Way more than I thought

This was a lot of screen. I was looking for something I could make a screen out of for a small garage window. This was plenty enough to make it. To be honest, I don’t know what those string things and the roller thing is for but I didn’t need it (I don’t think). Anyways, I’m happy and now no bugs can’t get inside when I want to keep the windows open.

Screen shipped in rolled-up fashion - well done!!

I got this product in just a couple of days. The seller did a phenomenal job sending it so quickly. Screen was packaged appropriately - in rolled up fashion (as opposed to flat position, which causes bends and breaks). Screen was easy to cut to the length and width that I desired. I didn't need the spline or roller (will save it for another time). Instead, I cut out the dimension that I needed, then stapled it to the wooden windows. Worked great, so far. This screen will certainly keep out the insects for the upcoming spring and summer seasons. So, far, am well satisfied. Will see how the screen holds up in the coming months. Will update this in a couple of months, once I see how well it can stand up to wind and rain.

Worked well for me

I needed to replace 8 screen windows damaged from hail. Did some research on how to videos. My screens were approximately 31x30 so I first placed a order to see how well I could do. Was impressed what comes with the kit and the screen fabric appeared what I was looking for. When I finished the first 2 screens which is what this kit gave with some left over. I went ahead and ordered 3 more. On ce done screens look fantastic and was able to do it for far less than hiring it out. Now people have said that 2 screens are lighter in color which I can see now. Not sure I was shipped the sme color but doesnt take away really the final finish. The plastic spline the wheels have sharp edges nd if not careful will cut the screen when applying. Shipping was quick and well packaged. Will be buying again in the future.

Great product

Great option to replace your screen. I lived with holes in my screen door for years because I thought it would take hundreds to fix. Then someone told me I could just buy the mesh and 2 days later (thanks to prime) and about 45 minutes of work (thanks youtube) it was as good as new! No more flies in my house!

This is perfect - quick and cheap, don't use tape or patches to "repair" a screen.

Perfect kit to quickly replace a screen. I had a ripped screen to replace. Had the entire screen replaced and window back together and cleaned up in a little over 15 minutes. This is a super easy to use kit. Don't try taping or patching holes or rips in screens, just replace it. It's probably almost as quick and cheaper anyway.

Great Kit For Price

I had a couple of screens to replace for a friend and thought I'd try this kit. Very decent little kit for the price. I easily replaced four screen frames. They look great and I believe that this screen material will hold up fairly well. The spline roller wheels on the plastic spline tool do wear down, but you will easily get through your replacements or run out of screen before it becomes an issue. Again.... highly recommend and will buy again as I have two more screens to do and this will give me extra for any future frames that need done.

DIY is the way to go! EXCELLENT kit!

I am visiting my grandmothers house this week in NY (I live in NJ) and I noticed that her ancient bay window screens (aluminum) are torn a little and also have major discoloring. So I pulled up some screen repair services in the area to see what this type of service would cost. I also, searched on how to DIY on you tube... I felt ridiculous for even thinking about having someone come and replace the screens... because its really not a major project by the looks of the videos. I looked up screen replacement on Amazon and came across this kit, ordered it as well as a larger roll of pet screen for her backdoor that was worn in numerous places (same brand). The kit comes with screen, spline, and a spline roller as advertised. WOW! I did both the window and the door in about an hour (remember, I purchased the door screen separately because I wanted pet screen for that), the window took me 15 minutes and 5 of those were spent figuring out the metal spline removal without bending it too badly (YouTube again, super simple). The screen and tools included were very easy to work with. If you are able to hammer a nail and or use a drill, you CAN DO THIS... so simple. I cannot stop looking at the beautiful new screens every time I go by one of them, I am really proud of the job that I did.... and even more proud that I was able to do this for my 91 YO grandmother, she couldn't believe that her GRANDDAUGHTER was able "to do such a thing" lol ;) A great kit, has everything you will need! Watch some tutorials! PAY ATTENTION TO THE SIZE OF THE SCREEN INCLUDED, YOUR PROJECT MAY NEED ADDITIONAL SCREEN.

After reading some of the reviews I was concerned this would come folder and flat. It did not. I came with the screen rolled and a good quality and quantity spline. Also, the tool to insert (?) the spline and install the screen. Good quality and can't beat the price. The screen was pliable and easy to install. I've purchased these from the big box home stores and found them so brittle the immediately split while installing. This did not. Very happy with the price, quantity of material and quality.

easy to use for this first time DIYer! I had to replace 3 screens because of my dog jumping and tearing holes in them took me about and hour and a half. I'm sure it's quicker if you have done this before. If I can do it than so can you.

This is utterly easy to do

I bought this as it was perhaps the cheapest kit, by a $ or so, on amazon. Never done this before, but am fairly mechanically minded. The tool provided, as everyone says, is not the best quality - BUT IT'S PERFECTLY FINE for the task. The material and spline are warrantied for 5 years, and look identical the the 14 year old material they're replacing. The most difficult bit, after following an online video, was removing the old spline. I'll be buying a bulk kit to do the rest of my windows now. This is something everyone can do. If you have any doubt, as I did, buy this kit, and try. At $9, it's worth it just to see how easy it is. Thoroughly recommended.
