I was traveling several months back for some meetings so I wanted to be able to grab some coffee and take it into the meetings with me without having to resort to nasty tasting styrofoam cups. That being said The Hydro Flask is CLEARLY one of the best made flasks I've seen. In fact even with a cupboard full of "travel mugs" I could tell right off the hydro flask was different. One of the items I look for is how solid the lid "snaps shut" This flask clearly will prevent anything from spilling. Once I filled the flask with hot coffee I heading to work and that is where I had all the proof I will ever need on the usefulness of this flask. Sadly I could not drink the coffee for my early morning meeting due to the fact that it was still TOO HOT to drink. YEP my insulated flask was working too well that I had to wait for it to cool off. CRAZY but true. On the flip side I filled one of my HYDRO flasks with water to take out to the shed with me this winter and I left it there for several days. We have had TEMPS down to the mid twenties for several days. To my surprise My HYDRO FLASK still contained liquid water in it while everything else outside was frozen solid. You can TRUST that this flask will live up to the HYPE. Rugged, great looking colors to choose from, POSITIVE closure to prevent leakage and it WORKS like no other! WORTH EVERY PENNY because you wont need to buy another. Note: I had to pick up another because the wife kept stealing mine.

I love this water bottle!!! This is hands down one of the best buys I've ever had! The water bottle is made of stainless steal so it's super durable. I throw this thing around all the time whether its into my bag to go to the gym or when I'm outside hiking around with it. It's also very light so most of the weight that you carry with it is a result of the water. I also does an exceptional job of temperature regulation! I haven't used with hot liquids yet but as far as keeping cold liquids cold, there's nothing better than it! When I'm hiking around, the water will stay cool for the entire trip, even when hiking in the summer!! I know it's a bit expensive but it's hands down the best water bottle ever and you'll never need to buy another one because this thing works as advertised and will not break down! As a side note, I decided to switch the mouth cover. I decided to get the straw lid because I like the ease with which the sipping lid brings. So if you're looking to get a bottle bottle with that kind of top, you can buy this one and just buy the Hydro Flask Wide Mouth Straw Lid to get that function.

Initially I was searching for a "water bottle" that would keep my water cold in the summer while we are out and about. I was reading an article that listed some of the best of these and the Hydro Flask was listed. I decided to give it a try and am so very happy that I did. The first day that I used the flask I was a little disappointed that the ice seemed to melt a little faster than I thought it should. However, the water was just as cold as it was when I first put the ice in. The next morning I still had a little water left in my Hydro Flask so I thought I would see how cold it was...and it was still cold! I have now ran around everywhere with my Hydro Flask for two weeks and love it! I ended up purchasing the lid with straw for when I am running on the treadmill and love that as well. I love that I can purchase replacement or different lids for this product and it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg. Is this the cheapest product out there? No way. However, it appears to me that this is more of a case of "you get what you pay for" and if you are looking for a quality product that delivers....this is it! By the way, I had to order another one last night. Mine has become such a hit that my children have taken it over and drink all the water before I get the chance to. No way are they going to keep my Hydro Flask but now I know I can fill two of them up and keep one in the car and still have something to drink when my kids get done with it! I have not used this for hot products yet.

I use this bottle for iced coffee, I suppose it would work well for hot coffee too, but I don't like hot drinks so I've never tried it. There's nothing worse than when Iced coffee gets warm and the ice melts, so I got an insulated bottle. I've owned hydroflasks for years (mainly 32 and 40oz bottles) and this smaller bottle has the same positive thermal retention qualities as the other larger bottles. I haven't done a long term test on the thermal retention of this specific bottle/lid combo, but I don't think I need to. Unlike the larger bottles I own, I'm never going to use this to store liquids for a long period of time. Coffee goes in every morning, and then gets consumed within the first hour or two of my day. Every morning this gets two ice cubes, a splash of half and half, and then filled with pre-made cold brew coffee, then I go on about my day. I never have any coffee left after 10AM (2.5 hours after filing the bottle), and I've never had the ice melt in that period of time. I have a really hard decision whether to leave our or five star review, however, because of the lid. I've owned this lid before, and the other one I had, while it did make drinking easier, was pure garbage because it leaked and didn't retain temperature as well as a screw on lid. So far, the lid included with this bottle has not leaked, but it's only been about ten days, so I might come back and edit this review if it starts leaking.

I use this exclusively for water, and love it for that purpose. The wide mouth makes it easier to keep clean (I'm incredibly picky about the mildewy flavor my water gets when I let the bottle sit closed for too long), the bottle fits perfectly in my cup holder (and with an older car, this is not often the case), and the color is vibrant and is holding up great (I have the orange). I also love that the lid can go in the dishwasher if I feel the need to sanitize (like after I've been sick), and even though the bottle itself can't, I wouldn't expect that with stainless steel. My favorite part is the ability to keep my water cold - I've left this in a hot car all day in 100+ degree heat, and there was still ice at the end of the day. The only downside is that I will be getting the straw top to replace the lid it comes with, as I am not particularly talented at drinking out of this type of flip top lid without dribbling down my shirt. However, I full recognize that it's user error and won't hold that against the folks at Hydro Flask.

