So after buying the 2 different brands separately for awhile and me thinking I liked the MacFarms better, I decided to buy both at the same time. Here's the difference in my opinion. The Mauna Lao are greasier and saltier than the more natural tasting MacFarms. Because the Mauna Lao are greasier, they are also softer. I personally prefer the natural crunchy taste that MacFarms packages

This one and the Mauna Loa (blue bag) are by far my favorites and I couldn't say which one is first and which one second. This is mistakenly listed in the "coffee" category but is in fact the same as https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00GCZBZBA/ref=sxts_bia_sr_1_a_it?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=3182441022&pd_rd_wg=mP5Hw&pf_rd_r=XR3RV43Q1655K8PEZ4GJ&pf_rd_s=desktop-sx-top-slot&pf_rd_t=301&pd_rd_i=B00GCZBZBA&pd_rd_w=JT4NG&pf_rd_i=MacFarms+Dry+Roasted+Macadamia&pd_rd_r=WH7Y3H9XZKGBNN4VHTV1&ie=UTF8&qid=1506489828&sr=1

For Keto people, this is a dream source of on-the-go Fat. In 1/4 cup (33g or about 15 nuts) you get: 1 Net Carb, 25g of Fat, 177g Potassium, plus a great Omega 3/6 balance. I scoop the nuts into little snack zip lock bags and keep them in the car, luggage and desk. Great for munching between meals or to Add Fat to balance my Macros for the day. Also, an awesome fuel sources for LCHF endurance athletes; small baggie full of KETO Goodness! This brand is the best tasting and cheapest I have found. But it is still really expensive, basically 20 servings per bag at $30 comes out to $1.50 per serving.

I'm very happy with my order of these macadamia nuts. They are impossible to find here in Mississippi in bulk and at an affordable price. I opened them the day they arrived and they are very fresh. Arrived on 05/2017 and expiration date is 09/2018. They will be long gone before then. The only additive is sea salt and they taste perfect. I will be ordering them again. I used my TV remote to show size of the bag (24oz/680g). UPDATE June 29, 2017 I ordered a second bag of these nuts and they are just as fresh and good as the first bag I ordered.

I went on a search for the ultimate macadamia nuts. After three other brands including Costco, Mauna Loa and one I can't remember, I found mac heaven in this brand. In less than ten days I've ordered twice. You definitely won't want to share these. Note to all those with dogs, know that macadamia nuts specifically are poison to them. Please keep the nuts safely away.

I purchased another brand of macadamia nuts recently, trying to get my wife foods that would help her into a keto diet. Her comment was "I only really like macadamia nuts in cookies." Keto. Failure. They were good, but they were also unsalted. Amazon recommended these, and I clearly see why. These are AWESOME!! My wife's comment on them went something like, "Oh look, the bag is clearly open (as she opens the bag), so therefore I should have a couple (a handful pulled out)." Keto WIN!! Now we just need to replace all her skittles with this.

I have found that Macadamias I have purchased in the past, other brands, have been rancid tasting. These on the other hand are AMAZING!! Oh my gosh they are so fine; fresh tasting and an expiration date in 2019! They will never last till then of course because I am snacking on them daily! Also, the size is very generous. I have finally found the best and freshest. Love these.

I'm on a low carb diet, and macadamian nuts are one of my go-to snacks. They're so expensive to buy in small quantities in the supermarket, so I was looking for a large size for a reasonable price. I'm very happy with this purchase - the 24 oz bag lasts me a couple weeks, eating a handful a day, and the quality is great - fresh, whole, delicious, roasted and salted macadamian nuts. They're not super salty by any means, there's just a light dusting of salt, but it's the right amount to allow you to enjoy the natural taste of the nut.

These macadamia nuts taste wonderful: buttery, crunchy, and oh-so addictive. The nuts are fat and plump with just a light roasting. They also have a dusting of salt. I’m not a big salt eater and prefer my nuts plain if possible, but the MacFarms brand doesn’t go overboard with the sodium. The touch of salt actually enhances the flavor of the macs. So the MacFarms macs are just as good as the more famous brands, and cost a lot less too.

I have been using macadamia nuts for several weeks now to supplement my diet with some healthy fat because I'm on a ketogenic diet. The brick-and-mortar retailers where I live in the southeastern US can't seem to keep the nuts fresh. Perhaps the turnover is low because they are not really a rational, economically wise purchase for a larger low-income family on a tight budget for instance. Or, maybe it's the high temps that seem to hover just above hell in the summertime that ruin them in transport. I don't know but they seem to develop a rancidity even before the expiration date. Over and over again I was getting nuts that had that slightly off and rancid flavor. Plus, I was paying a small fortune. So when I saw these on Amazon and that they had so many high reviews, I had to get them. Obviously for the cost savings as well as the fact that so many high reviews might mean a higher turnover and a lesser chance of getting rancid nuts again. And I was right! These are delicious and they are fresh. Not one bit of a rancid flavor detected! I have no complaints except to say that when I have on rare occasions been able to get Mauna Loa macadamia nuts that were fresh and not rancid from the brick-and-mortar retailers, I noticed that they aren't as heavily roasted. They appear lighter in color and they have a more buttery, sweet and delicate flavor than these. But that's not enough of an issue for me to give these less than five stars. They are still very delicious and I'm very pleased. I will probably buy these again.
