• Patented Reverse Bleeding removes more trapped air than any other brake bleeder by simply pushing Brake Fluid fluid from the bottom up.
  • Reverse bleeding is the only method capable of bleeding tough ABS units without a scan tool.
  • Allows you to refill and bleed a completely dry brake or clutch system. Perform Reverse, Vacuum, Pressure and Bench bleeding all with the same tool.
  • The V-5 is considered a Light Duty tool for intermittent use. Compatible with DOT 3, 4 and 5.1 brake fluid. (most vehicles use DOT 3 or 4).
  • Is the easiest one-person bleeder you will ever use. No more asking your family or friends to help you finish a brake job.

This tool does it fast and is high quality. The first job you do will impress you! Get one for your friends too!

I bought this pump because I have several old cars that have been sitting around for years. I am finally at a point where I can begin to restore some of these for use or sale and have found that virtually all of them have ruined brake lines and hardware. I had replaced the parts on a 1971 Challenger but was having difficulty bleeding the brakes the traditional way. With this pump, by myself, I was able to make sure every corner of the vehicle had fresh fluid with no air bubbles to the master cylinder in less than 30 minutes! I am considering buying another one, to use with silicone brake fluid for some of the long term vehicles, because I don't want any risk of cross-contamination.

I ordered this to use on my motorcycle and it works perfectly. Pushing brake and clutch fluid through the system has always been the best way to bleed brakes or clutches and now it is super simple. I bought this instead of the complete kit due to price and I am very satisfied. The system delivered flawless operation and was easy to set up. I hope it lasts as I have many projects I will use this for.

This system worked better than any other device I've ever use for bleeding brakes and or clutches!

Somewhat concerned from reviews that this would be extremely flimsy. Followed directions and lubed the plunger seal as suggest in instructions and used immediately. As long as you squeeze the unit uniformly and don't get crazy with it, it works and feels just fine. Initially was able to fill the lines in each wheel on my 2001 Silverado 4x4(old lines were ready to fail and installed new stainless steel tubes all around) till fluid started coming up into the reservoir. Took a total of about 30 minutes to do all 4 wheels doing the reverse bleed with now drips. On a normal non-ABS system, this would have been all that would be needed but DID NOT rectify the issue with the ABS needing purging since it took some normal draining of lines while pumping the brake pedal to get enough brake to drive on my long gravel drive way and lock up the brakes several times. Finally was able to get ABS bubbles out of system without having to take it to the dealer and have them bleed the ABS with their expensive tester. Still works better in standard or reverse mode than my older model.

I am an old shade tree mechanic who has been bleeding brakes the old fashioned way for 60 years. I recently inherited a Harley Davidson Sportster. The rear brakes were shot, and the master cylinder dry. I tried bleeding the old fashioned way, and gave up after fruitlessly working for an hour or more. I saw a U Tube video about the Phoenix System, and ordered one off Amazon. The reverse bled the brakes and in literally less than five minutes, I had perfect pedal pressure. No spongy feeling at all. I am so impressed with this system, I will never use anything else again to bleed brakes.

Looks are deceiving when unboxed it looks cheap and a reverse bleeder has to work perfect. This bleeder works. Not as smooth as higher end versions but the design works. I believe the negative reviews of this product are more of a user issue than product funtion. If you understand basic hydraulic principles you will have no problem. Be smooth with pump. Let the bleed screws fully burp.

Worked great for me. Had vacuum bled brakes twice and still had spongy pedal. Got this tool primed and did three pumps per wheel and it's all good now. No problems here. Spring is fine, no leaking. Even knocked over the 1 quart bottle of new brake fluid on the first wheel I did, right rear, and didn't lose a single drop of fluid.

This device allowed me to do the fastest & easiest brake pad, brake rotor change & brake bleed ever. With one end of the hose in the bottle of new brake fluid, I primed the brake bleeder to remove all of the air, then attached the rubber fitting to the brake caliper fitting, I was then able to pump as much new brake fluid into the lines as I wanted. Before bleeding the brakes used a $5 pump like in a soap dispenser to pull old fluid out of the reservoir and then filled the reservoir from the brake caliper pushing air bubbles up and out through to the master cylinder reservoir. I pushed and entire quart of new fluid through 4 brake lines. Brake strip test at the end showed barely detectable >10ppm of copper in the fluid. It will take some effort (both hands) to pump the fluid through the lines. This device worked so well, is so easy and worked so fast that it felt like I was cheating. Test drive showed firm pedal and no evidence of air in the lines Thanks Phoenix systems for making a great & very smartly designed product and offering it for a very reasonable price.

Works great, quality is fine, firmed up my brake pedal feel. I did read all the instructions BEFORE trying to use it though (hint hint). I read all the reviews before purchasing this and am convinced the negative reviews are the fault of the users, not the product. Some people think they have the DIY gene but they don't.
