High Quality Product; Perfect for Induction
Wow, picking cookware for induction is a challenge. It seems a majority of the reviews are a bit vague and so few specifically say a product works well. Guess that's the challenge of moving to a newer technology.....for the US. Have to say I was a bit hestitant when I received the product and prepared to return them if need be. This cookware comes very well packed, is high quality, good weight and the dripless lip is really nice. The glass tops are good quality and well made. Some reviews mention a sound the pans make on induction. I have not experienced any sound; I'm using the new model Samsung Induction. Overall, this cookware set is a really high value for the price. There is nothing flimsy or cheap about this cookware. The heat distribution is excellent and the weight is perfect for induction. The heavier base assures that the metal has even contact with the cook top surface. It is fun to fill the small pot with cold water and watch it boil in less than a minute!! Very pleased with purchase

Been very happy so far (3 years and counting)
Been very happy so far. I decided to go with these, with some trepidation, after using All Clad and Calphalon in the past - the attraction was primarily the lower cost. They feel substantial and seem well constructed. I've had none of the problems mentioned in other reviews here at Amazon: lids fit well, no discoloration even after washing in the dishwasher. I also like the pasta basket, which I hadn't used before. I am following the manufacturer's advice and not using excessively high heat (my range is gas) to avoid damaging the pans. I plan to update this review if I encounter any unexpected problems in the future. Update: 3 years in and still no problems. Highly recommended.

My family has been using this awesome, durable
My family has been using this awesome, durable, cookware several times a day since purchasing it 2 1/2 years ago to go with our Bosch induction cooktop. It still looks good and performs well despite the regular abuse we put it through, especially the frying pans---yes, the metal on the bottom of the fryers is somewhat discolored, but that has been entirely our fault. As with all non-stick cookware you need to use adequate amounts of oil at the appropriate temp setting (start low, then go higher), especially if you are going to scramble eggs or stir fry chicken or steaks. After some practice, we found that you won't have any problem with sticking if you apply the oil correctly. We prefer rice bran oil, which handles high heat really well. The cookware always cleans up easily after a bit of soaking, even if you set the heat too high and burn your food (easily done with induction cooktops). Amazon's price is amazing for the quality of this set. All in all, we couldn't be happier with our purchase and wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

100% excellent!
So I bought this set after literally 2 weeks of investigating SS cookware, reading reviews, warranties, etc. I was hesitant to buy because I have been using a Wolfgang Puck set for over 15 years. It's still a very functional set and has held up well but I wanted new! Compared to Cuisinart, T-Fal, Cook's Choice, and others, this is superior. Anyway, the reviews on this set mention water spots, discoloration, sticking. Okay people, that is an EXPECTED outcome when you cook with SS. First of all, know how to clean it- with Bar Keeper's Friend, which is cheap and a little goes a long way! It will keep the SS shiny and like new! Also, if you run the pan under water while it is hot it will deglaze any leftover food making cleaning a snap! Second, the impact bonding is done VERY well...the cook is even and does not burn for me- no hotspots! Third (and the most important), this is not a non-stick set! SS cookware, unless you specifically buy with a non-stick interior, it is going to stick to some degree. BUT, you have to know how to cook with it and be a nimble chef who is aware of the needs of SS pots and pans. You can't crank up the heat and use butter. It will burn and so will the eggs. I use the organic canola oil spray or butter but I put it on a low heat and let it come up to temp. I have made fried eggs in these pans at least 4 times so far and I have no issue. If you use olive oil, it burns easy so that is another consideration. So, in the end, I am 100% happy with this set and I can tell you this is not a set for the weak! It's a heavy, well made in the USA set that is worth the $$.

Pros & Cons
I have had these pots and pans for a few days now and have used them every day since they arrived. I did notice after cooking the discoloration and white film on them that others had stated in their reviews. I then bought some Barkeepers soap and it took that film right off! These pots have a different way of using them in order for them to last and to keep food from sticking Tips: *heat pan up first then add oil, let heat up, then add food. This order is a must to keep food from sticking. But its better than chemicals from a nonstick pan that is flaking off. *use water in place of oils. Works just as good but wont make food crisp obviously. Pros: *pots and pans are of very good quality and will last me a long time. *no coatings to worry about leaking in my food *will heat with less eletricity since I dont need to use the highest setting to heat. *They are beautifull! Definitely the nicest pans I have ever owned. Cons: 1.) There is no lid for the skillet. This is my most used size and type of pan when cooking so this is very dissapointing. 2.) They are a bit on the heavy side. I have weak wrists so with the big pots that normally also are filled with water I have my husband move for me. Again my wrists are VERY weak. The smaller pans that I use more are just fine though. I would rather have a heavy pan that will last than a cheap one that will be thrown out in a few months. 3.) They scratch very easily on the interior of the pan from cooking. Just be sure you use the correct utensils and you will be fine. NO METAL FORKS OR SPOONS! *I will update if anything changes after more time* P.s. To the seller: If you make a lid for the skillets ever please let me know. I would love to have one. Thanks!

