I own a 2013 Victory Cross Country. The phone hook-ups for the AUX stereo option is for the Iphone 4. Does anyone own a Iphone 4 any more? I went to the local stereo shop and they quoted me 13-1600 dollars for a stereo upgrade. Not happy with their answer I decided to look for other options. I first purchased the adapter to go from 32 pins to 8 pins the Iphones now use. That didn't work at all. The stereo didn't even recognize the phone. I then came across the coolstream bluetooth adapter and thought I would give it a try. Set up took seconds and within a minute I was listening to my music on the motorcycle. I could not be more thrilled with this device. I hope this helps other riders because there is nothing better than America blasting you in the face with ACDC as the theme music.

I rarely leave reviews (lazy mainly) and I purchase a fair amount of products to know good from bad. So for me to take the time to submit a review means the product really must be as good as it was portrayed. I have two Bose SoundDocks - one wired and one a rechargeable system - but both were the old 30-pin connector and since moving to new phones with the Ligthning connector, using these speakers was awkward. I purchased one of the Apply 30-pin to Lightning cables but while it did work, it felt awkward at best to use. I was ready to ditch the speakers and started looking at newer Bluetooth speakers, when it suddenly occurred to me to see if 30-pin Bluetooth adapters existed (as if I should ever have doubted it). I found two that seemed to be the best value based on ratings, cost etc. In the end I decided to go with the Coolstream Duo, although I was concerned about some reviews stating the distance the phone could be from the adapter was very limited, but I figured I could work around that. Anyway, moving on to the real point of the review. Simply put, the product works, and works well. Plugged it into the SoundDock, turned it on, enabled Bluetooth on my phone, located Coolstream and pressed Connect. That simple. In seconds, music was playing out of the speaker. I live in a two-story townhouse, and I went to the furthest point on the second floor and put about 30 feet (direct-line) between me and the CoolStream. My wife downstairs stated the music never missed a beat. I feel like the cost of this adapter basically allowed these old SoundDocks to have a second lease on life - I think I saw the Bose smile (honest!). I hate disposing of something that is still useful just because another technology has moved on. I already own Bluetooth headset, so I have not tested that functionality and cannot comment on it, but that was not a selling point for me. I have an after-market harness I had installed in my car so I could use my old 30-pin iPod through my car sound-system. I plugged the CoolStream into the harness cable, and my phone played music perfectly; again no more having to be connected to the Apple adapter cable. The CoolStream works, price point is just right. Not much else to say, except I will be ordering a second one so I can leave it in the car.

I love this thing! This definitely breathed new life into a valuable piece of equipment. I have a Bose SoundDock and SoundDock II and used them constantly but over time as Apple changed the iPhones I started using them less and less. I bought the appropriate adapters but over time I found I liked having my phone on me rather than in a cradle somewhere. I bought Bluetooth speakers and slowly the SoundDocks became expensive dust collectors. That is until I found the CoolStream Duo! When I received the CoolStream I dusted off my SoundDock II and in less than a minute I unboxed the CoolStream, plugged it into the 30 pin connector, paired my phone and I was back in business. If you have a SoundDock or any 30 pin music device lying around you need this product. It is Awesome! It's reasonably priced, nice looking and works great. My SoundDock II went from completely dormant to being used everyday again. I'm buying another for my original SoundDock soon. Thank-you CoolStream!!

WOW! I don't get excited over products that often, but this one transformed a second generation BOSE SoundDock from a paperweight to great again - in fact even better than it was before Apple made it obsolete! I've only had the CoolStream a couple days, but plugged it into the SoundDock and was pleased to see it connect to my iPhone first without any issues. Then I connected to my Echo Dot and now I can voice control the thing!!! What a kick - this makes the SoundDock way better than it was back in the Nano days but the BOSE quality sound is still as good as it gets. I am on Amazon Prime and have a Pandora subscription so I can play pretty much any song, artist, or station I want by just asking for it. I hope the CoolStream lasts a long time and if it does, it will be one of the best value purchases I ever made. If you still have an old BOSE SoundDock, get one of these - you will not regret it. You may also want to get an Echo Dot as the threesome is awesome!

