Love love this! It heats up leftovers in a couple hours, broth based soups in an hour. I use it for quickstyle oatmeal and it takes an hour and a half or so. It's got a great seal but thin liquids can seep out.

This single serving size crock pot is perfect for my lunch to take to work. Lots of times I make enough soup to last me several days so every morning I put some in the inner container - it holds about two cups - and put it in the outer part. I leave the base at work plugged in. About an hour or hour and a half I set it on the base, it has a switch and light on the front of the outer part that shows if it is on. When I get home from work, I take the inner part out and put it in the sink with water in it then put it in the dishwasher later so its ready to fill the next morning. Its so cute and works great and very handy!

I don't like to use microwaves... I especially don't like to use the caked on food, nasty microwave at work. This has solved all my problems. I plug in the lunch crock when I get to work and by lunch time the food is perfectly reheated without getting to hot or overcooking my meal. When it is time for lunch I am able to remove the crock from is heating base and go to the lunch room. The base detaches so I leave that at work and do not have to keep bringing it to and from work. There is also an insert in the crock that comes out for super easy cleaning.

I'm on my second one of these (I burnt out the first one somehow). I use this thing every single day. My lunch hour starts at exactly noon so turning this on at about 11am makes any food in it piping hot by noon. No lines to stand in for sub-par microwaved leftovers for me! I've convinced several coworkers to get one as well and I've seen how they react to not having to run to the cafeteria. I totally recommend this product if you work in an office or cannot leave your workstation for lunch. I leave the base plugged in at all times and just flick the pot on when I want to start heating. For the price, this is hands down the best heater for lunch. Oh, also it does soups REALLY well. A can of Progresso or even, as unhealthy as they are, ravioli. Let it heat for a full hour before eating. Don't worry, the double lid doesn't let those delicious smells out while it's heating so you won't be sitting there drooling.

I am so in love with this item!!!!! I have already purchased one for one of my daughters as a birthday gift and she loves hers too! Here at work there are 3 of us that have them in 3 different styles and though they each love theirs I love this one the most. Easy to clean. I can leave the base at work and take the purple part home to fill with whatever I bring and then I just walk in, set it on the base and spin. Light comes on and it starts heating. 3-4 hours and your soup is hot! I also will microwave a sweet potato at home for 4 minutes put it in the pot until lunch, 3 to 4 hours and I have a nice hot, soft, baked potato ready to eat! Highly recommend this item!!!!

This thing has changed my lunch game. I avoided bringing things for lunch that needed to be heated up because office slobs keep the microwave in a state of explosive horror and there was no way I was going to use that thing. With this, I can have a hot lunch without having to deal with the messy kitchen. I keep the base plug in my desk drawer and transport the crock between work and home when I use it. I just plug it in a couple of hours before my lunch break and it has my food perfectly hot when I'm ready to eat. I have not had any issues with the lid not being secure or with any smells of my lunch stinking up the office.

Loving this thing. I bought 2. Mainly so I could test meals at home to ensure they are office worthy. There aren't many sites in the web about this so I was hoping I'd like it but it works great for reheating. I was only eating salads at work because of microwave lines. I took a chance and glad I did. I leave the outer container and the heating assembly in office and carry the covered tin back and forth in my lunch box. The container holds 3.5 cups and replacement tins are unavailable. The good news is that the older style container is 3 cups and works perfectly in this. I bought both types and I never use the old style - I don't care for carrying the cord. If I had nowhere to stash the cord assembly at work, the older might work better. It is overall smaller. The tins on both are the same height but the older style is a smudge more narrow so there is a tiny gap. In use the results are the same. These only get to about 175 degrees in my testing so they will only cook fish like salmon well. They aren't hot enough for chicken or beef - they are designed to only reheat. If given about 3 hours, this will cook frozen vegetables to barely tender crisp stage but no further. Reheating from frozen takes about 2 hours or so. A can of progresso soup is about as hot as I can eat it in 2 hours - perfect for soups. I haven't found anything in a can that doesn't work well. I've emptied microve meals into this with mixed success. Some rices and noodles will absorb too much liquid in 2 hours making sauces a bit thick. Others come out great. Some I can't get to break up to fit in a tin. I cut a sub sandwich in half, removed veggies and stuffed in this and it came out GREAT! I tried a dried soup mix designed to boil in a pan. The contents cooked but the liquid didn't thicken. I plan on trying again and with some masa added - we shall see.

This has to be one of my best purchases ever. I use it in the office almost every day for almost four years now. I came back with this review to let everyone know that: It is good as new, after years of constant use. I wash the inner pot almost daily, sometimes in the dishwasher and it is still in perfect condition. I never had a spill or malfunction of any kind. Food is always perfectly warmed up, it really doesn't take more than 1 hour, or even less depending on the food. Never ever had a smell while warming up. Great for office use. No one will even know it's there. I should mention that i only carry the inner pot back and forth and leave all the rest at the office. I think it is much more convenient. Many times I carry it in my handbag, inside some waterproof lunch bag or even a sturdy nylon bag. The shape is really convenient for that. To conclude, five stars are really not enough for this little gem.

Went on a trip recently and the hotel we were staying in had no microwaves in the rooms, just downstairs in the main lobby area. This was perfect! It actually was BETTER than a microwave because of the way the food tasted. Example: We went to a restaurant and had leftovers by the time we wanted to re-heat the food, it was late and we had the crockpot!. It was beef and noodles it was hot in 13 minutes.

I use it to cook hard-boiled egg as breakfast. I would put the egg and water in at nigh before I go to sleep, and the eggs would be perfectly done in the morning!