I agree with all the excellent reviews. Those with poor reviews are misinformed.
The most common complaint is that fried foods stick to the skillets. Of course it will, if you don't season them! Like cast iron, these stainless steel skillets must be seasoned prior to use to make them non-stick. Like magic: Pre-heat the skillet over medium heat for 2 minutes. Add enough oil to coat the bottom. Continue to heat for about 6 minutes until the oil smokes. Remove from heat and let cool completely. Pour out the oil and wipe with a paper towel. You now have a non stick pan. After use only wipe clean with a paper towel. Do not use soap and water. If you do, just re-season the pan. Use like any non-stick skillet: Maybe a light spray of PAM or a little bit of oil. Gloria K. Purchased from Amazon Prime

Completely Satisfied.
We have been trying out our new kitchen set for about a week now. We first tried it out on a gas stove top because we wanted to see the difference in how they perform on gas and on the Precision NuWave Induction Portable unit that we have. Our gas stove leaks which is why we are switching over. Who wants to breath in gas leak fumes. Besides, the guy who came to fix it, couldn't so... anyway. The set does work great on gas tops as long as you follow the pamphlet that comes with it which clearly says not to use it on high. You don't need to. Everything heats up so well on medium. We read a lot of reviews about the bottom of these discoloring, and ours haven't. We also read that some people were hearing a loud buz coming from the pots and pans when used on their induction surface. All we heard was the fan blowing on the bottom our NuWave unit. There was no buzzing or any other noise other than the water boiling in the pan after 30 seconds. We stood there with our jaws to the ground watching how fast it heated up to boiling on MEDIUM which our induction unit says is 375 degrees. This set is beautiful and heavy compared to the crappy cheap pots and pans we were using. I'm not sure what induction units that other people are using but if you have a NuWave, then these are the set for you.

It's a great set.
Since you're taking the time to read through 5 star reviews, my guess is you have read the 1 star reviews already. The main point left by the low star reviewers is that everything sticks and these pans are hard to clean. This is definitely true if you have not used stainless steel in the past. If you're new to stainless steel pans, please take some time on YouTube to learn some of the quirks of using stainless steel. It's a different experience from any other material, but it's also a whole lot better for most of your cooking. I received my pan set not too long ago, but have put everything, except the stock pot, through the paces. From stove top to oven, these pans have been terrific. I have had no issues with foods sticking, no issues with cleaning (aside from standard stainless steel scrub requirements), and no other issues. The aluminum core makes the pans heat evenly and it dissipates the heat much faster than copper, giving me some of what I miss by not having a gas stove. Overall, I cannot ask for a better pan set at this price point. If you're looking to replace your current stainless steel pans, look no further. If you're considering your first set, do some research on how to use stainless, then look no further.

Reluctant, but fell in LOVE
I wait at least a month after using a product before posting a review, so I am so happy to say that I LOVE this set of Duxtop cookware! I was not all happy times at first, and there is a definitely a learning curve using these pans. I was so ready to return them (or throw them through the windows at times), but I persevered. I watched many YouTube videos, and also followed Google leads to some professional chef tips. Eventually, it all clicked, and this previously nonstick-addicted cook finally GOT it. Here is what I learned: for most of us, we have expected to cook on our stove-top pans almost as quickly as our microwave. We survived with that, but lived with uneven cooking, constantly moving food around, browning with uncooked middles, cooked food with little browning (omelettes), etc. It takes only a few weeks to get used to preheating the pans, adding a little oil, and then watching chef-quality food come off your stove. I have changed my cooking process: First I start preheating the pan (never use higher than medium), then cut up any ingredients, add a little oil, and start cooking. If you take the time to give the cookware a chance, you will be rewarded with the best tasting, chef-quality food that you have only imagined. Extra nice benefit: this cookware is so high quality that you will be able to teach your children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren how to cook on it right from the start and then hand it down. These pieces should last for generations.

Woweeeee this set is beautiful and amazing!! 10 Stars!
My wife is a chef and was promised her mom's Towncraft cookware after she passed. Well, she had major surgery and can't live alone. When my wife went to get the cookware, her evil sister had taken it; she cried. While she was out of town I bought this set for her. What sold me on it is that it's made by Secura and we have one of their electronic pressure cookers - the ONE tool that she said she would not live without. This set just SCREAMS with beauty, elegance, and QUALITY! It's heavy!! ...but not like cast iron. This set was packaged so well that it took me 15 minutes to unpack it. I had a larger lid on a smaller pot and later moved it and the lid fell on the floor and didn't break! I haven't cooked with it yet because I'm not the cook but I am an aircraft sheet metal mechanic so I know this will cook perfectly. I've already packed up her old Emeril cookware and odd other pieces and put them in the garage. I can't wait to see the look on her face when she sees this beautiful professional cookware on her counter and stove (it's a lot of stuff!). BTW, the company, Secura, has amazing customer service; her pressure cooker was in the "basement" of our motor coach and it fell out on concrete when she was getting it out and it cracked the plastic. Secura only asked me to destroy it and send pix and they shipped out a new one customer service does not get better than that!!!
