In looking for a 12v battery powered toy for my kiddos that will make it through our meadow, up our driveway and across the gravel etc...I found this one. Sceptical at first, but watched some videos on YouTube and was totally amazed watching these little kids truly out in the forest on dirt trails and in the snow. So after a couple hours of "no way" we bought one. It arrived today at 5pm and thank god had a charged battery so the kids could check it out! AMAZING!!! It has WAY more power than I imagined (even after seeing the videos)! My kids were so in awe that they had this little machine that made it entirely around our two acres of gradual terrain/meadow and across the gravel paths. I was amazed too! My 6yr old daughter weights 45# and is tall for her age, my 4yr old little boy is about 43" and about 35-40#. Both I would say have a couple years on this before we feel like they are ready to upgrade to something bigger and more powerful... maybe dirt bikes... but this is a great FUN and SAFE place to start! Couldn't be happier... Actually, I just placed an order for a 2nd one so they can use them together. I wanted to see how sturdy the first one was before I bought a 2nd... and we didn't make it a 30min before they begged for their own.

My 8-year old son loves the dirt quad! The item is well-packaged and comes fully assembled except for the handle bar. All you have to do is attach the handle bar (4 screws I think). The wires that run from the handle bar to the brakes are already attached at both ends and ready to go, so you don't have to do anything with the brake cables. You simply mount the handle bar, tighten a few screws and you're done. Don't pay for the "professional assembly" ---- anyone can "assemble" this product. Taking the quad out of the packaging (cardboard, Styrofoam, etc.) took more time than assembling it. From cutting the bands that are around the cardboard box to having the unit fully assembled and plugged in/charging took 10-15 minutes max.

This is perfect for our 5 year old, who is the size of a 7 year old (50+ lbs). We were looking for something a little bigger than the typical electric power car, but weren't ready for a gas powered bike and this was it! It goes fast enough to keep him entertained (10 mph), but slow enough to be safe. It can make sharp turns, so not having reverse really isn't an issue. He can even take it in our field and does fine off road. Overall we have been really satisfied.

This is the best one I could find after doing a bunch of research on little power wheel vehicles. This has real tires and has enough power to tow things around and drive over a really rough yard. I can also ride on it at 180lbs over bumps and grass with no problems! It doesn’t have quite enough power to tote me up a hill but that’s not a problem. We are big fans of it. It doesn’t reverse, but we can deal with that. Great price for the quality! Have had it for two months now with no issues.

I wanted to wait at least 6 months before reviewing the atv. Many people will review after their kid rides it one time and frankly that doesn't help buyers who want to know how it holds up. First I can tell you this is faster than a normal battery vehicle. If your young child didn't start on a smaller battery toy or hasn't had practice driving some sort of toy vehicle then this may not be right for you. I say that because if they don't know how to take a corner the vehicle can and will flip. Second....don't use the charger that comes with it. Get a Shumacher Charge-N-Ride charger. They cost about 25 bucks on Amazon but will save you hundreds of dollars in batteries. Our battery still runs as long as it did on the very first charge. The cheap wall charger that comes with it will over/under charge the battery which takes a lot of longevity out of it. The Shumacher protects it from overcharging and also charges it slightly faster. My 6 year old weighs 75 pounds and has absolutely punished this thing. He rides through water (when I'm not looking), mud, rocks, sand, and everything else he thinks looks fun. How far will it go on a battery? I have a 2.1 mile jogging course I run that has two steep hills. He rides that jogging course and still has plenty of battery left to ride around at our neighborhood park. Again.....this is not using the charger that comes with it. All in all it has been a great buy. By far it is my child's favorite toy.

Bought this for my 3 year old son for Christmas. Very quick delivery and definitely age appropriate. It took my son only a few minutes to get the hang of driving it and he hasn't stopped yet!!

We bought two of these. One for our 3 & 4 year old. We got them all charged up and one worked great and the other didn't charge correctly and would hardly go forward. I guess it must've been a dud. I emailed amazon and another was shipped out the following week and I didn't have to pay s&h. These things are FAST and have a lot of power. Its a bit too powerful for my 3 year old but she'll grow into it quickly. I'm very impressed by how well these go through rough terrain and they also hold the charge for longer than advertised. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have a governor to be able to slow it down for my daughter & with the exception of the first dud this thing is fantastic. I would strongly recommend it for kids 4 and up.

This is the best 4 wheeler ever. I was so worried that my 3 year old grandson would be to small to ride it, but it was like it was made for him. He loves it. Surprised as how fast it is, and that its battery powered. It was here in less then a week and well packaged. So happy with our purchase from start to finish.

Product works as expected. Loved that all the quad was fully assembled and only had to put the steering when on. It has tons of power and lasted the full hour of use. Only wish the charger was more universal as I know I will eventually lose it.

I had a bunch of questions before I bought this, but I didn’t really get slot of the answers I was looking for, so here goes my review. Why this and not a power wheel? The frame is metal, it’s driven by a metal chain, the motor is a solid (though easy to replace) unit, and the tires are rubber. It lasts a little shorter than a power wheel, but the motor moves twice as much in weight. Is it dangerous compared to a power wheel? Yes, It’s faster, more ridged, heavier, narrower, has both a throttle and break, and will coast on hills. There is no speed limiter and the breaks will lock up. There is a lot to learn. Kids reception/reaction? This was not a jump on and go for him. At 2 his power wheel was much easier, he was familiar with it, and it had lights and buttons for horns and engine reving sounds. He never fell on his power wheel, but he never learned anything but steering on it. It took a half year to get him on the Razor. The Razor was work for him. He had to learn to throttle (the speed is variable depending on input), brake, not lock his breaks, drive faster, turn slower, and pay attention. He really did feel like it was a chore at first. As he got better, and could do everything and more he used to do on his power wheel, the power wheel went into the shed. When he rides now, he shifts his weight and keeps his head up, he’s 3 now and he rides everyday and loves it. How to make it safe? I followed him around for about three weeks with a tow strap wrapped around the rear handle so I could lift up the rear end or adjust his steering. When I ran with him on pavement it felt like it was about 6 to 7 MPH. He got a real helmet and goggles, the Razor straddles the line in between a toy and an ATV way to closely for it to not be mandatory. Is it durable? It does well, the bolts come loose because there is a lot of shaking. But the chain is good and has a shroud on it for protection. I called the warranty number to get a bolt that fell off, but it took six weeks to send it. Either way, if the motor fried tomorrow, I could actually get another one and replace it.
