Plug n’ play
Running out of ports on the router I ran a CAT6 from the basement router to this switch in the living room and plugged in 2 NAS devices, a Blu-ray and a TV. Both NAS devices were accessible like before, IP addresses were the same too. While I have not collected any hard data, both devices seem to perform like before. I haven’t bothered to see what’s on the included CD.

Works great, easy setup!
I went to go plug in a new system to my router and I realized I was out of Ethernet connections, being a total non tech person I thought I had to get a new router. I did some online research and found out that the solutions was as easy as adding a switch— so I bought this one and hoped it was as easy as everyone said it was. Thank goodness it was. I didn’t know that I needed to purchase an Ethernet cord in order to connect it, so that was a bummer....but once I got the new Ethernet cord the rest of the set up was as easy as plugging in a few cords and I was up and running. Whew! Super simple and inexpensive fix to needing more Ethernet hookups.

Simple Switch
It's a switch. Not much to say. I plugged in some home made patch cables to distribute some cords down in our basement for various types of a/v gear and everything seems to be getting it's signals just fine. Plug and play. No hassles.

Just hooked it up and it worked
I have a ham radio station in my computer room and I needed a network switch that could handle a fair amount of radio frequency energy in the room and also handle several devices. This little switch hooked up instantly, required no hassle, and worked straight away. It handles the RF energy with no interference to my LAN signals. I Highly recommended. RJB.

Works great on 400+ foot long lan cables-still reaches 1gbps
Works great on 400+ foot long lan cables-still reaches 1gbps; Takes 10 seconds or so to initiate an uplink unlike the Trendnet Greens I was using which was instant, soon as it was plugged in. Power plugin is a little stiff and tight so its not nearly as easy and convenient to plug and unplug at will like the Trendnet Greens, would have been nice to have a button to turn it off quickly. Other than that I'd say its probably one of the best you can find for the money! Great little item, feels incredibly solid, with its all metal exterior, and feels very heavy for its size.

Quality at a reasonable cost
I had a Linksys 5 port gigabyte switcher already and it works perfectly...I also have several other Linksys products...So it was a foregone conclusion that I would choose this switcher when I required a switcher when I installed a Linksys Velop mesh system...So far, it is working flawlessly.

Fast and Easy
Easy to install. Just plug it in. ANd love having 1GB now. Version 2 does have all the lights and cable connections on one side and the power on the other. I just pointed the lights away from me.

Great Ethernet Hub For Small Network
This is a great little Ethernet hub. I have configured it to connect to cable modem and then a CAT6 to the main PC and others to WiFi routers. The WiFi is for other laptops and guests. The CAT6 connection give me 150Mbps down and 60 Mbps up whereas the WiFi is about 30 up and 30 down. We have 4 repeaters which may slow the WiFi. Have tried several WiFi units and no difference. This is inexpensive and works well.

Super Easy to Install
I just needed a few extra ethernet ports. Easy to install. Just plug in the power, and plug a ethernet cable from your router into an empty spot, and you're good to go. I could have gone cheaper, but I wanted to keep the same Linksys Brand as my router. It feels really sturdy, and it's metal. I like that the vent ports to get rid of heat are large, and run the whole length of the side. It has cuts on the bottom if you plan to hang it on the wall, and it has rubber feet if you just want to put it on a table. I'm happy with it so far.

straight forward switch
technically straight forward and works fine. speeds seem fine. for my purposes, would have preferred to have the power plug be on the same side as the ports to make it look a little less conspicuous in the house. ac adapter could stand to be a little more beefy at the connector side.