Great addition to the Honda Goldwing motorcycles. I have a 2016 Honda Goldwing, and it has it all... except for Bluetooth! Goldwings are equipped with a 3.5mm AUX audio in line in the left pocket, above the faring. You can plug in your cell phone or iPod to play music. However, you can plug in the CoolStreeam Duo and add Bluetooth audio to your AUX input. I had previously installed a USB charger in the pocket, so I was able to plug in an old cable

Perfect, now I can connect my projector to my bosedock to watch movies or listen music, my Bose is a first generation and this little device returned my Bose to life, I bought 2 different ones and didn't work but this one did the job...if you have a old bosedock don't hesitate, this one is thr one you need.

i have a bose portable speaker. i bought it when it first came out, years ago. at the time, coolstream wasn't sure their product was 100% compatible with the bose sounddock. i called coolstream and the person i spoke with offered to send me one for free to test it out. i agreed, it worked great, and i couldn't be happier with their device. i've since purchased 7 or 8 of them...not because they fail (none ever has), but because i collect a lot of bose portable speakers. as much as i like the coolsteam, i love the bose portable speaker. it's no longer made, but when it was, it cost well over $300. i can find them occasionally on cl for $40 or $50. when i do, i buy it, package it with a coolstream, and give it to one of my kids or a friend. it's a great way of sharing music. while the bose portable speaker is great, too many phones don't have an aux output, so connectivity can be an issue. coolstream solves that.

This is the best buy I have ever made! My old iPod died and my new one has a lightning connector, so won't work on my Bose SoundDock. I bought a gadget that converted from the old connector to the new one. Actually, I bought two of them - the first one didn't support audio... Anyway, I was still having a lot of problems with the speaker and the iPod. This solved ALL my problems - at least the ones that have to do with my SoundDock! Now, I can play all the playlists on my iPhone from across the room without cables or wires or connectors. They paired up easily and even this old lady had no problem at all getting it to work!

I bought an nice BOSE Ipod dock speaker several years ago, which I love the sound on. Unfortunately, this speaker is worthless if you want to use it for anything other than an Ipod. Luckily I came across this CoolStream Bluetooth Adapter...I can't tell you how happy I am with my purchase! I really wanted to be able to use this speaker with my Amazon Echo Dot, and it works like a charm. Set up literally took maybe a minute. I plugged the CoolStream into the dock where the Ipod usually goes, went to the Echo app on my phone, and connected the devices to each other in seconds. Now I am able to listen to all my music on a great speaker! Purchase this, you won't be disappointed!

Works Great! Easy to pair and operate. IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE SOUND QUALITY. When you dock your older 30 pin iPod or iPhone DIRECTLY to a sound dock (Bose, Klipsch, iHome, etc.) the sound dock plays pure "line out" analogue audio free from any sound changes you might have made in your iPod or iPhone settings. You might have made sound changes on your Apple device to compensate for the headphones or ear buds that you use. When you DIRECTLY dock your Apple device those sound changes are NOT used when you play your music. That's NOT the case when you use ANY Bluetooth adapter on your sound dock. The audio changes you might have made in the setting on your device will be played on your sound dock. While your headphones and ear buds might need an EQ adjustment to sound good, quality sound docks like Bose and Klipsch do not. BE SURE to set your Apple device EQ settings to either "OFF" or "FLAT" when playing music through a Bluetooth adapter mounted on your sound dock. Failure to do this might result in poor sound quality from your sound dock and might explain the poor audio reviews. Android device users should also turn off ANY sound EQ adjustments they have made. Set the sound EQ to OFF or FLAT. This CoolStream Duo Bluetooth Receiver works and sounds excellent when properly set up. Regardless of how you're using a Bluetooth adapter ... car audio system ... home stereo receiver ... self-powered speakers ... surround sound home theater ... etc ... You should always start with flat no EQ audio from your source device. Make any EQ (tone) adjustments at the receiving (playback) end and you'll have better sound quality.