Better than expected! I have tried many other similar bottles and none lived up to the reviews or advertisements. I was skeptical that it would sweat and make a mess of my bag or desk. This isn't the case and the liquid stays cold and the ice doesn't melt for hours. I travel often and thus far no issues with the TSA (empty it of liquid and refill once through security). It is a good size, but I wish I bought the larger size since it works so well. I anticipated that it might not live up to its claims. It doesn't have a metal taste like other stainless steel bottles nor is it difficult to drink from when using the lid. The additional ring holder that appears as an ad that appears is needed to help carry it unless putting it in a bag for carrying. My only complaint is that in some vehicles (rental cars), the base is larger than some of the bottle holders (not in all cars and it might work fine in your vehicle). However, every other positive attribute outweighs this issue. I recommend this product if you want to reduce using plastic throw away bottles, keep drinks cold (and no doubt hot) without the container feeling cold or sweating. To give indication how long ice stays in the container, I ask for ice at the beginning of a flight and 1.5 hours later, the ice isn't melted.

This is my 3rd hydroflask (have the 40oz wide mouth and 21 oz narrow mouth) was looking for a smaller widemouth bottle (because the 40oz one feels like a load of bricks when its full of water). So while I love hydroflask and it's everything that you expect from a water bottle, this one in particular is too small, I like that it has a wide mouth but it's like 5 sips of water... will use this for coffee/tea. I also noticed that my ice melted so much more quicker with this smaller bottle, probably some law of physics that explains that but yea, can't wait until they make a 24 oz wide mouth.

Most of my family members in Hawaii have these in all sizes and colors. I love the wide mouth flip top and bought a whole bunch of these to give away for Christmas last year. We love them so much, we bought a bunch more for other family members and friends this Christmas, too. The logo is cute, but not too feminine, and the size options make it versatile for anyone. The best part is the quality, though. It seriously keeps your cold drinks cold - I'm talking your ice cubes are still solid 8 hours later, and it keeps your hot drinks piping hot for hours, too. I can't say enough about these. My husband takes it to work, I take mine everywhere I go, my kids take theirs to school and when they play sports... it's not your regular water bottle. It's a really good one. There are sales occasionally so take advantage when they come out!

I was very skeptical about this, but I read a review on a camping gear site and decided to try it out. This "flask" works exactly as advertised. I put one ice cube in it and fill it full of water and leave it in my car all day and it says cold. I'm in Texas and the inside of my car gets over 150+ on any given summer day. The only downside is I ordered Black. Love the black, but in the sunlight while on my boat at the lake the outside gets crazy hot. As in burn your hand hot. I ordered another white one for the boat. The white one stays cool in the sun and keeps my "beverage" nice and cold. Tip: Use very little ice otherwise you will have a full flask of ice that's not melting and you won't have anything to drink. I've since ordered several more in various sizes with various caps. Love them all.

Yep. I'm obsessed with this thing. A coworker of mine had the Zojirushi brand and was raving about it....so I was planning on buying that brand for someone as a gift until my husband gave me a new Hydro Flask mug about a week ago. So I've been obsessed with it this week and since it has been working so great I decided to get the Hydro Flask instead of the Zojirushi brand...the Hydro Flask didn't have as cute colors as the Zojirushi brand (it's for a female) but it's a little over $10 cheaper and holds more...holla! I've been using it for hot and cold. I had been drinking iced tea in it and once the tea ran out I left the ice in it to see how long it would last...the ice lasted over five hours with barely any melting...the only reason it didn't last longer is because I was going to bed and wanted to wash it to use for coffee in the morning. It definitely keeps the hot stuff hot! Whatever temperature of liquid you put in the thing...it will stay that way for at least several hours. Like I said, I'm obsessed...I work part-time and take it with me to work...the rest of the time I'm home with my kid and I use it at home too because...yep, I'm obsessed and spoiled now. Usually, I drink my coffee throughout the morning (don't tell my doctor, thanks.) since I get busy with my daughter or other things and by the time I go back for it, it's cold. I don't like heating it up in the microwave because it tastes different...but with the handy dandy Hydro Flask there's NO MO PROBLEMS! I don't even want to use regular coffee mugs now! Oh, and so far no problems with the lid. Mine didn't smell when I got it (like I guess others have had....which I am curious what exactly it smelled like?) anyway, I turn the mug upside down a couple times to mix my coffee and creamer and so far no leaking...but I haven't tried shaking it hard...not sure how it would hold up, but my guess is that it still wouldn't leak. Now I need to get the larger water bottle to take in the car during the summer when running errands and all to keep cold water!
