Works well even with large, heavier clock hands

I had a custom wall clock my wife made and it no longer kept time. I replace the movement and the clock worked like new. This has plenty of torque to move the 12 inch hands of this clock. It brought new life to an old clock.

This movement saved time and money.

We have a large 3' diameter wall clock that that would be expensive to replace. The original clock motor would no longer support the arms or maintain accurate time. This replacement has been running a few months now. It fit perfectly and the clock is keeping time.

This did the trick as a replacement motor for a large clock we purchased that crapped out within days of purchase. We liked the clock enough to replace the motor. This one is working like a charm and was a cinch to install.

TAKANE clock motor works for me!

I used this TAKANE clock motor on a large clock with an 18 inch long minute hand. I epoxied a heavy washer at the non-pointy end of the minute-hand to balance it. Balanced hands remove the strain that is placed on the clock motor when the hands move between 35 minutes after the hour to 55 minutes after the hour. The motor is silent. There were no clock hands offered in the description of this clock motor, and no hands were sent. The motor has the capability of having a "second" hand in addition to the hour and minute hands that you provide. The kit comes with an "open" minute-hand securing nut for applications with a second hand, and a "closed" cap-like nut for uses without the second hand. The clock is keeping perfect time during the last two weeks. I will update this review if the motor fails.

Saved a brand new clock I really liked that was dead on arrival. Exactly what the clock doctor ordered. 10 inch hands don't miss a beat.

Good, simple movement.

If you're looking for a decent little clock movement but need it on the small side this little guy works great. I purchased this movement to repair an 18" clock in my office that would not keep time. It's been roughly a month now and this sucker has been keeping perfect time.
