Works great after a year of use

I got this mount to go with my gopro hero, and after about a year of use it's still working great. The material is durable and the suction cup still works great in spite of being left in my car a few times and being stuck to the glass at a hockey rink every weekend. Recommended!

Adjustable, sticks wherever a suction cup could stick.

I got this to use my gopro as a dash cam while I was driving around out of state. It works well and does not detach from my windshield by itself. The arms are pretty long and it could be a bit tricky to position it correctly but it also lets you tilt and rotate to your liking. Works great, you could probably stick it to other things as well to get a more unique recording angle. I'd imagine you could stick it to the body of your car. Just keep in mind that it is only a suction cup. There is no adhesive so mount to the outside only at your own risk. It can still hit something and fall off. Did what it was bought to do.

A must have!!

Everybody thought that this would come off at some point on the utv trails, so I tethered it to my Canam Defender HD 10 to be safe. Didn't matter, because this thing stuck to my windshield like it was glued on and not once did it ever come loose on me while blazing thru the trails. I got some incredible action camera video's, because the mount did its job. Glad I bought it!!

Great GoPro mount

Bought this to mount my GoPro Hero 5 to my cars windscreen to use as a dash cam around town and it works like a champ. I've also mounted it to my sun roof for those "cockpit" type shots as well. Couldn't be happier with how it's held up so far.

Bigger than expected but solid and good features

Documentation inside shows through Hero 3 but works perfectly with my Hero 4, as expected. (The product description is accurate, just the note inside the box doesn't say Hero 4) This unit is slightly larger than I was expecting but it's solid. I was pleased to find that the main pivot next to the suction cup has detents that click slightly when the screw is loosened and the arm is moved. This is important for me because I'm using this mount for time lapse and want the camera to have the exact same position should I need to rotate it away from the glass to remove the microSD or swap the battery. With this mount and the open frame mount I use with the camera, I know exactly how many clicks to rotate out then back into position later. No guessing and I can leave the suction mount in place and still have the exact same position. Thanks.

Great product for a great price!

This is a suction cup mount for GoPro cameras that seems to keep to the same high standards as official GoPro products. I use it to get steady shots out of airplane windows, and it is perfect for doing so. The suction cup mount can be adjusted on all kinds of places, so with it you can record both directions (through a window, or away from a window). I've used the suction cup mount many times, and it hasn't yet lost any suction (I don't even clean the surface before ataching). This was a great buy, and along with its great price, this is a product that I strongly recommend for expanding your videography horizons.

So far, so good!

This has worked great for me so far. It has a very strong suction cup, and secures the camera tightly into position. I have only used it on the inside of my windshield, so I can't comment on how well it works outside of a vehicle. I feel it is very good for the price though.

Great Suction Mount, Great Price!

The Smatree Suction Cup Mount for GoPro Hero works well for my GoPro Hero 4 Silver. Inside the box, I found the suction cup, a quick-release buckle, and a thumbscrew. What I appreciate about this is it's specifically designed for the GoPro because it incorporates the GoPro buckle into the mounting arm. My previous suction cup required a tripod mount adapter which screwed on, and it was always difficult to ensure the mount was pointed the right way and screwed on tight at the same time. The buckle adapter on the mount arm solves this problem! The Smatree Suction Cup Mount also is smaller than the GoPro proprietary mount, and is smaller than my previous suction cup mount. While it is smaller, it still holds quite well to windows, and I've not had any problems with vibration. While I'm not one to stick this on the exterior of a vehicle, I could not tell if it could hold up to high speeds with air passing over it. All in all, this adapter works well for filming within interior environments, and does a good job.

In the beginning I was sceptical about this. Price low. Some bad reviews but I decided to give a try. Hard plastic ok. The suction cup great. If somebody is saying that it's not holding I don't understand. Holding perfectly fine. Just do it as it should be. I mounted inside and outside.

Not just the GoPro

I got this mount to use with a Nabi Square HD action camera. I found the part the makes up the hinge on the parts that came with the Nabi was a bit to fat to fit into the hinge side of this mount ( where the top screw is on the picture) but a little sanding on the Nabi part I was good to go. I used this to mount to the windshield of our tour bus on a trip to Israel. The suction cup held firm and after getting the camera settings right the result was some excellent footage through the streets of Jerusalem. I can't say how well it would hold on the hood or outside surface of your car or truck door but the "through the windshield" mounting was easy and allowed for a variety of angles.
