I don't understand how this got any bad reviews at all. Very easy assembly, took less than half an hour. Cordless drill or screw driver, 2 crescent wrenches and a hammer is all you need. Very sturdy design.

First off, once built, this cart works wonderfully. It's very sturdy, and the wheels* glide smoothly. The WEN 73002 service cart is definitely a purchase I do not regret making. However, the box was damaged and re-taped during shipping... although the contents were thankfully not broken. After unboxing, you'll face a collection of shelves, legs, casters and fasteners. This kit contains the precise amount of parts that you will need for assembly. No extras. So, if you're prone to losing things... be careful. Building is easy, if you slot the handle in from the start. All said and done... a good buy. *Though, they don't have any sort of grease fittings, the casters are of adequate size and robustness to support the advertised weight.

For the last few years I've needed a utility cart like this, but only recently broke down and spent the money to get one. This WEN card is just perfect for my household. It seems like I'm always moving cartons of things or heavy-ish objects from room to room or out to the garage, or from the car to the kitchen. Having this cart is so much easier and more efficient than making multiple trips, some days with a bad back! It was delivered disassembled, and the instructions and diagram were not the easiest to follow, but I managed to assemble it in about an hour. I needed to provide a rubber mallet, a phillips screwdriver, and a ratchet wrench to complete the job. I should have charged up my power drill to handle the screwdriving and bolt ratcheting, as there are 16 screws and 16 bolts/washers/nuts. A power drill would greatly reduce assembly time. This cart is somewhat narrow, which is quite suitable for home use. Its front two wheels swivel, the back two are fixed so t maneuvers smoothly. It is built tough.

I am disabled and have difficulty walking. I was looking for a rolling cart to make it easier to move stuff around the house, and to provide a work surface and a stabile platform to help me do chores around the house. Most carts I saw were flimsy or expensive. This one is sturdy and inexpensive. It was easy to assemble with basic tools. I use it for everything : laundry, cleaning the house, moving house plants, carrying tools for projects. I make circuits through the house, picking things up and dropping them off as I go. Helps me do many things that I am unable to do otherwise. My only suggestion is to provide 4 rotating caster wheels and a raised handle to make it easier to push and turn.

Nice quality. A couple of the washers were missing but the unit still works perfectly. I dunno if I would put 500lbs on it but it sure is sturdy. I bought it to transport my groceries from the car through the garage to the mudroom and kitchen. The worst part about shopping at wholesale clubs is lugging all that junk inside the house. I bought another one for my sister and mother who have a home with a personal elevator. They leave it in there and can transport stuff up and downstairs and also to and from the garage. I installed the wheels like a supermarket shopping cart. The other way (pivoting wheels in the back), seemed awkward to me. Highly recommend this product. Price was great.

It does not mean it is lesser quality. This is a "same-material" very thick wall cart. I had a Rubbermaid brand cart that absolutely was not a "better" cart. There are larger carts, and ones with three shelves but you'd play fruitless-hell trying to find a better quality one than this WEN. The material is that kind of plastic that looks "sintered" grainy like that compressed sheets of plywood. To suppress corrosion I am going to paint the steel wheels and swivel bases with clear urethane available on Amazon. Did it before and it works like a charm. After six years at the sea shore the cart looks like new. Really fussy people will clean the plastic once a year then spray it down with heavy-duty silicone spray lubricant. If the WEN cart had a sixth or seventh star recommendation they would be filled. This one is a winner!

Solid cart! clever design integrating the caster wheel assembly mount screws into the lower pillar mounts. Don't forget to put the handle assembly on before putting in the upper pillar screws. The two upper pillar mount points are what hold the handle assembly in place. I put the rotating casters on the front for more control. When the casters are on the back its like steering a forklift. The platforms were both straight. All parts went together with a clean precise fit. Very good quality and even better price at $83.91 with tax. We have the $250 versions at work this one shows no noticeable quality difference from the more expensive brands. Very fast delivery. I ordered July 5th and received it July 7th.

