• 3 Quiet, Energy-Efficient Speeds - allows this free standing pedestal fan to provide a cooling breeze around the home or home office. With a portable design, this fan is ideal for the bedroom, living room, or near your desk. Low, medium, and high speeds make this fan well suited around the whole house.
  • Adjustable Height & Tilt-back Head - give you the ability to direct the cooling breeze right where you need it. The fan's stand or pedestal, adjusts up or down changing the fan's height from 38 to 54.5 inch while the tilt-back head lets you aim the air towards the floor, ceiling, or anywhere in between.
  • Widespread Oscillation - describes the action of the fan head moving from side to side to blow air throughout the area. Oscillation allows for the fan to provide ventilation for a wide area. This makes the fan great for larger spaces.
  • Blue Plug Patented Safety Fuse Technology - this built-in safety feature places a fuse directly in the plug of the power cord. If the fuse detects a potentially hazardous electrical fault it will cut off electric current to the fan, preventing a potential safety hazard.
  • Simple No Tools Assembly - means you'll have your fan assembled in no time. Simply follow the included instructions to assemble the base mount to the extension pipe, fan blades and grill and you're done.

Excellent fan for the price. All the oscillating pedestal fans I have ever owned were Laskos, and none of them have let me down. This 18" fan moves plenty of air even on its low setting, but if you need gale-force wings in your home, the high setting can help you out. Of course, it will sound like a turboprop engine is next to your head, but you'll have plenty of air flow. (The low setting emits a totally forgivable hum, kind of nice if you like white noise while you sleep.) My fiancée used it daily over the summer (and I occasionally in the evenings) and we never had any issues. If it makes an excess of noise or the blade seems to shake during operation, you may just need to tighten the cap screw, as I did.

Powerful fan, even on low. I like the noise it makes to lull me to sleep. Just the right amount of noise. Oscillates without being jerky, as some fans are. I would buy again. Attractive design. It does not come with a remote, which is not important to me, since it sits right by the bed, to move air at night. If it had a remote, I would probably lose it anyway. We are currently keeping tracking of 7 remotes, 8 chargers for computers and phones, two iPhones, an iPad, two computers, 5 cats, among other things. I don't need an extra remote in my life at the moment, thank you very much.

Let me describe to you the situation. My house is a balmy ninety five with sweat pouring from my face, I have two fans aimed at me and the humidity is 100%. I'm dying, the vertical silly fans barely put a dent in the heat and I can only feel frustrated as I look on amazon for a new fan. I see this bugger and decide..what the hell? I have to keep the Lasko 18inch Cyclone running on the lowest settings during the hottest days because I GET TOO COLD. This thing obviously uses some sort of super space science magic in order to work so well. I have not once put it on the highest setting because it's too bloody good at it's job.

I am simply amazed by this Lasko pedestal fan! When I opened the box . I was at first a little disappointed to see that it was completely disassembled and all plastic except for the pole and motor. I thought to myself "How can this plastic fan be of any quality?" ... Well this first impression sure fooled me!! The assembly took all but a few minutes ... and when I turned it on ... the air output is EXTREME! But in a very good way! This has more output than those fancy $300 Dyson blade-less fans.I have A/C but during those Spring months where the temperatures are still a little unpredictable .. I use this beast to cool my rooms. I know some people complain about the loudness of the fan .. but this is pretty normal with any fan that has high speeds. I enjoy the sound of fans especially while I am sleeping since it drowns out other noises. The extension of the pole is very easy and there are NO rattling noises with this fan! The power cord is on the short side when you heighten the fan ... just throw a power extension cord on it. I will be looking out for other Lasko products!!

I have 3 of these fans with remote controls. While I seldom use the remote, the fans are well made, generally easy to assemble, and sturdy. No tools are required. However, it took me as much time to attach the front grill as it took me to assemble the rest of the fan. The grill is the last part in the assembly and it needs to stretch a teeny bit to snap on. Start from the top and work your way around, then go back over it again to make sure it's securely attached. Don't give up if it doesn't snap on all the way the first time. Keep trying (and cussing, if need be).

This isn't your grandma's wimpy little fan. This sucker moves some air! The top speed is quite nearly a wind tunnel...which is a good thing. It has two lower speeds if you don't care for the wind blown look after sitting in front of it. My bed is really high off the ground and I like to sleep with a fan. It is the perfect height in that it extends up above my mattress so the air hits me directly when I'm laying down. I've only had it a week, but I've had Lasko fans before. All good fans will eventually die, but I know it will last a few years before I need to replace it. If it doesn't, I'll be back to update this review. In terms of assembling, I recommend you read the directions and don't drink a glass of wine before diving in. Don't get me wrong...it isn't hard to assemble unless you're me. Had I read the directions first, I would have put the pole together correctly the first time. Again...it's easy, just read the directions about the pole before trying to assemble said pole.

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING SACRED AND THE CHILDREN, DON'T BUY THIS MONSTROSITY. I sleep with a fan on at night. I like the breeze. This thing has 3 settings. Windstorm, Gale, Tornado. I have an old Emerson from 70 years ago that puts out hella wind. I never thought I would find anything that could match it. Yeaaaah.... I turned this thing on high like my old one.... laid down, got blown out of the bed and across the floor. You were warned.

I was looking for a loud fan, odd request you may think but I like fan noise when I sleep. This thing does the job and on the lowest setting it is not overpoweringly loud but you know it is there. It is a lightweight piece and assembles easily. It was what I wanted and the price was nice. Now I did put a speed control on it that I had laying around and that did dial it back a bit, winter fan usage is not the best thing but it does circulate the warmer air. The lowest setting is more like a medium on some other fans so take this into account.

We live in an apartment that doesn't have central air and the living room does not have any windows to put in a window AC so we needed to get something cheap and efficient to not die of heat when in the living room/kitchen. I bought this fan after reading the positive reviews and it was one of the cheaper options. Arrived in a day and took about 5 minutes to put together and get it starting. It is VERY strong, we always leave it at speed 1 as speed 3 is just way too fast and blows all of our things everywhere. Overall, I am very pleased and would recommend to anyone needing a cheap fan.

I bought a similar one at Costco and it works just the same the only difference is the front grill is plastic which might be better anyways so it doesn't rust like a lot of other fans out there when you have high humidity. I purchase multiple fans on Amazon from $40 all the way to $200 I'd say this is probably one of the best for the price if not the best. I was reading through a lot of reviews before I bought this and it seem like there's a lot of sensitive people that hates loud fan noise, well if you use logic and want the powerful fan it will be a little loud. If you want to buy a quiet fan, buy a 16 inch, it will be a difference. I recently bought a best choice fan 16in it was very quiet but does not move the air I want for the hot summer days in San Diego so I returned it. This fan is very sturdy with easy functions with remote, and the quality of the plastic is actually pretty good for the price you definitely can't beat it, I can't find anything else bad about this so it well deserves a five-star.
