I have had another 8 quart manufactured by a popular name in crocks and let me say this one is far superior. My previous had the digital timer and automatically went to warm, which seemed like a great idea except the actual crock did not get hot enough. I would cook a roast for 11 hours, switching to high when I was home and the carrots would still be hard at the end. Not so with this crock. It cooks WONDERFULLY! I like that when I turn it on, it stays on until I can get back to turn it off. Plus, if the power goes out, when it comes back on, the pot starts cooking again. I can feed my family of 7 a nutritious meal when I get home after a long day at work. It's great. Another thing I love about this crock is that the cord is longer than my last one, which helps with where I have to plug this in I can ensure there is plenty of space around the pot. All in all, total five stars. The digital temperature control on my old crock went out, leaving me no choice but to get a new pot, best thing that ever happened. I highly recommend this crockpot.

it's HUGE!

I am in LOVE with this crock pot! It is HUGE which is exactly what I need for my family of 7. I love the timer feature. We loved it! Instead of having to cram a roast and potatoes inside there was lots of extra room. SO glad my old crock pot broke and I could justify buying this one :) If you're on the fence- buy it- you'll love it.

Nice looking, quality pot.

I bought this for two reasons: the size and the temp settings. My other crock pot cooks too hot and I wanted one that had a warm setting. This still cooks a bit hotter than I would expect, and my stews, chili, and noodle dishes can singe around the edges. Still, it is a nice, large size and I can cook a big batch when I'm entertaining, and not worry about it spilling over. I just make sure to stir my dishes in the process and watch the temp on those things that I don't want to have crispy around the edges. I LOVE the color and the quality of both the base and the insert. Very nice and definitely not cheap looking.

I cannot imagine my life or kitchen without this!

Purchased this just over 2 years ago now and still enjoying it very much! I use it year round as I have found that in the hot and humid Florida summers that this slow cooker is a major asset! I like to cook in this in the Summer because it keeps my kitchen and home much cooler during the brutal Central Florida Summers! If I cook on the stove top or in the oven not only does not kitchen get too hot and miserable but it puts a strain on my AC Unit and increases the electric bill. So I can cook a roast, ham, or chicken in this slow cooker and enjoy a hearty and savory meal without breaking my AC Unit or pouring sweat over the stove. Instead of wasting money on take out food I enjoy healthy meals in this. I love how I can cook many of the same things that I normally would in the oven and it uses less electricity. I love the size of it so that I can cook a ham or make enough chili or stew for family and guests. I love how I can fit a good size beef roast with carrots, potatoes, and green beans in it! I really enjoy cooking delicious meals in this! I am so pleased that I have owned this for over 2 years and use it several times a week and it is still going strong! I very highly recommend this!

Finally!

Finally a slow cooker that will allow me to put in a frozen pork loin without having to hack through the end to make it fit! I still wish I could have found a 10 - 12 quart one so I could be more generous when making Gumbo but I can manage with the 8.5 qt. The 7 qt one I already have was not cutting it. I have used it just once so far, for a pork loin, and it cooked it beautifully.

This thing is great! It's very basic, no bells or whistles, but it's huge and does the job perfect.

FINALLY!!!! I have a crockpot that can make suitable sized meals for my family of 8!! I received my first package and was so bummed to open it up and find a broken crock, however, with no hassle at all...I had a replacement on the way and a free shipping label to return the broken product. I received my replacement just 2 days later, with no issues! I have been using this pretty much every night and I absolutely love it! One simple, straightforward control knob makes this pretty much foolproof! I would definitely recommend.

After owning this unit for about 4 months, I can tell you that this is the largest unit you will ever need. We bought it to complement our 1st high end but smaller cooker ( 6 quart Instant Pot IP-DUO60 7-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker ) This one is way simpler, only one knob with 3 position, plain vanila, but you cannot beat it with the volume of food you can cook in it. As my wife said: you can stick the whole pig in it and have it ready in 2-3 hours. For a family of 5 with teenagers, 6 quart was enough for just 1 meal and little left overs. This monster can feed us for 2-3 days and flavor is excellent. Easy to clean as the stone inserts removes easily. If you have a larger family, this model will give you what you need, trust me.

Nice size

Good size for my big eaters! I needed a large slow cooker and this one fit the bill. Only used it once so far but I was able to fit more food in it than I expected. I like that it's digital and it automatically switches to warm when cooking time is up. One feature I wasn't too happy about was that the lid does not have a steam escape hole, and the liquid was spitting out. Otherwise good. Nice quality.

Great Item, huge capacity

Works well, cooks great and was a low cost alternative to some other brands being sold at the time. If you need a large slow cooker look no further.
