The perfect insole to relieve an aching back! I've had these for about 5 months, and they are used heavily every single day. I cannot believe they are still as good as they were the day I took them out of the package. Forget other brands... My back feels so much better, and my feet thank me daily for having a pair of Happy Step insoles under them!!! If you suffer from... well... everything that can ache... does ache... then try a pair of these and see for yourself. Fantastic purchase!!! Highly recommended!

I have a heel spur and Plantar Fasciitis and every insole I have tried made my feet hurt more. Until now, that is. These are soft so they don't hurt the heal spur and they are supportive as well. Love them.

Within the past 5 years, I've developed neuropathy in my right foot and my left foot has had some problems with a painful callous which has gotten a bit worse being on a Rx blood thinner. One of the solutions I've found is to use a brand of shoe called Gravity-defyer shoes (gravitydefyer.com). However, the inserts they provide did nothing to help the pain and I refuse to take another Rx. So, I gave these inserts called "HappyStep Shoe Insoles" a try. I must confess, I did not believe they would work, but these things actually are the ONLY insert which relieves about 70% of the pain. I wish they relieved all of it, but at least I can now walk without so much pain. I've also determined getting old is the pits---but now using these inserts I can still smile!

They feel great; Don't judge a sole by it's cover. I had ordered two different types of in soles this on and a less expensive version.. I thought this was the 'cheaper' version based on the package. But of course it was not, and I could tell the difference. After a long day of standing my feet, knees and legs felt better when I wore these in soles. I applaud the company for their packaging choice for a few reasons; it's environmentally friendlier. it saves in cost not only shipping but in the cost of the over product. The customer is not paying for something they don't use.

I have been wearing custom orthotics for years. I stand and walk on a concrete slab all day and it takes a toll. I have plantar fasciitis and my Achilles develops tendonitis from time to time. The custom inserts cost about $300 with the visits and fitting. They work but they aren't that comfortable and I need a backup pair. I ordered these to wear with a pair of inserts I bought here on Amazon that can be fitted at home after heating in the oven, thinking they would be more comfortable with them. When they arrived they were too thick to work with the inserts so I set them aside. Until one day when the other inserts had become hard and were bothering me. I had a short 4 hr shift that day so I put these in my walking shoes thinking I'd be uncomfortable but only for a few hours. What a surprise! It was like standing on a cloud, all soft and cushy! They conformed to my foot and were firm in all the right places. I wore them for about 12 hours and have continued to wear them every day in comfort. Now they are beginning to show some wear and aren't as cushy but for the price I'll just buy more. 6-9 months is well worth it. The only drawback is that I wear them with compression socks that don't breathe much so they, the inserts and my shoes tend to get stinky. I suggest you buy two pair and switch off every few days. Other than that I have no complaints, just happy feet.

Ordered 3 pairs of these for my grandmother who reports "they are amazing!" As she is getting older she is finding it hard for her shoes to fit comfortably as the soft tissue of her feet become absent and the thinning layers of her skin become more sensitive to pressure spots, bruising and damage. Because wrapping her in a large bubble isn't possible, adding these to her shoes makes them more comfortable for her. I will add that they do take up interior space of the shoes, thus making the shoe more snug, however, with her thinning feet this is not an issue and is in fact helpful for overall fit. While I do personally believe that a well made shoe should not require the purchase of an orthotic insole such as this, I can imagine circumstances or preferences differ from each individual's needs.

I am 30 year old machinist and I've been doing it since I was 18. On my feet all day. Most of the time I'm just standing in one spot at my machine. On your feet all day is fine, but just standing there and not moving is what kills your feet and legs. I purchased a pair of Skechers memory foam shoes a couple months ago and fell in love with them because I needed insoles that were extremely soft and giving, however I could tell that their memory foam was cheap and wouldn't last long. I ripped out the Skechers foam and put these in about a month ago and its like walking on clouds. It may not be for some people if you don't like things that feel a little spongy or squishy....but myyyyyy oh my they will INSTANTLY relieve your feet, and probably your legs. They have brought my legs back to life. Even if these only last a few months considering how much I wear them...no big deal for me. $15 every few months to feel good and have that energy back again? Yessir.

Product came in timely manner, works very well for someone on there feet up to 11 hrs a day! Theses are a very affordable product compared to other brands! Love them! Also easy to insert into shoes, I did not trim mine at all. Wear a size 8 shoe in womens.

Second update: As of Jan 2019 the first set of these I purchased have been relegated to my winter boots. They are still 100% functional and comfortable as heck! Can't believe how long these last compared to the plastic-y ones you buy in the store that just disintegrate after a few months. The Nevados boots are awful though, they fell apart after 2.5 months. Update: After nearly a year these insoles are still going strong. Much more durable than the Dr Scholl inserts I used in the past due to the 1 piece/material construction. They may be a little less spongy than when brand new, but still super comfy and keeping my feet nice and padded. I recently started walking about 5 miles a day and even with the heavy steel toe boots I had before there were no comfort problems. I did purchase a pair of Nevados hiking boots and immediately got a set of these to go with, and this is a cheap, light, cool, and comfortable pair of summer boots. I will keep buying these insoles for as long as they keep making them. Original review: Recently purchased new Red Wing boots and was starting to get some pretty interesting heel and big toe pain after 10 hours at work (standing on concrete). I looked at the insoles that came with the boots and they were just simple flat pieces of thin foam with no shape for support or anything. Coupled with steel toes and full welt outsoles, the bottoms of the boots were rather uncomfortable. Rather than try to return 2 week old, oil and metal chip covered, worn boots to a local boot store I decided to purchase new insoles to make them work for me. I also love the boots otherwise in terms of features and upper comfort, they just needed a bit more sole. These insoles are memory foam only and do not have much super solid support however they are absolutely amazing. 2 days of wearing these in my boots and my big toes are no longer burning and aching and my heels are back to normal as well. I do not think these are going to last more than 2-3 months, however for $15 I will keep buying them. The size 6-9 fits well inside of the size 9 Red Wing Irish Setter boots I have, just a hair short but I didn't have to cut anything...just pulled the old, dropped in the new, and profit. I know this will not be the case for most, but I wanted to share that the sizes were fairly accurate.

I am in my mid-seventies and the naturally-occurring fat foot pad under my forefoot has diminished with age. I feel like I'm walking on pebbles or my own metatarsal bare foot bones. It is quite uncomfortable. The magazine Consumer Reports on Health by Consumers Union had a recent response to a subscriber about this phenomenon and the magazine editors recommended gel insoles. Well..., I bought a couple of them and found them uncomfortable and unstabilizing--no improvement at all. I did more research and bought other recommended brands/styles. I tried HappyStep Shoe Insoles and they came close to near-perfection in comforting the bottom of my feet--maybe perfection isn't possible. My heel is not a problem, but these also add comfort to that section of the foot. I was ready to donate some hardly-used expensive casual shoes due to their insole discomfort, but I can now wear them. Thank goodness. Now, the question is: "How long will these spongy, but stable, inserts remain this comfortable, as compared to, say, Superfeet Blue (also sold on Amazon), which are stiffer, but came in a very close second for comfort and stability via my testing. Also, HappyStep costs just under $14 and Superfeet Blue costs just under $50--go figure.
