Works great for uniform shirts with shoulder straps

I know these are supposed to be for suits, but I needed something for hanging shirts with shoulder straps (see picture). On normal hangers, the whole strap falls off one side or the other, meaning that either the back of the shirt gets compressed and extra wrinkled, or the front of the shirt does. These hangers keep the shoulder strap right on top where it should be, so the shirt hangs like it should. They seem sturdy enough, but I just got them, so I can't really comment on durability, etc. They were the cheapest I could find in this category with decent reviews, but still kind of pricy for a hanger. But worth it to avoid extra wrinkles.

Only hangers I order!

These are the only hangers I order for my husbands shirts! They are well made and large enough in the shoulder width of the hanger arms so there are no bumps in his shirts or sweaters!

Classy, durable organization

Exactly what I needed for my sport coats. Thin plastic hangers were leaving bubbles in the shoulder. These, while not the finest quality material, far exceed plastic, and they look good for the price point.

Smart look for a polished closet

So I love having a walk-in closet. It is a new experience for me and I like to hide in there from kids and responsibility. These hangers are really quite nice and add a classy polished look to the closet. They are wide enough for my Giant husband's (6'7") sport jackets and I also use them for blouses that might stretch on the shoulders (knits/lacy). I have already order twice and might order again. Give them a try. The dark walnut finish is very lovely.

I have transitioned all of my good clothes from plastic hangers to these wood hanger over the last few months. Have bought both the regular size and the larger ones for blazers and coats. They would lovely, and make your closet look way classy than it is :-).

I know they're just hangers but I love them

My husband is a BIG man. Like 6'5" and 350 lbs big. so his clothes are big. That means that cheap plastic hangers will not suffice for anything more than a t-shirt for him. I had been doubling the plastic hangers up, but decided that we are old enough now to start using nice hangers for grown ups. That is why I ordered these extra wide wooden hangers from J.S. Hanger. Normally, I don't review items on their packaging but there have been so many reviews that commented on the condition of the hangers on arrival, that I feel like I need to. My hangers came tightly bundled in a well padded box. After removing the outer plastic wrapping, each hanger was individually wrapped in foam sheeting to protect it. Every one of the hangers was in pristine condition. I'm not saying there weren't problems in the past. But the seller has really listened to feedback and made sure that the hangers were protected in transit. Now on to the product itself. These hangers are gorgeous. The finish is rich and lustrous. I've never had hangers that swelled at the shoulder area like these and I now know that I need them in my life. They hold the sleeves of suit jackets open to prevent dents in the shoulders. They also hold dresses up without clips, safety pins or any other tricks. Plus the swell creates spacing between items of clothing to prevent crushing and wrinkling during storage. The hangers are extremely sturdy and hold up well to my husbands gigantic suits.The hook turns easily and doesn't wobble in the hanger. I had originally bought just enough for his suit jackets but now I will be ordering enough to hang all of my dresses as well.

Closets are looking much better...

These hangers are beautiful and everything looks so neat and organized in the 2 closets that I just reorganized. I bought 2 boxes of the regular wooden hangers which were nice, except some were a little scratchy. The extra wide seemed a better quality. I bought 2 boxes of those for heavy coats. I am very pleased with the look and the way the clothes stay on the hangers. I will be purchasing more soon.

Great hanger for the price

Finish and construction were fine with my order. Wood quality is comparable to the price. I have a birchwood suit coat hanger from Kirby Allison and a cedar contour hanger from Woodlore that are both superior in wood quality and construction but at five times the cost. The five star review is based on product and price. I'm using them with size 38 suits and sport coats. The rounded ends protrude slightly from the shoulder seam, but not so much as to stress the fabric. It's barely noticed and likely hangs a 40 coat perfectly.
