Didnt like it... color was ok but the paint was kinda thick and so was the clear coat... reduced noticability of the scratch was still there... ***update*** A couple weeks later i noticed the clear coat and color blended up and the thickness was reduced significantly i guess u can say it cured or something but I changed this from a 1-2 start to a 4-5 star i must say i like this alot now and will be touching up all the remaining scratches

This Paint Pen matched the color of my car perfectly. At first I was hesitant to buy it based on the reviews but I'm glad I did. It has a primer and base coat combined and a separate section for Clear Coat. It has a two application methods for paint (Brush and Pen) and a sponge like brush for clear coat. I used the brush and it worked great. It spread the paint evenly. I urge people to read the instructions before using it. I've watched several YouTube videos before using it and most of them are incorrect or give bad advice so, be careful. The tip of the pen has a scuffing tip which is essential for the paint to adhere to the car, please use it. Also, use gentle pressure when using all applicators. I used too much pressure when applying the clear coat and the sponge began to tear. Remember, take your time and don't rush the application. Prep work is the most important part of painting a car. I had roughly 10 - 15 chips I needed to fill, I scuffed and cleaned my surfaces and waited the correct time between coats. The pen comes with plenty of paint to fix chips and scratches. Another note, if your car is older or has more exposure to the sun than normal (California) it might not match perfectly.

Worked great on my Tesla Model 3 standard 18" rims to cover up minor curb rash.

This is an absolutely fantastic product, and completely exceeded my expectations. I have "ebony" rims on my 2016 Ford Fusion which were immaculate until one fateful day when I clipped a curb when taking a turn and suffered some "curb rash." The paint scraped off and there was about an inch of exposed alloy which was painfully obvious since it's silver-colored and the rest of my wheels are black. I read the reviews for a number of products and finally settled on this one since it looked like an easy application and came with a clear coat to protect the work. And WOW, it really worked. I sanded the area down just a little bit, and started to apply the paint. I only needed to apply one coat and it was perfect, completely matching the original paint work. I didn't even bother doing a second coat of black, it was so perfect. I let it dry for 30 minutes and then applied the clear coat and now you can't even tell there was any damage to the rims whatsoever. And I mean that seriously, or I would have said so. You can only tell if your eyeballs are inches from the rims and/or you run your fingers across the surface of the rims and find a small rough patch from the initial scraping. This stuff is perfect and works 10 times better than some of the crazy home remedies I searched for on YouTube before settling for this product. I'm sure it works just as well on the paint on your car, but for those people who scraped their rims on a curb, this is the perfect solution for you. My rims have a kind of sheen to them so I went with this Universal Black, which makes it a bit shiny after application. PERFECT!

The rust remover end works really good to scratch off the rust. The paint covers perfect and I used this month's ago and it's holding up good. Just be careful that you don't open it upside down and dump all the paint out like I did.

Accidentally hit a curb causing a couple of small scratches on the outer edge my black wheels. Decided to give this touch-up paint a shot to cover up said scratches instead of going to a body shop and probably end up paying way more. Looked at a youtube tutorial on how to apply the Dupli-Color's touch-up paint since it didn't really come with any instructions, the paint did what I needed it to do. If I had to do it again I would probably sand my wheels down more before applying the touch-up paint but that's my fault on the product's fault. Included pics to show before and after.

I purchased this pen to fix a small chip in the hood of my recently purchased used prius. It did that easily. When I realized just how easy it would be to fix things, I decided to fix some much bigger scratches on the back bumper. The older couple who leased it before me backed too far into their garage one day. The dealer decided to fix it by globbing a red paint they already had on hand all over the scratches. i was able to take off that paint with the abrasive tip, sand down the scratches and make the bumper look new again. In fact, after waiting 30 minutes for the red coat to dry, I struggled to find where the scratches were to apply the clear glaze over top. It covered that well! I got the car for $1000 less because of the bumper, and I fixed it with a $12 paint pen. I'm beyond thrilled with this purchase!

Color fits my Acura. Shake well before use. There is going to be a very slight color difference even though it's an exact match, because the car's paint was sprayed on and this scratch fix is applied using the brush or the tip. It's not going to be completely unnoticeable but you won't be able to tell unless you look very closely. Use a toothpick for smaller areas. Makes tiny scratches almost disappear :)

Im happy with these results. Before & After attached.

I used this because the color exactly matches the stock rims on my Tesla Model 3. It greatly reduces the appearance of curb rash from when I scraped the curb the other day. So far so good.
