Huge hit

This was a huge hit with my 5 year old nephew. He is currently in a huge puppet phase and makes new stick puppets almost daily, but he didn’t have anywhere for the show. This is perfect because it is fun, but doesn’t take up storage space. It was great hit with my sister as well.

The quality of the fabric is actually better than I thought

This is exactly how it is described. The quality of the fabric is actually better than I thought. I purchased this for my granddaughter’s second birthday with the intention of having it for her and her new baby sister to grow with. I bought a few puppets to help get things started, and it went over great, as my granddaughter loves story time and play acting. Great velcro pocket to put puppets in and a peekaboo opening at the top were unique bonuses.

Good for the imagination

We just gave this to our 4 year old granddaughter for her birthday today. The quality is very good and it is very simple to hang in the doorway. We also purchased hand puppets, but I think she will use it just as much with her Barbies. And when her parents want to put it away, they can easily take it down, fold it, and put it in a drawer.

Great buy

This was a Christmas present so we haven’t had it very long but so far we love it. My daughter has it hanging in her bedroom door. The wood rods that are included to help it hang straight are a tiny bit wider than the jamb but it just makes it hang in front of the door instead of inside the frame. I like that we can adjust the height (unlike a table top) so she never has to bend over to get behind it.. she is 8 and she loves this

A Most Creative Learning Experience

This was a Christmas gift for our 5 year old granddaughter at the suggestion of her mother. We ordered separate hand puppets and our granddaughter had a great first experience with it in our kitchen doorway. As a retired teacher, I loved seeing the creative possibilities of the theater especially the oval in the front where the title of the play can be placed. Not only did she create her own play, she used cutting skills to cut the oval we traced and her writing skills to write the title of her play. What a wonderful learning experience for her! The colorful theater is made well using sturdy fabric. There's enough room for two puppeteers to collaborate on a play if there is a brother, sister or playmate. We couldn't have asked anything more of something so simple to provide the first of many hours of entertainment for her and her audience.

Well constructed and a great value. Quick out of the box set-up that comes with a tenion rod that fits most standard doorways. My grandsons age 3 and 6 play with this for hours. They love making up puppet shows to put on for their gramma and family members.

EXACTLY what I hoped it would be!

This was a PERFECT gift for my 8 year old niece who likes to write puppet shows. She couldn't have been more excited to open it and uses it almost daily. It is well made and VERY easy to use and put away. I was trying to find something substantial but that could be easily taken down, and this fit the bill perfectly. The only issue we have had are the rods that give it weight and structure coming out of the fabric sleeves...we are thinking about sewing up the sides. That's small potatoes, though, in the grand scheme of things.

Great creative fun.

We bought this theater unit to use with our 5 and 2.5 year old grandchildren when they come to visit. We liked the arrangement where the theater can be hung in a doorway, allowing for multiple locations and easy set-up and removal. This has worked very well, and the tension bar at the top is even adjustable to some extent for variable door widths, which as I recall was not emphasized in the product description. The theater is well-made and layout is well designed and colorful, an interesting, almost exotic architectural format. The features with the peak-hole opening at the top and plastic window for a sign at the bottom are great, as well as the tie-back curtains. It really provides a theater experience. We printed a sign with graphics and placed it in the window below, customizing the theater with a name that was meaningful to our grandkids. The only minor drawback was that, given the young age of our grandson and granddaughter, when they put on a show with the theater base just touching the floor the height of the stage was a bit high especially for the 2.5 year old. We addressed this by hanging the stage lower, not a big deal obviously. Our grandkids absolutely love the theater and the puppets, both having grandpa (whose has never done puppetry before) do shows or playing with the puppets themselves. What a great alternative to videos and noisy motorized toys! We are looking forward to many hours of fun with this theater.

Fun and cute!

Bought this as a gift and it is SO cute! My nieces and nephews love it - a great shared Christmas present. It does use a tension rod, so if the kids pull hard on it, it could fall. Just something to be cognizant of. This is a well made toy that preschoolers and grade schoolers can really enjoy for imaginative play. Highly recommended!

Y'all. Seriously. This thing is adorable. My four year old kept telling me she wanted a puppet theatre. And I kept wondering how I was going to pull that off. The Doorway Theatre-that's how! It is very simple to hang, comes with a tension rod built right in. You just twist the rod until it's snug against the wall and that's it! Easy peasy. There are also a couple of wooden dowel type deals in the middle and bottom that help weigh it down and keep it straight. It's very light weight, stores easily and is just plain cute. This has been used nonstop in our house since Christmas, and mostly by the teenagers and adults! Hooray for something fun for the whole family.
