in handy. There are pockets everywhere (that serve my vacuum part-storage QUITE well), it is lightweight and folds up into a tiny square and the material and actual manufacturing are obviously of extremely high quality. PLUS, Bago is genuinely concerned about my(your) satisfaction with their product from the get-go. They enclosed a card for me to register my bag (nothing too new there, right?), but upon registering, I am placed into automatic VIP status, sent a gift (I don't know what yet), received coupons for whenever (meaning no expiration date) it is I might want to purchase something from their surprisingly wide range of products and more. It is almost like joining a little "special" club of other like product lovers. You can take that part or not, but I happen to rather enjoy it - they give plenty of attention, but not too much. Fantastically versatile travel duffel!

Fantastic travel duffel!! I recently went on a Berlin-Copenhagen bike trip with my kids, renting bikes in Berlin and dropping them off in Copenhagen. We loaded the bike panniers with our essentials for the week long ride, each of us had a Bago travel duffel stuffed into our panniers ... so when we dropped the bikes off north of Copenhagen, we loaded the duffels with our things from the panniers and took the train to town. I actually had my Bago riding on the bike rack as I brought way too many things to fit in my panniers. We had several days of steady downpour and lashing winds and the bag, amazingly, kept the things inside dry! It was sort of a bonus as I didn't think the duffel was waterproof. After our ride, I loaded up my duffel with all my gear which came to 31 lbs. I wasn't very confident about using the straps fearing that the weight would rip the strap area. I instead slung the hand straps over my shoulders - thankful that it was long enough to do so, helped along by the fact that the middle part of the bag sagged to allow easier should loading. In two flights, I was able to store the bag in the overhead bin. The third flight I took I had to check the bag in ... and it survived without so much as a scratch. Best of all, I was able to fold the entire bag back into it's zipped up position! Great product!!

Best travel bag ever!

I love my bag! It's made of a tough ripstop material and it is both compact and yet expands to a massive full-size travel bag. Simply Awesome bag! Love the colors too!

Good bag for a big trip

I bought the large Bago Travel Duffel Bag almost at the last minute for my teenage daughter's adventure trip out to California - she needed something that could hold a sleeping bag, clothes, a hammock, bath towels, clothes, etc. for 2 weeks for camping at two locations, as a checked bag for her flight. I also needed something light enough she could carry on her own. She just got back and the bag held up. It was light enough for her to carry but also roomy for the things she needed to take. We did not use packing cubes but it wasn't a big problem for her to have items shifting around. If you like more structure in your bag and your items easier to find and access, I would recommend some type of packing cube system. The bag fabric had no rips or tears along seams or any other location, the zippers still function, and the straps are still good. With her two flights, she had a total of 3 layovers so her bag got tossed around by a lot of baggage handlers, not to mention the wilderness travel. Easy to wash to get the camp smell out and I don't worry about any interior material degrading like you see with some plastics of other duffel bags.

VALUE - where price and quality meet

I am always on the hunt for products with great value - price and quality. This bago duffel checks all the boxes. Plenty of storage room inside with a large shoe compartment and even side zip pockets for smaller or flat items. I used this duffel for a 4 day hunting trip to Mexico. I stuffed the bag with a large pair of hunting boots, sandals, full toiletry bag, underwear, socks, shorts, t shirts, 2 pairs of pants, 5 hunting shirts, hats, and I still had room for enough clothes for 2-3 more days (plus I had plenty of extra items that weren't used! All that and the bag conveniently folds up and stores in a flat, small package. This will be my go-to bag for future hunting trips and general travel needs. Candidly, the bag did not get tossed around in the belly of a plane and by baggage handlers as I flew private, but nonetheless the VALUE is there.

DREAM lightweight travel bag - cannot say enough great things!!

Never have I been so excited to write a product review - these duffle bags, along with packing cubes, far exceeded my expectations. I purchased 3 for a recent family trip to Alaska, where baggage weight was a critical component. These bags held up perfectly on a trip that included multiples flights (Checked baggage on round-trips from NYC to Anchorage via Seattle AND small plane flight from Anchorage into the wilderness) and car / taxi trips, including packing and repacking at each of 4 destinations. Construction is sturdy, zippers and seams are of high quality and handles are substantial enough for carrying fully packed bags (did not use the shoulder strap). The large duffel is LARGE: I was able to pack a ton of clothing, winter gear and everything needed for a 10-day trip...the size is perfect! And the packing cubes made the packing of these bags completely effortless. I've never used packing cubes in the past and I'm not sure how I could go without them for future trip, especially when traveling with 3 children. I have plenty of toiletry bags so did not purchase this item as "suggested" - but I have no doubt that it is great, too. Finally, this company included multiple heavy-weight plastic bags in various sizes with the shipment of each bag - and these were AMAZING! I used them for packing shoes, medicines and miscellaneous smaller items that benefitted from added storage...more durable than a standard ziploc bag, you will love having these! I would not hesitate to recommend these bags & packing cubes to anyone and urge and/all frequent travelers to purchase these bags, whether as your primary bag or a secondary "back up" bag. You will love!

Bago Travel Duffel Bag still looks great after being used close to a year, including a flight in which it had 41 lb inside!

I purchased this bag on Feb 1, 2016. I don't believe in writing reviews immediately when I haven't had time to adequately use the product (and for the record, I paid full price for the product). We first bought a Samsonite bag to use for traveling since Samsonite is a well known brand. However, since the bag didn't have a shoulder strap, it wasn't very useful for our purposes of carrying additional items when needed. This Bago has worked wonderfully for our purposes. It has probably used on 6 or more flights. On the last one it really came into its own. In the past couple of months, BA stopped checking luggage through to the final destination when one has made two separate flight reservations (originally we were going to drive the second stage of the journey). BA promptly informed us that we were going to have to pay close to $50 for each piece of checked luggage! We had three pieces, so I said we would combine them into two. I put a carry-on roller bag that was packed full of books inside the Bago and packed around the clothes in the Bago with the left over space on the sides and top. Everything arrived intact including the Bago - no damage from the carry-on bag with wheels that was placed inside. I was really impressed. I have also traveled with the Bago when it wasn't completely full and both the Bago Duffel Bag and the contents have arrived at the final destination intact. I really like that the Bago Duffel Bag folds up easily to a compact size that fits well in carry-on luggage without taking too much room.. This allows me to travel with hand luggage only (which I prefer) and then use the Bago if needed. The clip-on luggage strap is very handy as well. We always take it off and put it an outside pocket before we check the bag at the airport and then take it out when needed. On multiple occasions, I have adjusted the shoulder strap and put it over the telescoping handle of the carry-on roller - allowing me to roll the cabin luggage and Bago at the same time so that I don't have to carry the Bago over one shoulder (I am female and often travel without my husband who seems more willing to carry items in such a manner). I have used the Bago on trains, buses and flights. So if you are wondering whether or not this is a good purchase, I highly recommend this product.

I bought this bag because I needed an over night bag. I tend to pack extra of everything so this was the perfect size. I used it on an over night trip and loved it! a few weeks later I used it on my second over night trip as I was walking into my hotel the little black plastic piece that holds the long strap on broke into. I was so sad I loved this bag so i contacted the seller. I contacted them the night the strap broke. Not only did I hear back from them the very next day. They had already shipped me a replacement bag!! Talk about Awesome Customer service!!!! This company definitely wants your business and will do what it takes to make the customer happy.I am COMPLETELY SATISFIED with this bag and company. I will for sure purchase from them in the future.
