Nothing beats sitting on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro and having the "Pineapple Guy" sneak up on you and yells "AAAAH! BACAXI" (Portuguese for Pineapple) as loud as he can possibly shout.. He then takes his sword like knife and slices off a piece of fresh sweet juicy pineapple and serves it up for taste. Why does pineapple taste so good in Rio and also Costa Rica ? I'm not in Rio any more and if you are like me and having issues with store bought pineapples that you have to core and cut and hope that it is ripe with with all the juice that tends to go every where when slicing then next best quickest and easiest option is going with a company that specializes in fresh fruits and vegetables. Dole Pineapple Slices are packed in its own juices and always taste like it has just been cored and sliced for consumption. Packed in a can but fresh and sweet once opened this product for me is the best tasting however nothing compares to Rio's Pineapple Guy's stash of pineapples. ...JS

NO DENTED CANS

I'm trying to write a review of Dole Pineapple Slices in 100% Juice, 8 Ounce Cans (Pack of 12) Sold by: Amazon.com Services LLC but I keep getting sent to a previous order for the tidbits, which I have already reviewed. The slices are way better than the tidbits, orthe chunks which I have also tried. Excellent quality in every respect. And the cans aren't full of dents.

Good stuff

Use this with Angel Food cake mix (add water only type). Mix 12 oz can with the cake mix and stir together. Bake @ 350 in 13x9 sprayed pan for about 35-40 minutes. Very easy - not too sweet. 2 ingredients only.

A delicious part of my daily breakfast

Dole Crushed Pineapple in Juice is something that I have been eating every day for many years and I never get tired of it. The current label lists a half cup serving as containing 80 calories, 15 grams of total sugars and 1 gram of protein. There are just three ingredients in the can: pineapple, pineapple juice and citric acid. It is sweet and tasty without any added syrup and a nice addition to both sweet and savory dishes. I have noticed over the years that there is a lack of consistency in how well crushed the pineapple in an individual can is. Some cans have chunkier pieces but most have the well crushed style that I prefer. The size of the pieces may vary but the taste is consistently good. Dole Crushed Pineapple in Juice is a product of Indonesia, packed in a flip top BPA free can and non-GMO. It is absolutely delicious pineapple.

Dole Pineapple chunks sustain me.

The flavor, the size of the bites and the size of the can are very much in this product's favor. In fact, I rely on it. I have diabetes, and I am sometimes subject to episodes of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). I have discovered that drinking the juice and eating the chunks from the 8 oz. can will elevate my blood sugar without taking it too high. I carry a can of it with me whenever I go out. I now have it and Dole pineapple juice in cans on automatic order so I am never out of it.

Convenient and Tasty

I can't find this size can of pineapple tidbits in the store where I usually shop, so buying a whole case from Amazon is very convenient. I really like the taste of the tidbits in my Greek Yogurt lunch. There is just something special about the taste in a cup of plain yogurt that doesn't contain sugar -- none in the yogurt and none in the pineapple -- like having ice cream for lunch. I've tried pineapple chunks, but they just aren't as good; can't figure out why. The pull-top makes it so convenient as well.

Good value for money, delicious

I love pineapple, these are a good value and I can buy on Subscribe & Save and have them delivered to my door each month. Just wish these were chunk pineapple instead of tidbits. Couldn't find chunk pineapple on Subscribe and Save.

We love the convenience of ordering our favorite fruit by the case. We received it without dented cans (a must). Easier than picking up a couple of cans at the store.
