I loved Slim Jims as a child in the 1970s and '80s. And my 15-year-old daughter follows my footsteps. But we're now in this health-crazed, restrictive eating era. Ought not eat meat. Ought not eat salt. Ought not eat ANYTHING tasty nor hearty. No worries. I may can't find these anymore in my local, family-oriented stores. But I can buy all that I want on Amazon!! My daughter and I no longer creep into non-child-friendly, overpriced liquor stores, just to buy Slim Jims! I just type away on-line, and order as many, decently priced Slim Jims as I want! My daughter is pleased!... SO pleased, that I hide what I buy, until I decide to hand her just one-at-a-time. Feels good to be a good mom who still promotes healthy eating, while recognizing everyone's "need" sometimes for a tasty, hearty, no-need-to-feel-guilty-about-it, treat!

Meat snacks for your mouth

No review is necessary. These are legit Slim Jim snacks at a decent deal (These are cheaper than any store sells them for and certainly cheaper than your sister, who also loves to stuff her mouth with meat). So pull the trigger on this deal already and snap into a Slim Jim!! ...or don't. I could really care less

Hot Enough, but should be called Shart Sticks

For those that want beef jerky that'll melt your tongue off, you'll never find it mass produced so quit whining. .00001% of the population can handle extreme foods. This is about as hot as they can make it and still sell to most everybody (that digs jerky). I'm pretty versed in spicy foods and this isn't what I consider hot, its not even hot enough to require a beverage - but I've had a lot of beef jerky and this is the hottest. Quick burn that goes away pretty quick. Flavor is your normal Slim Jim with a little bite. I highly recommend and will buy again. Updated 8/11/14 - I still think these are delicious but I will not be buying them anymore. I finally figured out these are the ones liquifying my intestines. Other hot food I can handle, but for whatever reasons my digestive system is not happy. Moments after eating one my stomach starts churning and moaning. I have read other reviewers complaining of the same thing. So the remaining ones I have left are only eaten on Fridays and Saturdays.

Great taste Good price

This if for the original flavor "Slimjim". These are Giant slims. They are sold for ¢99 at the register of most super markets. They presented in the same box Amazon sells them in. The box has 24 giant slim snacks. Amazon has been selling them for $17.28 since the first of the year (almost 5 free sticks). I bought 7 boxes so far. I just press my "dash button" and they show up 2 days later.

Great little snack to hold you over till dinner.

I ordered both this (Giant) and the (Monster) size, they were both good - arrived fresh - with an expiration date of 10 months out. The Monster size has 270 calories per stick with 22g fat, 9g carbs, 11g protein. They are 12 inches long. These Giant-size have 140 calories per stick with 11g fat, 4g carb, 6g protein. They are 13 inches long. The Giant size is on Amazons Sub N Save program and both are cheaper here than any other store I've looked.

Dog Bribery

I use these to bribe my dog into listening to me. If hes ignoring me, I ask him if he wants to snap into a Slim Jim and he loses it. He does my bidding and is rewarded with a little bite. If only it worked like that on my husband.

Slim Jim is the best, Habenero is the spiciest!

I love this Slim Jim flavor! It is so hard to find at gas stations so I usually have to settle for Tabasco, sometimes I get lucky enough to get Jalapeño. Habenero is my favorite though. It is so spicy and has such good flavor. I like it so much I caved and bought a damn 24 pack of them! But I convinced myself that it was a good idea because the price made each stick less than a dollar and there is no way they are ever that cheap at the stores, so win/win! Side note... Slim Jim is the best beef stick brand. I have tried all others for their spicy flavors and they suck. Slim Jim for life. And Habenero is the best if you like really spicy, Jalapeño is second best if you want less heat, and Tabasco last for a little bit of heat. ENJOY!

Satisfying! Will Miss Them.

We use these daily. Yes, use! They satisfy our yearning to overeat without overeating. One per day shuts off the urge for in between snacking on carbs, for us. I keep one in my purse and my husband keeps a couple in his desk drawer. Sorry the cost is going up so drastically. We guess it's another result of the hurricanes and flooding. We can't afford them as we simply can't pay more than one dollar for each stick. 500% increase is ridiculous. Also we were shorted one stick. Only time this has happened. Ever! If we weren't meal and snack planning it wouldn't matter as much but we always count. We've never received extra so we're ending down overall but past history of great taste, price and availability gets 5 stars.

these were good!

I am picky about my slim jims, they have to be soft a juicy, and not hard and dry... these were good! Edit- 9/5/16 I was reading the negative reviews and I think its funny that most the reasons people have for NOT liking them, are the reasons I DO like them!!! The gross greasy yellow stuff, YUM! ha ha In my head its gross, but I keep coming back for more and the softer and greasier, the better!!! I may get clogged arteries from them.... But I cant get myself to stop eating these.. Update: still love them.

Fiery goodness, and hard to find in stores - Thanks Amazon!

I used to work somewhere that sold these, and I would routinely buy us out. It's hard to find in stores, but I LOVE these things. They are definitely hot and spicy, but so delicious. I tried to eat one a day with my first order to avoid the fiery consequences with the second batch. These are delicious, and I advocate any lover of spicy food should try them at least once.