I loved this cart so much I bought a second one. BIG TIP! Read through the directions only to see where which bolts and screws go, then throw them away!! The first cart I went by the directions and it was a nightmare trying to get the legs to fit. I finally started over from bottom up and was way easier. Second cart I knew exactly what to do. First, insert legs in to the slots to the bottom tray. Second, put the wheels on. Only hand tighten nuts. Third, attach handle to upper tray. Will fit on either end, but you have to decide if you want it opposite swivel wheels or not. Fourth, set upper tray on top of legs and in to slots. Fifth, screw in 3 screws to attach upper tray to legs. Sixth, tighten wheel nuts. Doing it this way is a breeze. This cart is very sturdy and well mad and a heck of a deal for the money. Even cheaper than HF. I have the swivel wheels to the front to make steering easier. I use one cart for all of my crawfish boiling/fish frying equipment including LP tanks so all i have to do is roll the entire cart out. I use the second one for just about everything. I have a lot of heavy packages delivered......cat litter, large bags of dog food, etc. so I keep it on my carport where deliveries are left and the delivery guys just stack the stuff on the cart for me and all i have to do is wheel it in. I also use it to bring groceries in, move anything heavy around. Just love the cart. Wish I had a third one for my power tools! Thanks WEN for providing a quality item for a great price!

This cart is great, the price is fair. I anticipated a frustrating assembly but was wrong. My construction advice for others. Tools: * One rubber mallet * One Phillips screw driver of appropriate head size (#2) * One 14mm socket with socket wrench and 5 inch extension (ideal) - OR- One 14mm wrench if you don't have a 5 inch extension. Lay of the land: * There are 16x bolts with 14mm nuts and lock washers. These attach the wheels and the bottom shelf to the legs. * There are 12x screws. These attach the legs to the top shelf. * The legs each have one end with three holes and one end with 4 holes. The end with three holes attaches to the top shelf. The end with 4 holes attaches to the bottom shelf. * Inspect one of the shelf pieces to ascertain which is the top and which is the bottom. The top has additional grooves into it for which the handle is gently inserted. The bottom has 4 holes for which the legs and wheels attach. * Carefully inspect the top of the bottom shelf piece and note that for each corner, there is exactly one beveled groove for which a leg will ultimately fit. Pay attention here! It can only fit one way. Make note of this during assembly. Assembly: * With the lay of the land much more clear before you start assembly, the instructions should hopefully be less confusing. * Place the top shelf upside down on the floor. * Slide the handle/cup holder part into the grooves on either side of the top shelf. * Use the mallet to fully seat the handle/cup holder. * Taking note of the leg orientation during "Lay of the land" grab one leg, orient it for the correct bottom shelf position, but use three screws to attach it to the top shelf. * Repeat with the remaining three legs. * With the bottom shelf upside down, slide it into all 4 legs. * Use the mallet to fully seat all four corners of the bottom shelf into the four legs. * Starting with the handle/cup holder side, grab on of the non-rotating wheels and place it above the 4 screw holes. Insert a bolt from the bottom shelf, through the leg, and past one of the wheel holes. Add a lock washer and bolt. Loosely tighten. Attach the second non-rotating wheel on the same side using the same instructions. * Attach the remaining two wheels at the other end using the same combination of bolt/lock washer/nut. * Tighten all 16 nuts nuts until the lock washers are compressed, then give each nut another half turn or so. No need to over tighten here. * Place the small metal towel rack tube into the handle/cup holder part. Flip over and enjoy.

Package arrived in a slab like box, sturdy and without damage. All pieces fit together perfectly. All hardware was included. You simply had to supply your own tools. Nothing complicated. The instructions would have you putting it together with the steering castors in the rear with the handle, but it works better for me to put them in front, like a grocery cart. Honestly, this thing is rock solid. Don't order it unless you want one that will last forever. The way this thing is built, you can put in in your will, no matter how young you might be. I bought it, because I used to use the same one at work in an industrial plant. I knew at the onset that it was well built. It's big enough to carry tools and provide a small work surface at waist level. Yet, it's light enough that you wont hesitate to throw tools on it a go when starting a job that isn't right there in the shop. A welcome addition to anyone's tool set. Highly recommended!
