Strong and easy
Worked well. I didn't have a box where I was replacing an older T8 fluorescent fixture. The ceiling joist was close to the wires for the old fixture...flipped the new box over, traced the outside of it, and then cut a circle with a keyhole saw. After that simply pulled the wires through the knockout holes, pushed it up into the ceiling, and drive the two included screws into the joist. Very sturdy. Word to the wise though, if you're not using a round fixture (I was installing a new 48 inch long led light), make sure the screws to hang the fixture will orient it in the direction you want to go. I had to do a little barnyard engineerimg to make it right. But with a standard fixture that has a circular base to mount to the ceiling you'll have no issues. I recommend the box.

Exactly what I needed
The kitchen light box from the 1970s broke and the light was holding on by the wires. This replacement box worked perfectly. Luckily there was joist next to the opening and the nail from the old box was not in the way. I was able to place a bit extender on my drill and it attached without a problem. The box is solidly in place and I got the light in place. I wish the big box stores carried this or something similar in stock.

Stop buying the cheapest box you can find
These are amazingly sturdy. Well worth the extra few pennies. Especially if you are going to drywall around them yourself. They won’t move, melt under duress from rotary tools, or give way after abuse by people who randomly take out aggression on electrical plugs. Best of all, easy to adjust the depth, replace, or just plain relocate if you have a 50/50 fail rate of box placement like me.

Quick way to hang lightweight fixtures.
This easy to install ceiling box was perfect for hardwiring and hanging a small 6 pound chandelier without a joist at the desired point. Not for fans or other heavy fixtures, though!

Just what I needed
Had an issue replacing a new vanity light from the one that was original to the house. They only used toggle bolts to hold the old one up. This worked perfectly since I only had a side of one stud to hang it. Only found this on Amazon.

Appears well made and sturdy
I needed to replace an exterior light fixture box and this made it possible. There was no way to use a hammer to drive nails in the confined space and this was just the ticket. Looked well made and sturdey

Easy install, minimum damage to drywall
I like having the mounting screws on the inside of the box, you don't have to make a large hole in the drywall to mount it. Once mounted, it seem very secure.

Excellent product and strong
These were a great buy and far superior than average boxes. Much deeper and super strong with the ability to compensate adjustable depth.
