SOOooo LOUD

this works amazingly and its extremely loud, i covered the speakers as recommended when testing it out and i though it was pretty loud and i thought the volume would be the same when i uncovered the speakers, but woooowww its blood wrenching loud.

Great high pitched sound

Great high pitched sound...its not easily set off when tucked away in my sportsbra as i run on trails....my new best friend..this and mace! You press the small button on front to set it off and small button on back to turn it off...its best to wear hearing buds when trying it out then take one out to really hear screech...pretty good stuff...the big button on front is just disguise to make it appear like a car remote...

Loud enough to attract attention. Great deterrent.

Bought three for my wife, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. They love the added sense of security. My granddaughter goes to college in The Bronx and now carries it in plain view on the train, subway and bus. I liked that it wasn't a two handed operation and all self contained. The button is slightly recessed and is not easy to push. I suggested they put a piece of tape over the button to prevent accidental arming. If the adrenaline starts pumping I'm sure the tape won't get in the way. Great product.

Great product!

Very loud, though, hopefully I'll never be in a position to use it. Be careful where you keep it, I had it in my purse at a birthday party and some kids ran into my purse. The alarm went on and it could be heard throughout the house.

Definitely Loud!

I purchased this personal alarm for my daughter, who will be a college student this fall. When she took it out of the package, I asked her to test it. At first, I was not impressed as the personal alarm didn’t sound that loud to me. When I commented to her about the sound quality, she said it didn’t sound very loud because she had folded it into the shirt she was wearing. When I asked her to take it out of her shirt, the sound was so loud that our two cats flew out of the room! Giving her this alarm will hopefully give her an added layer of security on campus. Although she has only had it for a few days, I am impressed with the product so far and will probably purchase one for myself in the near future.

Just what I wanted

This was exactly what I was looking for. The alarm is very easy to activate when desired, but it would be hard to activate accidentally. I tried it out and it's very loud. The button to turn it off was equally easy to access and push. I'm very please with the product.

I love that it has the covert off button thing going ...

Whooooo boy is this thing loud. I tested it for a fraction of a second just to make sure it works. It does. No doubt about that. I love that it has the covert off button thing going on in case someone else were to try to shut it off. I live in rough part of the city full of bars and drunk college/young guys and often have to walk around alone late at night. I clip it to a piece of my clothing (belt loop, usually) or to the lanyard I wear around my neck so it's readily accessible. With my mace in one hand and my finger on the button of this in the other, I feel a lot safer.

Loud

Accidentally dropped with my keys on brick and it went off; it was loud. It reminds me of car/window alarms. Although it did go off accidentally when I dropped it, it does not go off in my bag or pocket. It’s designed so the turn on/off buttons are not placed where you think it is (the big middle “button” is where the sound comes from) so if your attacker tries to turn it off, it’s not intuitive for them so it can buy you some time. I feel slightly safer carrying this with me. The added manual whistle is a good addition for when your battery runs out and you’re unaware. The appearance looks like a car fob so it’s not screaming “alarm” which is nice. Would recommend to others

The Best of the Best!!!

This device is so spectacular that as soon as the first one arrived, I ordered a second. Now I'm thinking of adding two more! It is well-made and lightweight. The personal alarm can be worn on a lanyard around the neck, attached to a handbag, kept in a pocket, or wherever you want it. The sound it emits will knock your socks off!! I wear mine when I take out the trash, go out for the mail, and when I go shopping. For years I had a personal alarm which connected to a service for a monthly charge. It connected through your mobile phone. Why have it at all if you need to have your phone with you?? I love this device so much! No monthly charge, and with me at all times. When you push the button on the front, the sound that begins would scare even an angel away!! Be proactive folks! Safety would be your #1 priority!

Excellent Alarm!

Man is this thing loud! The only issue I have is it is so easy to accidentally activate. I have scared the heck out of myself and a roomful of patients in my doctors waiting room a couple of times. I would have to say that even though I have not had to use it under real life circumstances that it will probably get you plenty of attention. I think that it is probably about as loud as my car alarm to give you an idea of how loud it is.
