Has the runner slots for hanging file folders! Love it for storing my important documents. Very heavy and not easy to move. Also stores 2 backup hard drives along with a 2" thick document folder with ease. Locking mechanism is a bit rough, really have to click the lever down with some pressure to lock and same thing with the release. Comes with 2 keys.

My manuscripts outgrew my first SentrySafe, so I purchased this identical safe for my ever-growing collection. It's a perfect size for 9 x12 tablets and hanging files, keeping everything clean, organized and safe from fire. Though it's quite heavy, I suppose a determined thief could make off with it somehow, or manage to break the plastic lock, so I wouldn't call it theft-proof. But if you're looking for a good quality, fire-resistant safe for important documents, I recommend this one.

The reviews where the safe has been damaged are obviously damaged during transportation. I have ordered 3 of these at different times and all three are in great condition. of course if the owner drops it, then it will get damaged since concrete is not flexible. As for the lock, it is just for privacy NOT for security. It works fine as long as the box is not overloaded to the point the lid doesn't close tight. Then it will bind on the cam from the pressure and snap your key off or break the lock altogether. Being a locksmith, I have had many customers that call to have their Sentry Safe unlocked because the key didn't work. I had them stand on it while I turned the key and presto, the box was opened. So, don't store cash or jewelry in it. Just keep papers in it for taxes, passports, birth certificates, etc.

I couldn't be happier. I live on the lake, and it flooded the house a couple of weeks ago. Not one drop of water got in this. I had it on the floor downstairs and forgot to put it up. I bought it because of flooding and the chance of fire while not there. I have to say it works though. Third time that dang house flooded. Finally the county is doing something about it. Pro's. Very spacious Heavy but not heavy enough where I can not move it around. Easy to use. Did I say I found out it actually worked. Didn't want to find out but did. I would definitely buy one again, Wait I just did. Thanks.

After reading all the reviews I was very worried what I was going to receive. I ordered two of these safes and after receiving them and looking at both of them and checking the locks and the latch in front both safes I think these safes are very well made and very great quality. They hold hanging folders well and the safe has a great tight seal. Yeah, the safes don't have handles but I've never seen one that did. Maybe the latch breaks because people use it as a handle when it's not. I found nothing wrong with both safes I purchased. I'm very glad I took the chance and ordered them. Very happy with them.

I was happy with my purchase. After reading the reviews, I was a bit worried that it would be too small or that it would be damaged, but it arrived in great shape. I purchased it to keep documents safe and it fits my file folders perfectly with a little room on top so I could add in tabs for my folders. . It is fairly heavy for a small safe. The inside was clean, and it was easy to lock. The inside is a tad bit deeper than a hanging folder. It looks like I will be able to fit about 20 hanging files in it as long as they are about the size of a notebook. Overall, it is perfect for my purposes which would be as protection for my important documents in the event of a fire or flood. The walls are about an inch thick and the lid is as well. It is very sturdy.

I use this to protect documents and small items that I want to protect to some degree and can easily find when I need them. This thing is very heavy and looks like what-ever I put into it will be protected from water and some extreme heat damage. The UPS driver who delivered it (It's not wrapped so everyone can see what you ordered) said her mother has three of these. I can see why, as I'm considering getting a second one. I got the hanging folders to go with this but don't really need them as regular folders are working well for me.

This thing is HEAVY. I keep it tucked away in the closet out of the way. It's just big enough to hold my file folders and 8.5x11 inch papers, but nothing larger than that size would fit without folding. Seems secure enough for what I need it for, which is mainly peace of mind in the event of a fire or break-in. WIll it keep out a really dedicated thief? No. But it keeps things out of sight and presumably will save my most important documents in the event of a fire or water damage. And if it gets stolen it would slow them down in getting away with how heavy it is- an added bonus.

I had to reorder a replacement safe as the top completely broke off after a few weeks of ownership. WARNING; The safe is a bit top heavy...be very careful! The hassle was getting this back to UPS after ordering a replacement....this thing is HEAVY! I did receive the replacement and am still happy with my purchase.

This is a fire resistant container for hanging files, not a safe. If that's what you want, you'll be happy with this. If you want something that will withstand a crowbar, this is not what you want, the latch is plastic.
