- NDS POP-UP DRAINAGE EMITTERS: Acts as the discharge point of a drainage system. The pop-up emitter is opened by the hydrostatic pressure of water flowing through the drain pipe and as flow diminishes the emitter closes
- POP-UP TOP ADVANTAGE: This will keep rodents and debris out of the system, and reduces a trip hazard posed by open drains
- SAVE EARTH AND SAVE HOME: Manufactured from 100% recycled HDPE. NDS Pop-Up Drainage allows water to be diverted and released to water-safe areas away from structures, erosion-prone landscapes, and poor drainage areas
- NDS DRAINAGE EMITTER FITTINGS: The NDS pop-up drainage emitter is an easy, safe, and efficient solution to any drainage needs
- AVAILBILE SIZE: NDS Pop up Drainage Emitter is available in Dimension(s): 1-1/4" H. Diameter: 5-15/16"; inner diameter: 3-7/16". It fits 3-inch and 4-inch hub sewer and drain fittings

If you've lost your outside water runoff drain
Lawnmowers, long grass, dirt. My water runoff drain popup got lost and buried under the grass. After digging up around the drive way, I found the uncovered drainage pipe. Important to measure the opening, so you can order the correct pop-up drainage emitter. Now i know where my water run pipe is.

Great product - Incompatible with lawn tractors :)
These work great. I would recommend just slip fitting it onto the pipe and not gluing, especially if you are as dumb as me and keep forgetting about it when you mow. I've replaced it twice because the mower deck lifts the cover and cuts it off. I use it to diffuse waste water from the swimming pool when backwashing the filter sand. It waters the lawn without making a straight running line of water that washes the soil.

Perfect replacement
Husband hit ours with the lawn mower and this was the exact replacement. Easy to replace and back in business.

This is a quality product. Customer service/tech support are completely incompetent.
This is a quality product. Solid plastic with free moving pop up that always comes back down. Customer service/tech support are completely incompetent. I wanted to use Schedule 40 for my runs. I read Spider's review with interest in that he was told that, if you use schedule 40, you will need NDS part #3P16 as an adapter. 100% accurate. You can then connect the emitter with either a street 90 or use a section of actual pipe. The emitter will fit like a glove. Without the adapter, the emitter will fit loosely in the hub and will need to be screwed down. Not a good job IMHO. Despite 2 calls to NDS I was told both times that there was no need for an adapter despite using S40. That's not true unless you want the above-mentioned loose fit. Both people told me that they use DWV pipe and not schedule 40 because schedule 40 is for pressure. While there is a pressure rating for S40 it is widely used for non-pressure DWV usage. What NDS specs is the very thin wall PVC that is not code in many states even for non-pressure DWV. I do not like to use the thinner PVC since I believe S40 to be good for outside applications, fittings are plentiful, it glues/bonds extremely well, etc. By the way, if you plan to use a catch basin (for example at the downspout) get the NDS Catch Basin Kit. The kit has fittings that will accept S40 at that end with no adapter needed. With a little perseverance and some helpful comments, it all came together.

Excellent pop up drain head.
Is identical to the one that I damaged except this one does not have the spring to hold it down. Vacuum or suction from the lawn more can suck it up easier to damage it. That is how I damaged the first one when I had the lawn mower set quite low while mowing the lawn.

For those that don't know about pipe specs...fit perfectly on pipe with 4 3/16" inside diameter
I am not an expert on "types of pipes" so I just wanted to post that this unit worked great on the drain from one of my downspouts. My white drain fitting was exactly 4 1/2" Outside Diameter and had an inside diameter of 4 3/16" and this unit fit perfectly. I just wanted to say that a 4" pipe does not have an inside diameter of "exactly" 4 inches -- but again, I am no expert, I just took the measurement. I would buy this again. Thank you.

Works as advertised, but you'll have to pay attention to the pipe you're working with
Installed one of these pop-up emitters on the end of my new downspout drain run. I used 4" SDR35 PVC sewer pipe and had no issues getting it to mate with one of the flared ends of the pipe. As it sits in my application, the emitter fits snugly into the flared end, but would not have fit if I tried putting it on a cut/non-flared end of the 4"pipe. Would absolutely recommend this pop-up with 4"SDR35 pipe, I don't know how it would fit with other nominal pipe sizes/schedules.

Perfect for Overflow of Dry Well
Used this for an overflow of dry well system in yard and works perfectly and disguises well in the grass.

Works like a champ; elegantly simple solution
Works like a champ. I installed a NDS catch basin drain to get water out of a low corner of my driveway and then under an adjacent sidewalk and into my yard to drain. Problem with the yard is that it is gently sloped and only slightly lower than the catch basin, so trying to cut in a horizontal PVC drain of any kind was out of the question. Instead I mounted this emitter on a 90-degree elbow and set it flush with the yard. Works perfectly and is unobtrusive when not being used. Only downside that I can see is that right after install, if you have any good rains you're likely going to get a little bit of erosion around the base of the emitter if it's installed on a soft/dirt surface. This isn't a design flaw, just something to be aware of. So over time, as your grass grows back in, you'll probably have to add some dirt around this device to get it back flush with the surrounding surfaces. Not a big deal at all, just be aware you might have to re-grade a little to make it perfect over time.

Works well
Buried my gutter lines and these work well. Don’t seem to stick and work as advertised.
