Works on 2007 Honda Pilot!
This fit my ex's 2007 Honda Pilot, although Amazon says it will not. Honda garage doesn't sell these switches. They told me I had to replace the entire module at about $90. Symptoms: driver map light would not turn on when opening the door, but did work fine with the switch. Research showed me that this odd problem is quite common with Hondas. And the solution was to change out the switch. So my choice was to pay $12 to test the theory, or spend $90 for a complete module. Next problem was to find a switch that worked in the 2007 Pilot. Although Amazon said they would not work, they appeared identical to the stock switch. I took the chance, and it worked perfectly. To change the switch, carefully pop the lens off using a small screwdriver or knife. Pop it off by pryng gently near the two "hinges". They will come off easily if pried off at the correct spot. Remove 4 screws, unplug the two electrical plugs (don't pull on the wires!). The entire assembly will drop right out. You will have to pop the module out of the housing at the 4 tabs. It comes out with little effort. Now, making sure you have the correct switch, using either a small blade screwdriver or knife, pry the switch sideways. It will feel like it won't move, then it will pop right out. The middle contact on the module tends to get corroded, so you might want to scrape the corrosion off gently. Don't bend the pins! Snap the switch fully in and install everything. DONE! Entire job will take less than a half hour. Other than the strain of working overhead, it is an easy job. And cheap.

ATTENTION: The web site indicates that this part will NOT fit a 2006 Accord, however, I just installed it and it fits and work perfectly. The only difference between this part and the original is that the original switch has a two-tone base, half black and half white. The switch fixed a problem with my 2006 Accord (LX) where the one MAP light would not come on when the doors were opened, even though the light worked when turned on manually!!

Work great, but check electrical contacts
These work well and the price is so low as to almost be free. If you have an interior light problem, these switches probably will help. However, be sure to check the condition of the metal contacts that slip into the holes on these switches - the middle contact tends to get corroded. You may need to partly disassemble your light fixture so that you can properly clean off the contacts before putting these new switches in place.

Works good. Hopefully lasts long time.
You know that feeling guys get when they perform a minor task and they expect a ticker tape parade when they walk back in the house? Well, I'm experiencing that right now. I diagnosed this problem, ordered the new switches, received them in one day, and switched out the switch in about 10 minutes. AND IT WORKS. My wife's reaction when I attempted to explain all the steps I went through to get her truck back in business: "Hmm. I'm trying to read this recipe so I can make my shopping list." Honestly, it wasn't a whole lot of trouble and her reaction was probably about the right level. But feel free to throw some shredded paper at me if we ever pass in an airport. These switches were exactly what I needed and installed easily.

Fits and works fine!
Fits and works perfect in my '07 Honda Pilot EX-L. I found it much easier to remove the entire overhead console from the the car by removing all 4 machine screws (2 under the courtesy/map light lens, and 2 under the sunglass holder). Remove the two wiring harness connectors from the backside and bring to workbench. Remove assembly from frame by using small screwdriver or knife to clear the 4 ear tabs (do this from the backside). Note when reinstalling, one of the two screws under the lens is for ground so that must be tight (but not over-tighten) for a good connection.

The replacement for my Dodge was to replace then entire upper console with compass and more. I put these on the bench, did a few ohm test to make sure they seemed the same (they do). I will say, they are much quieter. I put them into a 2004.5 Dodge Ram 3500.

Worked perfectly in my 06 Pilot
One of the map lights in my 06 Pilot wouldn't work - it wouldn't light up with the door open, and it didn't work to press the switch on. Replacing the bulb didn't work either - known working bulb in the other map light wouldn't work in this one. After reading on the Piloteers forum that this switch might be the culprit, I ordered this and followed the instructions I found online for removing the entire light assembly and replaced the switch. I replaced both of them, even though the other one was working, since I find it's usually a good idea to do it all at the same time rather than having to open it all back up again soon when/if the other one goes out. Put the map light assembly back in and everything was working perfectly. If you have decent DIY skills this isn't tough to do. Be sure to use plastic trim pry tools to remove the map light lenses and assembly to avoid scratching or breaking anything.

Fixed an annoying issue with intermittent map light
My left map light in my 2011 CR-V has been going on and off. I had replaced the bulb twice and realized it wasn't a bulb issue. tapping the plastic often brings it back on. Dealer wanted to replace the entire light assembly at a high cost, a quick online search revealed the switch itself is a likely culprit, and was proven true. The assembly is a bit tricky to disassemble but the process is pretty straight forward. took all of 10 minutes. Make sure you have a socket set handy, the stock screws are hard to loosen and will be easily stripped trying to remove via philips screwdriver.

Very easy 10 minute repair for my 2006 Honda Accord EXL dome lights
Easy repair for my 2006 Honda Accord EXL dome lights. Check out the helpful Youtube videos. My dome lights worked fine when manually turned on and off by pressing on the lens, but did not work when opening a door. My assumption was that these switches only operate the dome light when manually operated, which made me wonder if replacing the switches would work for me. There's 3 terminals on each switch so it must be a SPDT switch, placing the switch in the circuit for both manually operating the dome light and when operated by the door. I disagree with some on Youtube who do not disconnect the wiring harnesses from the dome lamp assembly in order to completely remove the assembly to install the switches. Yes, you could install the switches with the dome lamp assembly still connected, but you are unable to inspect the connections and ensure that the pins are lined up, so go ahead and remove the 2 easy to remove wiring harnesses.

Fixed the dome light unit on my 2007 Honda Accord
I purchased these switches because an issue I had with the dome light in my 2007 Honda Accord not coming on when I opened the door. The map lights worked when I pushed the button, but not when the door opened. I replaced the switches in the dome light, and now they come on when I open the door. So rather than having the dealer charge me a hundred bucks to replace the switches, I did it for $14. While you are replacing the switches, also replace the light bulbs even if they are working while you have the covers off.
