Great Picture and Simple to Install
Just got done installing this on a 2009 Jeep Liberty, Seems like a very solid camera that should withstand the elements. It's a pretty straightforward installation. The Jeep already had two notches in the bottom of the license plate brow so I ran the wire through one of them and passed it through the opening for the lift gate handle. I decided to use a wireless transmitter to save some time running wire and was able to tuck the transmitter in to one of the many openings in the lift gate. The picture is actually really clear during full light and also clear in total darkness. See the attached pictures for samples. The distance lines are a plus and I used the closest (red) line as my 6" mark. The view I get extends beyond both sides of the vehicle. Aiming the camera is pretty simple thanks to the tension screws being on the bottom of the camera. Also, once mounted the frame and camera just barely cover the top portion of your license plate. Depending on your registered state you may have the name of the state at the top of your license plate and if it is covered (even partially) by this camera then you may be stopped for it. Just to give a heads up. Overall, this seems like a good product and I will update my review after a few months of use.

Zero regrets!
Great price for an awesome camera. The frame is metal and super rigid so no worries about longevity. Camera quality is equal to if not better than factory installed cameras.

A solidly built license plate cam. Works well for 2004 BMW X3
Installed item using wireless wiring setup and connected a mini 4.3" monitor on the central dash and activated when reversed. The pictures are good and resolution is clear while backing up even at night in dimly lit areas. The built and materials used are good and it is inexpensive considering the cam can be adjusted up and down and housed in a metal bolt housing. Also no need to buy a separate license plate frame. The frame itself is metal not plastic. Installed in a 2004 BMW X3.

This is a great camera!
5 Stars way up for this item. The frame is solid built no flex and appears to be well coated in black paint. The camera housing itself is as rugged as well as thoughful consideration given regarding the wire placement from the housing - not likely to get water infiltration. The wiring itself was ample for my '04 Sequioa; install will be quick and easy for a person capable of installing a basic car stereo system. I've read some people complain regarding the image quality; I'm uncertain what the problem is they have experienced. In my case, I removed the blue protective film from the lens after the install was complete and wow - it looks as good as the oem camera on my parents' Highlander. Not HD 4K quality, but plenty good to see what is going on behind the vehicle. The color is well balanced at least on my head unit (JVC) and the night vision is phenomenal. The previous camera I bought from a big box store did not have night vision so I replaced my back up lights with LED to help it out; still wasn't great. This camera is excellent in the dark - maybe my LED's help out with it ? Down sides: Honestly cannot think of any. At its selling price it's a true value especially if new to back up cameras and tow trailers or campers - it makes backing up to the hitch effortless.

Nice, accurate grid lines, Adjustable. Recommended.
Excellent camera. Have been using this for a few weeks on my Honda accord 2007. + Mounted myself. Very easy. 5 min job, no tools required + Nice and very accurate grid lines. + Works well in low light conditions. + Good angle, field of view. No comparative data, but does what it needs to. + Height and angle (far Vs. near) adjustable through a set of screws. + In general, I believe license plate cameras are a better choice, since these are easier to mount, as long as the car has a hole to get the cabling in (typically through the license plate lights). Issues: None so far. Haven't used it in winter, foggy and moist conditions (yet).

This camera is way better than any other ones I've installed
This camera is way better than any other ones I've installed. The camera shows full color even at night. I'm very impressed and will buy another.

Can't be beat for the $$!
Can't beat it for the price! Decent, clear image and better night vision than the factory rear view cam in my 2011 Ford Explorer! Honestly, in comparison to the Ford, its equal in almost every way. I only wish it had a slightly wider viewing angle. I have not had it in a rain storm but I have hand-washed the vehicle a few times and I have had no issues with moisture getting into the camera lens so far. Its installed on a 2004 Toyota Sequoia connected to a Kenwood DNX6160.

Solid build
Great camera, I returned another brand after having issues. This one has simple wire. Connections and a slim end to the wire so it can be ran through tight spaces before making the connection near the brake light. The picture quality is real nice and even with all the snow and salt I haven't had to wipe it clean to see. It's a solid build which I like and the camera being built into the frame keeps it from being bumped or nudged over when going in and out of the trunk. I recommend this over the others.

Best bang for your buck
Best bang for your buck. I thought this would be a cheaper camera and break after a few days, but I've had a for a month on my truck now and have no complaints. Installation was simple considering it being my first backup camera install. Of course, difficulty varies by vehicle, but overall i recommend this.

Three ordered, three approved.
Having three of these installed on my vehicles at my house, I could say that I am quite content with the camera. The IR capabilities helps out with minimal light and the quality of the daytime camera was better than I expected. I dont plan on installing anymore, but if I had to I would definatly order another. Great price and shipping time.
